The Loft at Beach House

On arrival we met the owner Adam who was very helpful and on holiday in his other flat.

The flat itself was lovely. Cream tea on arrival was a welcome surprise after a very long journey. Kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. The location was just perfect for our four night break. Would we go back? Most definitely would love to go back one day! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Perfect little apartment, a rare find in Portmellon.

We stayed with our two children and had the best time, we absolutely love Portmellon - great pub, gorgeous cove, amazing coffee at the shack! Incredible views from the apartment even spotted a minke whale.

Fantastic location with awesome views, it was our first time at the Loft and will definitely return!

We loved The Loft at Beach House.

The location was great, within walkable distance to beautiful Mevagissey, from which you can get a ferry to character-full Fowey. We visited around the area and beyond from there, having a wonderful time. The view from the front windows is stunning. We loved sitting at the dining table and looking out onto the bay, where many people would swim throughout the day, inspiring us to do the same. The apartment has everything you need for your stay, the beds are very comfortable and the welcome scones with jam and clotted cream were very much appreciated. We even met the owner who is very friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying at the Loft again in the future and highly recommend it.

As regular visitors to Portmellon we know the area well, but The Loft gave us a totally different perspective, particularly as the weather meant that outdoor activities weren't always possible.

The Loft is clean, well appointed, comfortable and offers amazing views of the bay. It's an ideal base for exploring the local area and is very close to the impressive local pub.

Great property to stay in.

Fantastic views over the bay towards Fowey. The local beach is nice and sandy. Great for kids to play on. Although it does get covered at high tide. The local pub is well worth a visit. Does great Sunday roasts. And all there are super friendly. A short walk into Mevagissey for shops and restaurants. I've stayed in this property many times, and will surely be staying there again.

Brilliant find!

'The Loft' offers a prime location in Portmellon bay with immediate access to the beach and only a short walk to Mevagissey harbour. The views were unbeatable and we often found ourselves watching the sea with our morning cuppa! The property is well equipped, very clean and had the bonus of a bath and washing machine which can often be difficult to find when booking holidays. All of the beds were very comfortable and our children slept like logs! We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and are already looking to book our next holiday at 'The Loft' Definitely recommend this home from home ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The location afforded fabulous views over the bay and the place grew on us during our stay. Would return there with no hesitation.

Fantastic location, clean & tidy , most enjoyable stay, will be back!

We had a lovely week at Portmellon, the view from the property was out of this world and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the apartment looking out of the window.

As a keen swimmer, the bay was safe to swim in daily and we had some lovely walks around the area. The apartment was perfectly located for the kids to play on the beach whenever they liked and the friendly neighbour lent us his binoculars so that we could watch the seals in the bay.

We have loved our stay here in the Loft, what a hidden gem!

So relaxing with the most amazing view and the sound of the waves constantly, what more would you want. The local pub is very friendly and lovely food there. The Shack next to it was so convenient, lovely pasties and hot chocolate. We've already booked for next year! P.S Lovely coastal walks, up the hill to the right.

The Loft was lovely, great accommodation and a fabulous view of the sea.

We were able to walk into Mevagissey for meals and get to other places easily. The cream tea welcome package was so thoughtful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

WE HAD A GREAT STAY AT THE LOFT.

The apartment was cozy, confortable and the view from the house is fantastic. everithing was ok during our stay. Thanks for help us with the wi.-fi system. We love Port Mellon, a little hidden jem in Cornwall

Such a lovely spot, I absolutly recommend it.

Everything was fine, we had no problems at all.

We absolutely loved our stay at the loft, the views were amazing, we were seconds from the beach for paddle boarding and everything was so clean and comfortable.

Only slight problem was the bottom sheet and mattress protector kept coming off the bed every night no matter how tight we put it back on, which made sleep a bit uncomfortable. Would also love a couple of armchairs so that kids could watch tv with us.

Basic but good enough for a weeks stay

Bright, clean and compact apartment with a stunning view of the ocean.

Beds were comfortable and rooms were warm. Probably a little too small with 2 teenage children but ok for a couple of nights.

We loved the location.

The property was equipped with what we needed although furniture was functional rather than comfortable. We were disappointed not only that the room temperature was only 10 degrees when we arrived but that there was no way of controlling the heating. The owner said we just had to hope it would click on eventually. Some days it did and some not at all. No consistency of timings. It would have been good to have some recycling opportunity, and it would have been helpful if the listing had indicated the presence of a freezer.

! What can we say - stunning views, warm and cosy, bed so comfy. Beautiful little Cornish village with such lovely local people. What a little gem you are.

Weather has been great and we have enjoyed the views from the dining table. The flat is well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Thank you for the Cornish welcome pack. The locals are very friendly and helpful. Recommend a trip to Fowey on the ferry, walk to Chapel Point and the pasties are excellent from The Shack.

This was our second stay at The Loft.

We will definitely be returning next year. The views looking over the bay are fantastic. Saw a seal! Had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Adam. He clearly has a passion for this flat and took our comments very seriously. He also owns the flat below, "The Beach House" which he showed us. It is very tastefully decorated. Adam clearly has his guests comfort at heart. Locally we recommend "Lobbs Farm Shop" near the Lost Gardens of Heligan for supplies. Apart from the walks along the sea there are some nice public footpaths behind the flat which takes you inland. Next time we will bring binoculars. FIVE STARS

We have had a very comfortable stay.

Great sea view! Love Portmellon and would recommend our accommodation. A long mirror in the bathroom would be good. Fab food at the Rising Sun! and the Barley Sheaf in Goran.

My second stay, with a different friend this time.

Only a short break but have had the best time. Got chatting to various other people holidaying locally (also a few of the locals) everyday. Lovely to sit outside and the lady staying below gave us Pimm's with all the trimmings. Enjoyed a couple of dips in the sea. Lovely meal at the Ship Inn, Mevagissey and wonderful views walking over. There is always something to see here. I couldn't wait to get back to the comfy bed from which you can see and hear the sea. Although sunny on the last day, a huge wind whipped up and threw huge waves and seaweed over the road, quite a spectacle. Had a small issue with no hot water but Adam (owner) was very helpful and quickly dispatched two very pleasant plumbers to get it sorted. I will be back again as soon as possible.

Everything was perfect for a relaxing stay. The location is stunning and people are so friendly. We were given several recommendations, all of which were spot on. The Barley Sheaf for Sunday lunch was delicious. The dolphins and seals were a treat to see. Our week flew by way too quickly. Thank you for the welcome pack. xx

What a beautiful view!

Lovely, cosy apartment in a gorgeous location. We've loved watching the sea, swimmers and even spotted a seal. Trips on the ferry to Fowey, a drive to St Ives and Marazion. Plus the Lost Gardens of Heligan were great. Lovely meal in the Rising Sun pub + great coffee at The Shack. Thank you.
