The owner visited on our first evening and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay.

He arrived with freshly baked scones. These were delicious! He also gave us lots of information on the area that fitted with our lifestyle. This ensured we had a great experience without wasting time searching for dog friendly beaches etc. Would highly recommend a stay at this property. Great location to visits lots of beaches and do walks along the cliffs.

Jon the cottage owner was really nice and passionate about giving positive experience to his customers.

He kept the cottage very clean and the appliances were all in good condition. The cottage location is perfect if you would like to travel around the main attractions in west Cornwall, only 30 minutes drive to Land’s End, St. Ives and St. Michael’s Mount. Besides, I really appreciate the water pumping system in the cottage as it was working well enough for us to have a good shower (and good toilet flush!) after a long day trip. If I have to point out any “defect”, it would be the entrance door. The door was safe but it would be great if the window glasses could be changed to frosted glass to provide more privacy to the ground floor of the cottage. But in general, we had a great experience during our stay.

It was very nice to meet the owner, John, who called round armed with homemade scones, jam and cream, delicious. The only thing we thought could have improved our stay was a bigger television, it was far too small for the size of the room, but this would not stop us staying again. Thank you

We had a fantastic week at this lovely property.

It was spotless and very well equipped. Pendeen is a great location to visit many places and we enjoyed lovely walks along the coast. We visit Cornwall every year and this is among the best we’ve stayed in. Thanks to Jon for popping around to make sure everything was okay and bringing home made scones with jam and cream!

We had a lovely week away in this cosy cottage & were very grateful when we arrived after a long journey down to find the heating already on .

The cottage is nicely decorated & was spotlessly clean . The nightlights in both hallways are a very good idea especially if you need to get up in the night & unsure where the light switches are . The location is good for exploring The Tin Coast , plenty of walks & a local bus service if you fancy leaving the car behind for the day . A well stocked spar shop , pub & cafe at Geevor tin mine all within walking distance. We had a visit from Jon the owner with some tasty homemade scones ( in addition to the lovely welcome basket) , he made sure we knew how everything worked & also gave us some more ideas for places to visit . We would have no hesitation about rebooking for another stay .

A wonderfully insulated property, comfortably warm within minutes of switching heating on.

Very convenient parking and short distance from Spar shop and the North Inn pub. Well equipped kitchen including a great microwave combo oven. Two comfortable bedrooms, 1 twin and 1 double. Wardrobe in double bedrooms might be better suited in the far corner. Love the overhead shower. All in all, a lovely holiday cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the cottage, with very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, lovely spacious sitting room and an excellent shower in the bathroom.

A bonus was being able to pop out to walk the dog in the large fields behind the village shop & pub, just minutes away. Great food and a friendly welcome in both the North Inn and Trewellard Arms and a very memorable breakfast at Geevor Tin Mine, but we'll have to return to experience the legendary scones usually provided by Jon as he was away until our very last night, but still managed to keep in touch with us to offer lots of local tips about where to visit, which was much appreciated, plus arranging the fabulous welcome basket, of course.

We had three wonderfull weeks in that lovely cottage.

Everything was even better than we expected it.The weather was perfect for all these things we did. It was a great pleasure to meet Jon. Location of cottage was good, very peaceful but the were no ‘Views’ from the cottage.

It is an old comfortable cottage with a modern rear extension, however the design meant there wasn’t a very comfortable dining area. The cottage was clean and simple but rather dark in the main room. The bath/shower room is ok though the shower cubicle was on the small side and the hand basin is tiny with a wall mounted cabinet above made using the basin very uncomfortable. There is a tiny rear garden with unattractive large tank partially concealed by a large blank wall. The small front well maintained garden feels too exposed to sit and enjoy a meal especially as it overlooks parked cars. The welcome pack was sweet, the cottage’s owner also presented us with beautiful homemade scones with all the cream tea accessories - just as we were sitting down to dinner on our penultimate evening.

We had the most amazing week staying in this lovely, comfortable holiday cottage.

