“Kilcarreg is a very comfortable, well-equipped and conveniently-located property for a small family or small group holiday in North Cornwall - and less than an hour from the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan etc.”

The property

Superbly located for enjoying this most exclusive area of Cornwall, in the village of Rock on the north east bank of the River Camel, opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow.

This beautiful detached house set in delightful gardens is situated in a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential area of the village only five minutes’ walk from the centre and its high class shops.

You walk through the front garden and enter this lovely house into the hallway which will take you into the spacious sitting room with a woodburner for those cooler evenings or winter nights after a walk along the beach.

The conservatory adjoins the sitting room and overlooks the back garden offering a quiet spot for catching up with a good book.

There is also a snug providing another escape.

The well-equipped kitchen with adjoining utility room, a wet room for showering when coming off the beach or back from a day of watersports, and the charming dining area complete the ground floor accommodation.

On the first floor there are three individual bedrooms with the master having a four poster bed and en-suite shower room.

Outside the gardens really are a delight with even a little hideaway patio offering shade on those hot afternoons.

Within a ten minute walk or a four minute drive is the ferry point with excellent restaurants including the Mariner's pub and the famous Blue Tomato.

The mile long fine sand beach at Rock is fringed with dunes with water beautifully calm and clear making it a haven for all water based leisure pursuits.

Fishing, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and rowing are all on offer although it is best known for its sailing, with everything from dinghies to luxury cruisers.

Further along from the beach at Rock the safe bathing beach of Daymer Bay is sure to be a popular choice for families and offers a most enjoyable walk to and fro.

For the essential trip to Padstow a trip across on the ferry is strongly advised; with pubs and top class restaurants you will be spoilt for choice.

For a wonderful holiday to enjoy all this stunning area has to offer, a stay at Kilcarreg really is hard to beat whatever time of year.
