Jubilee cottage is a perfect place for exploring.

Stunning views towards St Michael's Mount and the sea. Very well equipped kitchen and there were books and games too. Very comfy beds, and the upside down living absolutely works! Definitely recommend and would book to stay here again.

Warm, clean and spacious with views out towards St Michael’s Mount, it is an ideal base to visit Cornwall.

It has the bonus of lots of minutes away roadside parking. We would definitely recommend it to our friends.

Due to illness we arrived two days later than expected.

The property was clean and fresh. We were not disappointed in the property in any way and would definitely stay there again. The only disappointment was the extensive roadworks that was taking place near by resulting in road closures. Parking was extremely difficult which caused us some difficulty regarding my wife’s frailty du to her recent illness. None of this was the fault of the property and would not put us off staying again once the roads are reopened.

this is our second stay at Jubilee Cottage, and it was perfect like first time, we came by train so was handy as it's near train station, and bus stop's almost outside house, had a great stay view's from window are good, weather not too good rain and wind, but still had a good stay, perfect house, we will be back next year, the milk and biscuits were a lovely touch, thankyou.

Had another great stay at my favourite cottage.

The views are amazing. I am a little worried that all the new building works across the car park are going to spoil the existing ambience and create a greater difficulty in parking .

Take care on steep narrow steps.

Couldn't follow refuse instructions but this was no problem.

Parking for this property is not easy and is becoming worse with the new development opposite.

The half a dozen free spaces on the street outside seem to be filled permanently with vans and other vehicles, but will soon become time limited spaces anyway. I found it easiest to buy a week's pass for the Harbour car park for about £26, which is about a 10 minute walk away. Easy for general use, but not for loading/unloading, but there was room on yellow lines outside for this.

A lovely property to stay in.

Would have liked to be able to open a bedroom window, even if only a small amount. Also, although there were lots of cleaning products, it would have been appreciated if some washing up liquid and a few washing machine tablets had been provided. Why no recycling?

Well placed within Penzance with extensive views.

Parking outside or nearby was a real bonus as it is in such short supply in the town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Had another lovely stay at the cottage one of my favourite places to be.

Small points which need addressing, Shower head loose and falls down and twin room blind is damaged and needs replacing.

Very well positioned and clean cottage with all of the necessary essentials for a very enjoyable stay!

Fabulous property, amazing views, very central for trains and buses, we parked the car right outside the property and did not use it again until we left.

A must do, trip on the open top bus around the coast. Also, if you can afford it (quite pricey) a helicopter trip to the Isle of Scilly, amazing views

only one thing to complain about and that was the toilet seat it was loose i tightened it but it came loose every day, very bad design, as my husband is disabled it did worry us a bit,and i ruined a new top on taking the bin out, but the rest of the cottage was lovely everything you could need, view was great we don't have a car but it was near bus stop and train station , and plenty of places to eat, as long as toilet seat is sorted we will be back next year still a lot more to see, and the weather was good.

Lovely cottage with beautiful views , the furnishings were comfortable and of a high standard the kitchen was equipped with all the cooking items you needed for self catering .

The location was ideal close enough to use public transport.

We really enjoyed Jubilee Cottage and its superb location just opposite the seafront and Jubilee pool.

We found it very comfortable for 4 adults. However, our only problem was that the WI-Fi connection was very slow and intermittent, which was frustrating at times. We were struggling with it so we contacted the property manager for help (via text) on two occasions but we never received a response - not very helpful at all. Despite this issue we would still recommend this property.

Great location, fantastic view looking out to Jubilee pool and St Michael's mount.

The upside down living in Jubilee Cottage is a bit different, hence having the great views from the lounge windows. We would stay again. Just a couple of things, these being that, as you do enter the property it does smell like wet dog, very musty smelling. this maybe because the downstairs windows don't get opened very often. Also, thank you for the milk in fridge, but the fridge wasn't on and the door open (with the tea towel still catching the defrosting water), so the milk was not cold. Last point, man working from home in the house behind chatting and looking down at us from his work station into the rear lounge window, maybe some blinds would help the feeling of not being watched. Thanks again for a great stay though.

We loved jubilee cottage.

