  • "We have stayed in this property before, about 18 months ago, we have been visiting this area for more than 20 years, so the bungalow itself is ideally located and suitable for my elderly Mum."

    Wonderful to be dog friendly, so the whole family enjoys this beautiful place and all the beaches! However, first time visiting in Winter, the beds are so terribly uncomfortable, we rotated in hope some may be better than others…sadly not…we all came away with bad backs..so far from ideal after paying a pricey sum of a New Years Break, one we booked after my Mums recent illness! The garden also really needs an outside

  • "Property was lovely, spacious, comfortable and well equipped."

    Location was great too, ample parking and close to local amenities. Although the shower was good, the main bathroom needs modernising. The mattresses were also too soft. We could easily come back and stay!

  • "The house was very nice and welcoming."

    We enjoyed the garden and the well appointed kitchen. It was great to find enough kitchen tools and pans etc as well as a few tablets for the dishwasher. The bedrooms were light and airy. Thanks for having us! The only negative was the requirement that we had left the house by nine (having only been allowed in from four). This early check out felt a bit unnecessary, adding an unwelcome element of hurry to our departure. Even an extra half hour would have been appreciated! Nonetheless the house and our stay was delightful.

  • "Very very good, Well presented, lots of space , very comfortable, lovely Garden ..."

  • "We have just returned from a wonderful weeks' stay at Samphire."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Samphire."

    Everything was great, spotlessly clean and the facilities were all of a good standard. Bed was so comfy, the best we’ve had in a holiday home, and loved the cotton bedding. Lovely sunny garden too. The only comment is lack of sockets in the house and also perhaps a shelf in the shower would be helpful. Many thanks, will rebook next year.

  • "Lovely house."

    We have re-booked for next year. Three requests: 1) Fix locks in toilets. 2) WD-40 on door hinges. 3) Some rugs, curtains or other soft furnishings to reduce the echo.

  • "Good feedback: Great location."

    Extremely close to all local shops and close to all beaches. We enjoyed walking from the property to Rock and surrounding area. Very clean on arrival. Lounge room area very comfortable and very cosy with nice sofa. Dining area ie table and chairs were of good standard and sofa was a nice touch. Plenty of kitchen utensils and cooking pans etc. Feedback: Small shower room needs updating and not 5 star standard. Tiles and sink were tired and a touch old fashioned. Bit of mould in the corner above the shower head needs attention. Shower riser was not working correctly and could not be moved without the riser mechanism popping out. Larger bathroom was also a bit tired and also not really 5 star. Kitchen tiles have been painted over and some of the light fittings look old and have been painted over…not an ideal finish again for 5 star rated house. Both bathrooms need hooks to hang things on. Bedroom hooks on the doors keep falling off as adhesive has worn. An outside tap could be useful to wash down boards and wetsuits providing there’s a pipe that can be utilised from back or side. Back porch and internal door look tired. Bedrooms comfortable, tidy with good storage, 5 star…probably not for the bedrooms.

Samphire is a spacious, detached bungalow located just around the corner from the amenities of Rock village, on the striking North Cornwall coast.

Set over a single storey, this welcoming abode has been presented to an excellent standard, ideal for families and groups of friends wanting to explore the countryside and coastal sights of Cornwall.

After a day of exploring, look forward to unwinding with the spacious sitting room, featuring a sumptuous corner sofa, woodburning stove and TV, so you are well-equipped for a relaxing night in.

Carry the conversation into the kitchen/diner, a contemporary space where the designated chef can impress with a home-cooked feast, utilising a double oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher.

Gather round the dining table or take the evening outside and dine alfresco style on the patio furniture, with a spacious lawned area on offer, where your pooch can stretch their legs.

Padstow 1.5 miles via ferry; Polzeath 2.8 miles; Wadebridge 6.2 miles.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country.
