The property

This splendid Grade II listed Georgian cottage oozes style just moments from Pentewan Sands near St Austell.

Sea Cliff Cottage is a year-round favourite, with woodburning stove and a series of terraced gardens that are well equipped for sunset dinners or drinks.

The four bedrooms are spread across the two floors with bunk beds in the ground floor bedroom and a king-size, a twin and a single bedroom all found upstairs.

There is a spacious dining room adjacent to the smart kitchen, with an impressively styled sitting room all decorated in classic French hues.

Outside space is not a problem at Sea Cliff Cottage, with a front terrace offering dining with a large gas BBQ and a pretty green rural outlook.

In addition, from the first floor there is access to the three tiered terraced garden at the rear.

On the first tier you will find an outdoor kitchen with coal barbecue and outdoor cool box.

There is dining on this level for eight.

A few steps will take you up to the sunbathing tier where you will find sun loungers for bathing or comfortable seating options for relaxing.

Nearby Pentewan Beach is a large expanse of golden sand with excellent conditions for kayaking, water skiing or just an afternoon dip.

You can access the beach by turning left out of the cottage and following the path down to the beach.

To sample some true Cornish harbours and inlets, travel a short distance to atmospheric Charlestown or slightly further to popular Mevagissey.

Sea Cliff Cottage is bound to appeal to visitors looking for a boutique style retreat in Cornwall's Riviera on the South coast.

About the location

St Austell 4 miles; Mevagissey 2 miles.

Pentewan is a delightful coastal village set back from the sandy expanse of Pentewan Beach. The village shop and pub draw visitors from far and wide, while the beach is good for children. The coastal path passes through the village and as it climbs up the cliffside towards Mevagissey, the views across the bay toward Devon in the far distance are breathtaking. Good cycle paths pass close by the village, there is a great river close by for fishing enthusiasts, the Lost Gardens of Heligan are just a short walk away, and the historic and scenic Charlestown harbour is also close by. The nearby fishing village of Mevagissey offers many restaurants and fresh harbour fish, while the Eden Project is within easy reach and well worth a visit.