The views were fantastic and it’s in a perfect location, so convenient for the railway and bus station as well as everything else Penzance has to offer, which is a great deal. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need we felt comfortable and could really relax. Our only minus point was the duvet on the bed which was a heavy winter one and far too hot in September and very musty smells in the drawers and wardrobes downstairs. However the shower was great and we would definitely return

This was our second stay this year as we love the views and the location,my favourite holiday destination.

We will be back next year. We did notice that the smell of damp was quite strong down stairs and left the wardrobe doors open due to the musty smell.

Jubilee Cottage in Penzance was great, really conveniently located for us to get the bus, mainly the Lands End Coaster, every day to go back to where we had left the South West Coast Path the day before and continue our walk, this time from St Ives to Penzance.

Despite being at the junction of two roads and the seafront, the cottage was very quiet and peaceful and convenient for buying food everyday in the town centre. It was very clean and well equipped. For four people, the one bathroom might make leaving in the morning a bit slow but this didn't bother us. Our only comment is that we didn't see the noticeboard in the kitchen until we were packing up to leave (it is behind you and you don't turn round in the kitchen as it is quite small with no units on the rear wall). This was the only place that told us about the rubbish disposal. Outside, in the back passage, we found the wheelie bin was full and two other bags had been left on the ground, presumably by previous occupants. The noticeboard said not to take the bin through the house, but the passageway through the next door neighbour's house was blocked by her with three road traffic cones. I think the owners need to be aware of this problem. We also managed to recycle lots of stuff in the large red and white communal bins in the neighbouring streets. We discovered the Navy Inn just off the seafront towards Newlyn and loved it for its friendly atmosphere and good food. We also had a good meal at The Dolphin, which, unusually, has a fabulous page of vegetarian options. If you stay at Jubilee Cottage look out for the wonderful flags hanging from buildings in all the streets. What a great town!!

Great little cottage but could have been cleaner.

The bathroom was dusty and there was toothpaste splashes on the window, but other than that we really like the location, the process for booking, payment and key collection was straight forward and the parking was a bit of a lottery but we always found somewhere close to the cottage to park. Overall we would recommend Sykes and the cottage too.

Note the next door neighbour doesn't like the bin access via her back yard.

Lots to see from window of life in Penzance .

We found the cottage a very homely place with good views of the seafront and within walking distance of the shops.

It was quiet even though we were near the road. We would definitely recommend it to our friends.

Comfortable, spacious, well equipped, clean, good location. Stair-rail a little tricky, and a second key would have been nice. Otherwise, perfect!

No recycling facilities are provided however which was disappointing. A second key would have been appreciated so that one person did not have be locked in.

A lovely comfortable cottage perfectly situated just off Penzance promenade.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and sofas. I have stayed here several times and it has suited my needs perfectly.

The property itself is in a perfect location.

It is very spacious and very well equipped. However, on arrival we were greeted by a damp smell which turned out to be the main bedrooms bedding. It must been made whilst not dried properly. It was bad enough that we had to wash it before using the bed. On further inspection, the kitchen cupboards smelt fausty like ithey needed to be emptied and cleaned to freshen up. My partner suffers from dust allergies and suffered as a result of dust coming from the radiator fins which were clogged up with dust and cobwebs. On the whole if the property had a deep clean it would be beneficial and would improve the standard.

Top of wardrobe and head board, skirting boards and stair rails, top of picture frames very dusty.

Not good for people like my self that suffers from Asthma. Under sofa cushion was full of crumbs when I looked for tv remote. Deep cleaning should be done before every lease.

Slightly unusual sleeping arrangements downstairs are more than outweighed by the comfort and views from the upstairs main room.

Better blinds in bedroom would be better as the present blinds let in loads of light and make it difficult to sleep.

Needs decent blackout curtains. ( We stayed here a few years ago and pointed this out then) Otherwise it's a lovely comfortable cottage to stay in. Milk and biscuits were very welcome. Thanks

Perfectly situated for everything in Penzance. Parking a challenge but doable (the trick is to park after 5pm when the pool closes)

Lovely well equipped cottage with amazing views and close proximity to our favourite pubs, The Dock for Spingo Ale and good food, and The Dolphin for good food!

Great location.

