  • "My first words when entering the The Barn was “wow”."

Stunning and the decor was right up our street. It was all done to a high spec. It was myself, husband and three-year-old son stayed here for a week. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners Sharon & Dave. We had requested a stair gate to be fitted to keep our little munchkin safe during night wandering! Dave fitted it for us the night we arrived which was much appreciated. We had some little welcome goodies of milk, eggs and homemade lemon cake, which was greatly received by all of us. It was a home from home space and our little one certainly made himself at home . Everything you need in the kitchen if not more than you need. It was excellent. The washing machine and dishwasher was a godsend also. The barn was super comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and beds were fantastic as I always dread going away and worrying about the mattress being uncomfortable. We have had some horrific ones in our time . But no problems here. Lovely little courtyard garden which was needed with a little one who wanted to be outside all the time. I was able to lock the gate and no he was safe. It is situated in a very quiet area, it is a single track road to and from cottage, supermarkets were about 20 minutes drive away. But Coverack itself was a lovely little village and was a short distance down a very steep hill, We only visited it once whilst we were waiting for our cottage to be ready, we had a walk on the beach. But it has a little shop which we found was quite expensive,Fish and chip shop and pub. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay we use the barn as our base but visited many of the well known attractions such as Lands end, penzance, Marazion, Saint Ives, Newquay, Healys cyder farm, Porthleven (fantastic fish & chip shop) Kynance cove we highly recommend, what a beautiful spot. Thank you so much to Sharon and Dave we hope to be back one day.

Thank you so much for you lovely review, it was a pleasure to have you stay and leaving the place as you found it. You managed to see lots of the area, even though the weather wasn't at its best. Hopefully see you another day. Sharon and Dave. Property Owner

Thank you very much for your feedback, we're so pleased to know you had a good holiday. Translated (using Google) this reads as: "We had a very nice stay at Chez Sharon and Dave. Their house has been carefully renovated. It is very comfortable, pretty and cozy. They were very attentive to us (heating offered, welcome with a delicious cake, eggs and milk...) Their house is a 15 minute walk from the village of Coverack which we loved. Superb atmosphere in this small port. Lots of walks to do (Coast path). We will definitely come back." Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely time at The Barn."

We were welcomed on arrival by the owner with milk, eggs from her chickens and a delicious home made cake. The Barn has been beautifully converted and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The patio area is a real bonus on sunny days and I imagine the wood burner would make it very cosy in the colder weather. The location is great - so peaceful and quiet, yet only a 15-20 minute walk to the beautiful fishing village of Coverack. We would most definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your great review of the Barn and so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again in the future. Sharon and Dave. Property Owner

Coverack is a small fishing village on the Lizard Peninsula, a few miles from Lizard Point in Cornwall, the most southerly point on mainland Britain. Coverack is a beautiful and peaceful place to escape the main tourist routes and offers a beach in the sheltered bay, which is ideal for swimming, windsurfing, and kayaking, as well as shops, pub, and restaurants. Further amenities lie in St Keverne, which has a post office, shops and 2 traditional pubs. The Lizard Peninsula has many spectacular coves and beaches and is noted for its rare geology and plants. From Lizard Point there are wonderful sea views from the windswept cliffs, which provide fabulous walking opportunities along this stretch of the South West Coast Path. Inland is the market town of Helston, known for its Flora Day Festival, and in Gweek is The Cornish Seal Sanctuary, whilst approximately ten miles away is the Culdrose Airfield, where once a year the public are welcome to come and meet the Fleet Air Arm, the Royal Navy’s flying force. Coverack is ideally located for exploring The Lizard Peninsula, as well as the lovely seaside towns of St Ives and Falmouth and many other beaches and pretty villages.