There was a lovely welcome basket in the kitchen. The property is charming and set in the heart of Pendeen. Two pubs which serve excellent food are within walking distance and both are dog friendly. We had amazing weather at the end of April and really enjoyed walks on the coastal path towards St Just and to Gurnards Head. There is an amazing beach within walking distance (right from Pendeen Light House) where we sat and said Wow. St Just is lovely. If you park in Cot Vally you can walk to Sennen on the coastal path. We went to the Minick which was amazing. Jon the owner popped round during our stay and bought amazing scones , clotted cream and jam. You could not hope to meet a nicer person, who was very knowledgeable about the area. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. My dog did jump over the garden wall, so if you have a larger dog you may need to keep on a lead. We loved Pendeen, and have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and we hope to return.

We arrived on Monday for a short break until Friday.

The cottage was lovely with a nice welcome basket. It has everything we needed was was exceptionally clean. Unfortunately we had to cut the holiday short but we will be back

This is a superb cottage, beautifully equipped and managed.

Jon Williams, the owner, is so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The welcoming hamper and superb homemade scones, clotted cream and jam (jam first!) were to die for. The location is ideal for touring west Cornwall and there are several nearby pubs which are excellent. Really couldn't be better and we had a wonderful break over Christmas. Thoroughly recommended.

The first impressions are always important and the cottage did not disappoint.

The cottage was cosy, welcoming, well decorated and spotlessly clean, probably the cleanest cottage we have stayed in. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped with high quality appliances, plus lots of complimentary goodies! On our way to the cottage the housekeeper, Tanya, called to say the cottage was ready, which I thought was a nice touch. In the first evening, the owner, Jon, called in to make sure we had settled in OK and checked that we had everything we needed, we had a good chat for a while. Jon called around a couple of days later with scones, jam & clotted cream, which were fantastic, cheers Jon! (cream first). All in all we had a wonderful stay at 15 Boscaswell Downs and look forward to the next time.

Very nice weather at beginning of our week. House very comfortable. Jon very helpful. Wednesday lunchtime OAP deal at Kings Arm in St Just is excellent, but they were hard pressed on service. Did a lot of touring - Perranporth beach excellent for walking/C Bay Spa at West Pentire lovely for lunch/Trelissick NT worth a visit/ Porthleven/Hayle/Carbis Bay/Pendeen lighthouse etc.

We had a lovely week away in the cottage.

Upon entering the cottage we were very pleasantly surprised, it was spotlessly clean, well equipped & roomy. The owner Jon called around to see if we had settled in OK & provided us with some very usual info on places to visit. We found it very useful that the garden was secured by a small fence, to our dog to roam freely. We would definitely recommend this cottage

The house is situated in a very good location with easy access North, South and East, in fact I don't think you could stay in a better location, with a very welcoming pub (The North Inn), serving lovely food, 200 yards away. We recently spent a delightful week at Boscaswell Downs in Cornwall, and it was nothing short of magical.

From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the charm of this lovely cottage. Nestled in a serene and picturesque location, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The cottage itself is beautifully maintained, blending rustic charm with modern comforts. The interior was cozy and tastefully decorated, making us feel right at home. Jon was a welcoming and great host and we loved the scones and welcome gifts! The cottage was clean, quiet and ideally located for us - great access to all the beaches and places we love. We look forward to returning in the future and I would heartily recommend Boscaswell Downs.

The cottage was beautifully presented and had everything we needed for our stay.

It is in a quiet and secluded area in the small village of Pendeen, yet St Ives, Penzance, Land’s End are all easily accessible by car. The clifftop walk from Land’s End to Sennen and seeing dolphins on a boat trip from Penzance were highlights. The Porthmeor Beach Cafe in St Ives and The Queen’s Arms in Botallack were both excellent and dog friendly.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at 15 Boscaswell Downs.

