It is in a lovely location ideal for the village and beach access. The sitting room, dining room and shower room are in lovely condition. The kitchen and downstairs bedroom are lovely but could do with a little modernising. The family bedroom upstairs is gorgeous a really lovely room to stay in. The family bathroom looks lovely but I think there may be a plumbing issue. Unfortunately the bunk room lets the property down. There was a strong smell of damp and without the door and dorma window being fully open this room could not be used.

The property

Located on the south-west coast of Cornwall in the town of Mevagissey is this large delightful house, Wisteria.

Suited for a family holiday to Cornwall with spacious rooms and excellent amenities, this will be your Cornish home-from-home.

A beautifully presented traditional sitting room awaits you, containing two large sofas that you can sink into, as light floods in from the large bay windows looking out over the levels of the garden and beyond whilst you are being warmed by the electric coal-effect fire that sits within the ornate wood fireplace against the sky blue wall, adding a splash of colour to this serene space.

Take one of the games from the antique drawers in the dining room and get setup on the table for an evening of family competition, with plenty of seating for all to join in, with this room benefiting from an electric fire too, so you’ll stay nice and toasty.

Moving over the attractive wooden floors brings you to the kitchen and breakfast area, enjoying a real homely and country style interior, with wood units and a stable door.

Pretty touches and decoration bring this room together from the decorative wooden fireplace to the stylish red Smeg fridge in the corner, and within it you can find all you need to whip up some great meals or prepare a picnic for your day out.

Open up the farm-style door to find the utility room where you can do some washing with the washing machine and tumble dryer, so you can pack light on your travels.

The first of two bathrooms in the property is on the ground-floor, holding a shower, basin and WC, while the upstairs bathroom is where a moment of luxury can be had with a soak in the free-standing claw foot bath.

Next door to the shower room you can choose to drift off in the evening in the lovely ground-floor double room, enhanced by attractive bed linen and affording plenty of storage space within the wardrobe.

Find the other two bedrooms on the first-floor, a family room contains a double bed and a single day bed, perfect if you’ve got a little one, or if not simply enjoy the day bed as another area to enjoy a quiet moment to yourself with a good book, with velux windows sat within the sloping ceiling looking out down to the harbour.

The final room is the bunk bedroom where children’s bunks make the perfect set up for your little ones to get their rest after busy days of exciting activities!

Wake up and take a morning coffee out to the garden seating, with the garden set on several levels past the three flights of steps needed to access the property, filled with luscious green plants and flowers, it’s a brilliant way to start your day.

Walk down to the town centre and explore your surroundings by wandering around the intricate streets filled with quaint shops and independent businesses, from craft workshops, gift shops and galleries, you are sure to find a souvenir you'll love from this lovely place.

A short drive will bring you to one of Cornwall's delights, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Victorian gardens set within 200-acres of lush grounds, boasting wonderful wildlife and fauna, you can get lost in the Jungle, sit back in the Pleasure Grounds and take in the day or marvel at the Productive Gardens with the wonderful grown produce.

A walk along the South West Coast Path of around 2-miles north will bring you to the lovely Pentewan Beach for a day by the sea in sunny weather.

Wisteria is a fantastic property to bring your loved ones to for a fabulous Cornish adventure.