Comfortable, well equipped upside down cottage with superb views of St Michael's Mount, the Jubilee Lido and not forgetting the sea and the prom. Very impressed with Linda who dealt with the warped back gate promptly. However, I was surprised that there were no facilities for recycling. The cottage has easy access to the town, train and bus stations. We found the buses very reliable. This enabled us to do point to point coastal walks. Our favourite walk was from Porthleven to Helston along the coastal path and river. We travelled by bus to the start and returned by bus from Helston. ( We did have a slight problem getting the oven to the correct temperature. We only used it once.) We really enjoyed our holiday at Jubilee Cottage. I felt that I had come home, as I was born in Penzance.

The place was spotlessly clean, we were met with biscuits, fresh milk and flowers. It was a really cosy house, lovely and warm. The bed was really comfortable as was the upstairs seating area. It is perfectly located with stunning views. To be able to sit there each morning, feet up, watching the sun come up over St Michaels Mount, the wild water swimmers and the Scillonian and fishing boats coming and going was lovely. Couldn’t recommend Jubilee Cottage highly enough and we hope to be able to come back one day.

We had a fantastic week in Penzance.

The cottage was bright, spacious and well equipped in an excellent position on the seafront with incredible views out to St Michael’s Mount. Easy access to buses, ferry to Isles of Scilly and trains. A great base to explore southern Cornwall. Managed to park outside the cottage despite being the Tour of Britain weekend and then used public transport which I would advise anyway. We are thinking of booking next year as we didn’t manage to see all we wanted! Good excuse to return.

I had a lovely relaxing holiday, comfortable cottage, beautiful views, lovely sunny weather.

Very comfortable house with lovely views,would recommend.

Only negative is sometimes parking close to the property can be difficult.

If anything the property is understated, it has been beautifully refurbished and the internal fittings and fixtures are top quality.

The beds and linen were super comfortable and the whole place was spotless. The view across over the bay is lovely from the two large front windows and all facilities of the town are just minutes walk away. To sum up the let way exceeded even my optimistic hopes, it was superb.

We had a great trip to Cornwall and our stay at Jubilee Cottage in Penzance was great.

The cottage had a lovely view of the sea - you could see the Jubilee pool and St Michael's Mount. It was a great location to easily walk to shops and restaurants. Penzance was also a great location for exploring the rest of Cornwall. The was very comfortable for a small family and had everything we needed. Keep in mind that the bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs while the kitchen/living/dining are upstairs. Would definitely recommend!

Jubilee cottage was perfect: great views, great location, great house. We loved the upstairs lounge. We could have done with more information about parking - it wasn’t always as easy as the description made it sound. Booking was straightforward and we felt we got good value for money. Great Location: The Lounge/diner was big, bright and modern with the views promised.

Milk in the fridge, tea bags in the jar and loo roll in the bathroom; all very much appreciated after a long train journey.

Fabulous views of the sea and st Michaels mount. Spotlessly clean. Very well equipped. Flowers on the table upon arrival was a lovely touch and milk in the fridge. Highly recommended Would love to stay again Thanks.

Overall a very good base for an enjoyable Cornish holiday; however our first two night were spoilt by the bands and DJs playing loud music till one thirty in the morning in the carpark space directly outside the cottage.

I would recommend people to research when the Golowan festival is scheduled next summer and try to avoid if possible, as the bands were put on as part of this major annual event in Penzance.

over all very clean and well equipped cottage, couple of issues were the hob and oven are gas not electric as is advertised on the sykes website also there was a very tiny fridge which is not suitable for families.

Lovely, comfortable cottage.

Well equipped, warm and quiet, with lovely views out over Mounts Bay. Comfortable beds and chairs. Everything we were looking for and we will probably be back to stay again.

Cottage was very homely and had everything that you needed

There was a major damp problem on the main wall of the sitting room, no smell but very unsightly.

The cottage was in a great location with stunning views across the sea.

Furnished to a high standard and very comfy. There was everything you needed in the kitchen if you wanted to eat in and also many pubs and other eateries near by. Only thing I can moan about is that it needs a new iron and ironing board, everything else was fantastic. We had a wonderful time.

Jubilee Cottage was a lovely place to stay in.

It was clean and comfortable and was well equipped. The location was perfect with just a short walk into town and to various eating establishments. We would definitely stay here again.

Great views, close to to pubs and amenities.

Spotlessly clean, and, for those who self cater a lot....the knives are actually sharp!! The only downsides were parking, and (could be seen as a bonus) no WiFi. All in all a great stay, would definitely recommend!