Beautiful property, we all just felt relaxed and at home straight away. The hamper was outstanding, I have to say the best we’ve ever had as a welcoming treat, treats for our fur family too. Personally I think hampers give that added surprise when you arrive at your chosen holiday. It was lovely to meet Jon the owner, he made us all feel welcome and aware if we had any issues that he was only a phone call away. Thanks Jon for recommending eateries and places of interest. After a busy Sunday Jon arrived with freshly cooked scones along with cream and jam, a cream tea Delicious!! The cottage is a place we wouldn’t hesitate to return to, I’ve already recommended to other family members and friends. Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need. Great location for a walking holiday. Super walks, excellent pubs, a Spar shop across the road. What more do you need? Jon the cottage owner visited to check we had all we need. He made us very welcome We would highly recommend this cottage

The cottage was immaculate.

It provided everything needed, an extremely generous welcome hamper, and clear instructions for all appliances including the wood burner. A slight hiccup with the boiler was swiftly dealt with and additionally compensated for. We’ll be back!

Everything was just as we would expect it, nothing to fault about the cottage at all.

However giving an incorrect post code caused a great deal of stress.

Jon has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making his guests at home and comfortable.

The cottage is spotless and spacious and really well located for lots of walks. Lovely bedlinen and big bath towels, well equipped kitchen, big lounge with lots of seating and a welcome hamper. We have stayed in a lot of holiday cottages but never one with as much evidence of the owner's care and attention to detail.

This is a beautiful, well equipped cottage.

Perfectly positioned to explore the area, with Lands End, Cape Cornwall and the Tin Mine museum all pretty much only a stone throw away. Not to mention St Michael’s Mount is only a short drive. Local pubs also offer great hospitality and food. If you want to explore this part of Cornwall, you won’t go wrong from this cottage

We've spent 30 years coming to Pendeen and have stayed all over the village.

This has been one of the nicest places to stay and we have enjoyed every minute. We hope to be back again very soon! - Thank you.

Spotlessly clean and very comfy bed.

Kitchen exceptionally well equipped. It was a very nice touch for the owner to call round to welcome us and talk us through the heating etc - although there was a very comprehensive folder with all instruction manuals. Welcome pack not only for us but also for the dog. Lovely wild flowers on the kitchen table. Jon also popped round the next day with some lovely home made scones for us, which were absolutely delicious. Worth reading the visitor's book to see where to go and where to eat - although Jon had already given all this info during his introduction. Would not hesitate to recommend and would stay again.

Fabulously comfortable, home from home cottage.

There's so much to mention about this spacious property that is great, so will highlight a few; superb lounge with log burner and generous sofas, super comfy beds, generous bathroom and shower, well equipped kitchen and a safe garden for dogs unless they are fence jumpers! It was good to have a parking space and we walked several times a day down to the coast, minutes away, and up the the higher ground, inland. Handy to be able to stroll to local pubs for food (all dog friendly) and a must try, Geevor Mine Cafe, 10 minutes away. Jon the owner is a friendly and knowledgeable host, always an asset when you are new to visiting the area. We would highly recommend staying in this lovely cottage and will be heading back there.

Nothing was too much trouble went above and beyond for me and my dad after a nightmare at another cottage. This place is stunning! Very homely we had everything we needed and more and I can’t wait to return.

15 Boscaswell Downs Very clean and comfortable cottage and has all you could wish for in a holiday cottage and so very central in the village of Pendeen for shop and pubs, the owner of the cottage Jon was just so helpful with all his local knowledge and his recommendations of eating out and nothing was too much trouble for him.

I would recommend Pendeen and and this cottage for exploring this part of beautiful Cornwall.

Loved everything about 15 Boscaswell Downs.

Bright, comfortable, airy property in a quiet cul-de-sac, with just the sound of bird song. There are bus stops on either side of the road which we found were a great way of seeing the beauty of Cornwall that was all around. The hedgerows are truly wonderful at this time of year. The most fabulous walks and wonderful sunsets. Jon was really helpful, he has such a great knowledge of the area, we never bothered to Google, we just asked Jon!! Will return again, to just walk the cliff paths & enjoy everything about this special place.

