  • "Very disappointed with our stay."

    We booked for a week but only stayed one night because of the sheer number of midges. They were everywhere — covering the outdoor seating area, the key lock box, my car, and even the kitchen worktops inside the lodge. It was impossible to let any fresh air into the lodge as all windows and doors had to remain closed to keep them out. This completely ruined our stay and made the accommodation unusable for us. As of yet, there has been no mention of any refund despite us having to leave early.

    We are very sorry you were not happy with the caravan. You only notified us about this situation once you had left, giving us big time to act upon the situation. We contacted the caravan park, who said they had no other complaints. The site also offered you 2 different caravans on the park, which you refused. We have had the caravan for 8 years and never had a complaint like this. Property Owner

  • "Very lovely place ,as so near to wildlife-swans ,bunny rabbits etc ,felt very relaxed and will definitely be booking to go again."

    Everything needed in the home also 5 mins away from the beach.There was only 1 thing I would say that needs a attention is quite a lot of cobwebs that needs spring clean off the lights and wind corners and perhaps deep clean lounge carpet . But over all was very happy and will book again

  • "Comfortable and clean with great location for peace and quiet."

    Spoilt with view and beach so near. Local information helpful. Just a couple of very small negatives : couple of nets clean but torn, spotlights over kitchen area not bright enough and dusty and dirty. Front door stiff to lock. Tv in bedroom not working at all. Batteries in some appliances needed replacing. None of the above took away from a lovely break away. Look forward to returning.

  • "Whilst the location s beautiful we felt the actual caravan let us down a bit."

    We have stayed on Par Sands a number of times, and have always been pleasantly surprised with the standard of the accommodation, cleanliness and overall condition of the vans, they have always felt like a home from home. Sadly Lake View 10 didn’t give us the same feeling. The sofa’s are so hard and uncomfortable and the mattress on the bed should have been replaced years ago as there are numerous unpleasant looking stains and it lacks any type of support. I didn’t use the hoover as it was left full of hair and dust from I assume previous rentals. The patio door was extremely difficult to close, and the extractor fan in the en-suite didn’t work, it had been covered over from the outside. Im not in the habit of leaving negative reviews but some of these issues had been mentioned before and maybe should have been fed back to the owners.

  • "An ideal location to explore Cornwall."

    Lake View 10 is in a lovely spot overlooking the lake, with the dog-friendly beach just a few minutes walk away. Par Sands Holiday Resort is quiet, clean & feels very safe & the on site facilities and staff are great. Improvements to be considered: Black out blinds in the bedrooms. Sofa was quite hard, due to hardwood under the seating. No signal on the TV in the bedroom, but this didn't bother us. Overall, Lake View 10 was great & I would recommend it to others.

  • "Our stay at Lake view 10 was amazing, I sat and watched the swans and ducks on the lake and we had visits in the evening from rabbits."

    The lodge was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We walked across to the beach for dog walks and the nature reserve is also within walking distance, ideally for dog owners like myself. I would highly recommend lake view to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

  • "The location and lodge is lovely, just some small issues we found."

    Outside light not working and it's really needed on the dark nights, assume just needs a new bulb! Blind in main bathroom needs replacing as slats damaged. When we first arrived small black hairs everywhere even the beds! Needs a more thorough clean between guests! Patio door out to the decking needs adjusting as hard to close. We also pushed the downpipe back on as it had dropped allowing water to flow from the guttering! Overall though had a lovely stay, location is lovely and peaceful just need these few niggles resolved!

  • "Key pad broken, outdoor down pipe broken causing water to fall on head, door sticks and needs replacing, out door light not working, all remote batteries dead and we had to replace, there were no replacement bulbs or batteries provided, the main wardrobe was full of bedding and could not use shelfs or floor, welcome pack of coffee and milk out of date, Front patio was filthy and we has to clean, both tv's did not work fully!"

  • "This holiday home is excellent along with extras not expected, like extra bedding and towels etc."

    If I had to be picky the double bed mattress feels ready to change along with the sofa seating. Other than that I score it overall a sound 4 stars . The owners should be happy and content with what they provide. Replace the trees and sofa seat filling would give it a full 5 star plus.

    Exactly as described. The weather was not good but it was still great to look out and see the lake and the wildfowl. We enjoyed that the beach was just a few minutes walk away. We had a couple of queries and the owners were very helpful.

  • "Luxury lodge on what must be the best position on the site overlooking the lake."

    The lodge is really comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. There is access to the dog friendly beach from the site and Par village is only a few minutes walk away. We would highly recommend.

  • "Shame that the lakeside view was more like bush view."

    As an avid bird watcher I was looking forward to views of the lake as shown on your website Unfortunately this was not the case I would recommend either new pictures or get the grounds team to keep them trimmed through out the year.

The property

This two-bedroom lodge sits within an exclusive area of the Par Sands Holiday Park in Cornwall, just a short walk from a year-round dog-friendly beach.

Well-equipped and affording idyllic lake views, Lake View 10 is a superb choice for four guests along with their canine companions.

Upon arrival you are greeted by off-road parking directly outside the lodge, allowing you to easily unload your belongings.

Step into the open-plan living space, uplifted by natural light throughout, housing an inviting corner sofa facing the wall-mounted TV and electric fire.

Cross the threshold into the kitchen, equipped with all the essentials for home-cooking, whilst the dining table provides the ideal spot to settle down and toast to a much-needed holiday.

At the back of the lodge are the bedrooms, including the master double with TV and en-suite basin and WC, along with a twin room.

Start the morning with a refreshing shower before preparing a light breakfast to be enjoyed on the decked furniture, complimented by charming views over the lake.

Wander around the park and discover a range of on-site facilities; take a splash in the pool, enjoy a round of tennis or mini golf, wander around the wildlife lake or let the little ones explore the play area.

Within a gentle stroll is the beach, a wide sandy bay that is backed by low dunes and is welcoming to dogs year-round!

The village offers a good selection of tasty eateries, including The Welcome Home Inn, The Par Inn and Sweets Grill, as well as a well-stocked convenience store.

Venture onto Fowey, where you can learn about local marine life at the Fowey Aquarium, catch a ferry over to Polruan or swim the waters of Readymoney Cove.

Nearby is the famous Eden Project, offering tropical biomes over several acres, plus the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Par village is located on the South Cornwall coast offering a sandy family and dog-friendly beach (dogs allowed all year round) on St. Austell Bay. The village is only 2.5 miles away from the internationally renowned Eden Project, which can be reached on foot through the leafy green Luxulyan Valley. Between Par and the picturesque harbour of Fowey, is the Gribbin Peninsula, which has magnificent views of the surrounding coastline and makes for an excellent walk. Close to Par are many places connected to the author Daphne du Maurier, including the small cove at Polkerris which boasts the Rashleigh Arms and which takes its name from a local landowner whose house was frequented by the author. There are many attractions in the area including the China Clay Country Park, Charlestown Shipwreck Museum and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A fabulous location to explore the rich heritage and magnificent coastline of South Cornwall.
