“There were mice in the pantry.”

This had obviously been a problem before as the hole had been blocked up. They are various items of food and everything else has to be thrown away as we did not know what they had contaminated. 'As the owner of Pencreek I must apologise profusely for your unwelcome visitor in the pantry and trust that the increased offer of compensation from John Bray will cover the cost of the food that took his fancy. Unfortunately there has to be a ventilation grill for air circulation in the cupboard and this was probably his way in. I am so sorry if it spoilt your stay but trust that some good weather and the beautiful Cornish scenery made up for it.' - Sykes owner relations