Great property, large lounge, comfortable sofas and wood-burner with a few days logs supplied, lovely start up groceries, secure garden ideal for dogs, clean, tidy, well equipped, ideal location just a short walk from the doorstep to the SW coastal path.

No need to leave Pendeen village for good places to eat all within 2 mins walk Portuguese tapas at Maria Chica, North Inn serving the best pub food and 10 mins walk Geevor Tin Mine cafe with fantastic views straight out to sea. Discovered many circular walking routes back to the cottage, unspoilt coves accessible only by foot, Pendeen Lighthouse and Geevor all walkable. Short car journey to Penzance, Praa Sands about 20 mins away and The Lizard not too far, close links to A30. Good locality but equally good for a base to explore a wider area. Owner very helpful and always available to give assistance with local knowledge on hidden gems to explore. Thoroughly recommend and very sad to leave!

Our second visit as we love this place.

Accomodation is clean, warm and well equipped. I recommend visiting Hayle Beach. Stop of at Lula's on north Quay for a spot of lunch. Beautiful beach, great walk for dogs and humens. St Ives has a few beaches worth visiting plus a number of great fudge shops if that's your thing. Lizard Point on a dry day is worth visiting. So many beautiful places to visit. Thanks for sharing this lovely cottage and your local knowledge with us.

We had a wonderful stay at 15 Boscaswell Downs - a lovely, clean and well equipped property in a perfect location.

We couldn’t have wished for more! There are plenty of things to see and do in the surrounding area, especially the beautiful beaches and the most amazing sunsets. If you are able to venture off the beaten track you will certainly find more of the area’s most natural beauty. We absolutely loved the stunning Portheras Cove which is about half an hour walk from Pendeen Lighthouse on the coastal footpath. It’s not the easiest of walks (especially with arms full of beach equipment!) but it’s well worth it! And we also enjoyed a lovely walk from Sennen Harbour towards Lands End where you will come across the RMS Mulheim shipwreck. A day on the open top coaster bus is also highly recommended, for which the bus stops just 2 minutes away from the property on the main road near the shop. (On that note, the shop being just 2 minutes away from the property is also extremely handy!) So much to keep the family entertained, and all topped off with cosy nights in this ideal homely property. We found that we were short of nothing in the kitchen and all appliances were easy to use. The beds were comfortable and we all slept very well. And we felt perfectly settled into the living room on an evening with a cup of Cornish Tea and shortbread biscuits! Would highly recommend this property to anybody looking to discover this beautiful natural area.

It was very last minute due to an overseas cancellation. However. the whole family agreed it was as if we had booked this a year in advance. Extremely clean cottage and had everything for our needs. Great location, very friendly village and we were blessed with gorgeous weather. Thank you.

We have had a very comfortable week and we're blessed with sunny warm weather.

The area is beautiful with lots of local walks over the top or to beautiful beaches and mines. The people around were very friendly, in the pubs and shops. The house was very clean, relaxing and conformable and had everything we needed for our week away. Two minor things that may be worth reporting but didn't detract at all from our holiday and time in the house: we could not get terrestrial TV as there was no aerial and we tried through the roku but it was very slow to connect to anything. Maybe we weren't doing the right thing but we had no instructions. We had brought our firestick though so could stream iplayer to watch tennis and women's footy - we didn't use the TV much really though. The double bed mattress was a bit uncomfortable and has a slight dip in the middle but we slept pretty well anyway. We really did have a lovely time in a great house and location and would book again without hesitation, so would like to thanks to the owner and housekeeper for their thought and care.

Our first time of staying in Pendeen instead of Sennen. We've managed to have some lovely walks and brought back many happy memories of Cornwall. We will definitely be back in 2025! Many thanks to Jon for all his help, and for the wonderful hamper will will definitely enjoy! P.S. The food in the North Inn is very, very good and reasonably priced! Mike, Lona & Meg the dog
