  • "Curlew Lodge is a little hidden gem in a great location in Newquay."

    The Lodge is spotless and maintained to a very high standard. We had everything we needed. Frank and Carmela are extremely helpful and full of lots of great advice about the local area. We had a wonderful stay and made lots of happy memories. The location is perfect for walking to the beach and to the town centre. Great for evening walks to see the sunset over the ocean. Lots of fun activities for children within easy reach and a cosy, peaceful place to rest at the end of a busy day. Highly recommend.

  • "We had a fantastic stay!"

    The location relative to Fistral Beach is completely unrivalled—exactly what we were hoping for. The property was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, with easy parking and all the amenities we needed. Our daughter especially loved the lovely welcome basket filled with local treats! Aside from the morning seagulls (part of the seaside charm!), it was a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place to stay. For future guests, it’s worth noting that the accommodation is an annexe in the owner’s garden rather than a standalone property. To help make future stays even better, there were just a few minor things we noticed: the main double mattress was quite firm, the floorboards were fairly squeaky when moving around at night, and the ensuite tap took us a moment to figure out, as hot water only came through at full pressure (which tended to splash the wall). Additionally, the mirrors were placed a bit awkwardly for tasks like brushing teeth. Overall, these were small details in what was a really wonderful holiday. Thank you for a great stay—we’d happily recommend it!

    The premises are set in a quiet residential area and are very clean and comfortable, equipped with everything you may need to make your stay perfect. It is situated a short walk from Fistral beach and an easy walk into Newquay town. I am sure we will be returning.

  • "Curlew Lodge was absolutely fantastic, it has everything you could possibly need and really felt like a home away from home."

    The hosts were brilliant with lots of information and such a friendly approach. There is clear attention to detail and the Lodge was spotless. The kitchen is so well equipped and the living space has a massive TV and log burner which would have been great in winter. The upstairs master bed was too firm for our preference but the downstairs twin bed were soo comfortable. I have already started recommending those place to family and friends. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!!

  • "Frank and Carmella have the perfect home from home holiday lodge and more."

    They are very discreet but there if you need to know anything. Set in a quiet and extremely secure location with parking for one vehicle outside the property. This lodge is immaculate with everything you need. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. What you see in the photos is exactly what you get. Upstairs bedroom has lots of drawers for storage with hangers for shirts, blouses, dresses etc and a toilet and sink en suite. Lovely double bed and sky lights which open along with blinds for night. Downstairs bedroom has 2 single beds with drawers under the bed plus a set of wooden drawers and hangers for shirts, blouses etc to hang up. A smaller set of drawers in between the 2 beds. Downstairs has a toilet, sink and shower. Kitchen has an air fryer

    Our stay at Curlew Lodge was wonderful. Beautiful accommodation modern, cosy, very clean and a welcome pack was waiting for us in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable so slept well every night, it was home from home. Our hosts Frank and Carmella were lovely, very hospitable and recommended places for us to visit. Thank you so much Frank and Carmella, we would love to come back in 2025. Would fully recommend Curlew Lodge. Definitely worth 5 stars. From Christine and Denise xx

It is situated in the heart of Newquay and a wide choice of other places in Cornwall are easily accessible. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and would love to visit again.

  • "The quiet location near the beach Fistral ist perfect for a family with two Teenagers."

    The holiday home was very clean und lovingly funished. Everything you needed was there, even dischwashing liquid and soap at all skins. Our hosts gave us a warm welcome and were very friendly and helpful in everything. The service with freh towels and bed linen was great. We were still able to enjoy the beach and the waves. The beach is incredibly beautiful fpr surfiing and walking along the coast is beautiful. Our first holiday in Cornwall was very relaxing thanks to the Curlew Lodge.

  • "A beautiful and really comfortable property, 10 minutes walk from the beach."

    We had a fantastic week here with the children and feel really lucky we chose to stay here. Owners were great and made sure we had everything we needed, the property is very well kitted out which made our stay very easy. We hope to be back next summer!

  • "Stayed for a week in July 2024 with 2 late teen kids."

    (Family of 4) House was lovely and clean in a nice quiet safe area with off street parking on site. Everything you need inside with a nice smart TV, good WiFi and really comfy beds. Nice short 4 minute walk to Fistral Beach, 20 mins walk to centre of town. The owners live on site next door and we're very pleasant and discreet. We had no issues. Would definitely recommend this property.

Newquay is the home of the UK’s surf scene, boasting eleven beaches and over seven miles of golden sand, three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a beachlovers and watersports paradise. The town, with its zoo, sea life centre and varied selection of restaurants and pubs, also promises a holiday to remember. For avid walkers, the South West Coast Path passes in both directions along a stunning coastline of high cliffs, hidden coves and yet more beaches. The quaint harbour and fishing village of Padstow is just 14 miles away, while Truro, with its museums, cathedral, restaurants, and cobbled streets, as well as the Eden Project, can be reached within a short drive. Picturesque St Ives and the Tate St Ives gallery is just a train ride away. In fact, because nothing in Cornwall is far from Newquay, it’s the perfect touring base.
