  • "Ground floor smelt like mould and drains."

    Half the windows do not have any coverings including those at street level and those that do don’t fit well or block light. 2 toilet rolls left for 4 days. No free WiFi. No guide left to tell you any rules or how to use anything. Bird poo all over windows spoiling lovely view. Listing seems purposefully vague about parking. Simple things could really improve experience. Positive was a good location for port, restaurant and shops access.

    Sorry to hear that you found problems with your stay. However, the property does have free WiFi and a welcome booklet on site to familiarize you with the property and the surrounding area. The property is self catering meaning that food and toiletries are self supplied. The listing is clear that the property does not have parking and advises on where the nearest car lark is for your stay, Mevagissey is a historic fishing port and very few of the cottages have parking. Unfortunately we are generally unable to control where Seagulls might poo during your stay but in future we will ask them nicely if they could avoid inconveniencing you by spoiling your view.   • "We loved the cottage, right in the centre of town and all the equipment we needed."

    All the kitchen equipment was very clean, lots of it, and lots of cupboard space for our food too. The view from the top bedroom was amazing, the beds and bathrooms were great. The whole place seemed like it had just been done up - seemed to be mostly new equipment and furniture which was lovely, and the cream tea provided on arrival was very much appreciated!

St. Austell 5.5 miles; Truro 16 miles.

The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September. Spend some time at the Tall Ships harbour at Charlestown (7 miles) with its shipwreck museum, or among the tropical biomes of the world-famous Eden Project (11 miles). The stunning coastline, fabulous beaches and renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula are a short drive down the coast while Truro, with its shops, restaurants, theatre and cathedral can be reached by car in half an hour.
