  • "On arrival we were disappointed that the garden was littered with leaves and the outdoor furniture was not clean."

The house smelt strongly of damp as soon as we entered. There were grey mould spores on two double room walls and mould running along the ceilings and walls in the back bedroom and bathrooms and on tiles. We complained to the agents by phone on the Sunday and in person on Monday . We got no response so visited the agents again on tuesday . My husband was having breathing problems consequently and had to sleep on a mattress on the living room floor for the duration of our stay and we communicated this with the agents. It was agreed when the agents visited the property that there was a mould and damp problem . A dehumidifier was provided and the smell slowly improved during the rest of the week.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We're very sorry that you had to experience these issues during your visit but thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we tried to sort them for you. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays. We hope to welcome you back to north Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Disappointed as not cheap to hire so expected better as back bedroom has black mould coming through the wall."

Kitchen floor has crack along most of floor. Lounge blinds have a slat missing and one chewed. Bathroom has what looks like massive water leak above ceiling, ceiling looked very damp in front of shower and window. Front gate latch doesn’t work properly. Blue cushion on settee zip was broken. These all seem small things but when you are paying a lot of money for week you expect better. The bungalow itself was lovely and roomy and beds very comfortable.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are pleased to hear that you found the bungalow spacious and the beds comfortable, but are very sorry to hear that you experienced some maintenance during your stay. Your comments will be raised to our maintenance team - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful holiday in the bungalow but had some problems with the cooker switch and TV controller but the maintenance man came out very quickly."

We also had trouble with hot water which seem to be unavailable some times. One evening we could not have showers because not hot water but in the morning it was Ok. We are elderly and needed to be careful on the patio some loose slates. Otherwise the bungalow was comfortable and pleasant.

  • "Pleasant bungalow and in a great location to visit all of Cornwall, has everything you need from a dishwasher to a washing machine."

Starting to look tired, needs the bathrooms refreshing, string around the shower head to keep it up was a little odd and the garden needs some TLC.

  • "Really enjoyed the stay at the cottage!"

There are a couple of general maintenance issues new toilet seat in main bathroom required as the existing has been repaired, shower hose holder doesn’t work and has cotton tied round it , and en-suite shower is slow to flow away . Apart from that we loved it and could go again.
