  • "Really good value for money ."

Very spacious accommodation. The settee was comfortable ! Previous reviews were negative about the furniture .My biggest problem was not being familiar with induction hobs and a modern oven . Could the freezer be defrosted. Left a note in the visitor book !

  • "When we walked in we had the 'wow' moment, the view from the open plan room is divine, it took us a while to stop smiling."

The layout is great for a family with the two bathrooms and communal living space. We used the kitchen every evening for a meal and everything was there that we needed and more. The beds are comfortable and the water hot for a shower. The room temperature was warm so when we got back from a windswept day out we warmed up very nicely. Enough storage, not too much noise from upstairs, great to have a parking space, I would buy this apartment we liked it so much. Didn't get Time.to try the Seaspray beach cafe - gutted, we will have to come back :))

The position of the flat is perfect for access to the beach and cliff top walks. All in all a great holiday with every comfort provided in the flat - highly recommended.

  • "This is a really lovely apartment, very clean and well appointed."

The location is excellent and the views are magnificent. We would stay here again without hesitation if it were not for the really uncomfortable sofa, dining and balcony chairs. To sink into a comfy chair or sofa at the end of a busy beach day or after a long walk would have made the apartment perfect.

My husband and teenage daughters along with myself were so happy when we arrived and it was every bit (and more) than we were hoping it would be. Definitely want to stay again, so pleased we were lucky enough to stay here x

Stunning apartment with amazing views of Fistral beach. Excellent facilities everything thought of, really clean and well presented. Lots of nice touches the Sonos sound system and Alexa. Great to have a dedicated covered parking space with secure access to the building. Very easy to explore the local area, Fistral beach a few minutes walk and the coastal path close by giving access to Newquay and the Pentire Headland. We are missing that fabulous view and would definitely return.

Excellent facilities, really clean, great to have our own parking space, easy access to fistral beach and enjoyed walk into town. Will definitely be using Sykes holiday cottages again.

  • "There was a ‘ cleaning issue’ on arrival date which meant we didn’t get into the flat till 5pm."

Also, there was very little info on appliances so a basic guide booklet would have been useful Apart from this, very enjoyable holiday

  • "Lovely place to stay with a beautiful sea view."

Easy to walk to town, beaches, pubs and restaurants as well as accessing the coastal path. The flat has all of the essentials for a holiday and we were even greeted with scones, jam and cream on our arrival - delicious.

  • "Absolute fantastic holiday apartment."

Great location and stunning views! Every thing you could ever need and more when you are away. So many good points its hard to think where to start! Washing machine was a godsend. Kitchen had every item we could wish for, on the couple of evenings when we stayed in and cooked. Great showers - plenty of hot water at all times of the day. Nice touch of the PS3 and games & huge selection of DVD's should the weather turn rubbish. Fistral beach is 5mins walk from the apartment and if you follow the coast path along its length, you'll find three great places to eat and drink! Large covered parking space for your car with secure access straight into the building and an internal lift that will get you up to the apartment if you don't fancy the stairs. Overall a great modern, clean and beautiful presented apartment - kudos to the owners! I honestly doubt you'd find a better place to stay!

  • "A lovely, modern, clean, well-equipped, comfortable apartment with sensational views of Fistral Beach."

I have a few suggestions though. A week's supply of toilet paper should have been left in the cupboard, not just one roll in each bathroom, considering the price we are paying to stay there, in a hotel, loo paper is always resupplied. One of the loo seats had not been properly cleaned, I guess that was just an oversight as the rest of the flat was nearly spotless. The flat really could do with better balcony furniture, like a rattan style set, a proper table and four comfortable chairs (as it is accommodation for four) so that the outdoor space could be enjoyed more, especially in the summer. The current plastic table and two red chairs on the balcony look unsightly and spoil the view. It would also be nice if the balcony glass panels were cleaned before our arrival so we would have a clear view of the beach. We did not find the flat particularly drafty, (we had a cold NW gale blowing), the doors have to be shut fully tight, otherwise the wind will get in, actually we found the flat can get too warm!

  • "The photograph must have been taken with a very good zoom camera very deceptive."

Apartment was very clean but a sterile feeling and not for us I am afraid. Large windows in the lounge are draughty and a couple of nights we went to bed by 8.30 to keep warm. If I had have known how cold it was I would have taken throws. I appreciate it was October but I do feel the windows need attention.

  • "I had to contact helpful holidays to find out when balance was due."

For some reason I didn’t get an email. It may be an idea to make sure a later reminder goes out as this used to be the case by paper. The apartment was in an excellent location. It’s main asset is the location and the amazing view. Well furnished but would benefit from a hairdryer being provided which is standard in most holiday let’s. Lovely gesture was the cream tea provided.

The property

Seascape is an immaculate, modern, second-floor apartment situated in Newquay, a minutes stroll from Fistral Beach, with stunning sea views across it and the headland.

Fabulous for families or couples.

There is lift access from the parking bay and an outdoor shower for rinsing after a surf and cleaning sandy toes.

It's just a three minute walk from the cliff access to Crantock beach and the Gannel estuary, which is accessible at low tide.

You can use the lift or the stairway to your front door which opens to an entrance hall and through to the open-plan living-dining room and kitchen area which is dominated by those views, then step through the full-length glazed doors to the balcony – wow.

There are two bedrooms – a king-size double with TV and en suite shower-room, and a twin with TV; also a family bathroom.

Large balcony with bistro table and chairs for alfresco dining and the glorious views.

A superb apartment with amazing views, just right for water sports and coastal walking.

There is so much to do and see in this lively town, and nearby there is Watergate Bay and its famous Jamie Oliver restaurant, good Golf and National Trust Trerice House to visit.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
