  • "Another excellent stay at Cartway Cabin, all was in good order, exactly as last time."

It is wonderful to see the little garden develop, the seedums and agapanthus are perfect. Really appreciate these touches. Also, a massive thank you to all at John Bray who helped deal with my forgotten (and very valuable) luggage. It arrived today and I am extremely grateful that this was dealt with so swiftly and carefully. We will be booking again!

Thank you for your lovely comments, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us again. Happy to hear your luggage has arrived home with you safely and we very much look forward to welcoming you again very soon. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owners. Property Owner

It was lovely to have a quiet spot with beautiful views and withing walking distance of Port Isaac. The cabin was beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely go again and highly recommend! Thank you

  • "The small house is built and furnished to a very high standard with love."

We felt very good there. The location is great and very quiet. The beds are unfortunately not good, because in the bedroom downstairs very small for 2 people (about 1.30m wide) and upstairs only suitable for very small persons like children.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. Our apologies the beds were not to your liking, this has been noted. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cosy little cabin perfect for one or two would be difficult with two couples due to the issues discussed elsewhere with only one toilet off the Master bedroom."

I was very fortunate with the weather and the patio was very nice for doing yoga in the morning. A Sun lounger would’ve been nice. All in all Good value for money.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such wonderful feedback with us, we will make sure we share it with the owners. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Cartway Cabin and made the most of the beautiful weather. We really appreciate your thoughts and look forward to welcoming you back hopefully soon. • "'Position is good."

Outside deck south facing so sunny and with great view of Gaverne valley. Compact space but good for a couple but not 2 couples. Reason is bathroom only accessible from ground floor bedroom. Obvious problems therefore if toilet needed during nightime. The use of lights on, doors creaking, ceiling light on cord pull that clicks, flushing cistern, embarrassing noises etc, all this will wake up the couple in bed who might not even have been sleeping anyway! Could all be very awkward and takes privacy and intimacy away. The listing states there is a fridge and on next line a fridge/freezer. There is no photo of it on the restricted pics available. In actual fact there is only a fridge below worktop with a small top freezer box. Ok for fishfingers but not if you take frozen food with you, as we do so as to avoid cooking to much. There are no cupboards to store food so it all has to be clogging worktop space. New fridge would be good due to the door tray falling out every time its opened so milk & wine etc hits the floor. Wall cupboard to left of sink easy to fit for food storage'.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team at John Bray Cornish Holidays and to the owner. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Good location for access to Port Gaverne and Port Isaac ."

Steep climbs but lovely walks . Had all we needed for the 2 of us for the week . Nice design and layout . Having parking is a bonus in this area. Only downsides were no upper bracket to have a shower . Clothes line falling apart . Garden is a wilderness overgrown with weeds and thistles . The Cartway Cove next door has beautifully presented gardens . With a little T L C to the outside area this could be perfect .

Thank you for your comments on Cartway Cabin. We will look into the items that you have raised. John Bray Cornish Holidays Property Owner

  • "This was a lovely cottage in a extremely picturesque location."

Only a short walk down to the harbour and then on to Port Issac. The only two comments were; the shower, you had to sit down in the bath to have a shower! Quite a few previous customers have commented on this before. The garden, we felt like the poor neighbours compared to the house next door with their lovely lawns. I am all for the wild garden but just a little tidy up along the path and the front of the decking would have been good. I would have done it myself if there had been some shears left. However would definitely recommend this cabin for comfort and location.

  • "We loved our holiday experience at Cartway Cabin."

The property is in a gorgeous spot and, once our legs were acclimatised to the hilly terrain, the walks into Port Isaac and along the coastal path were really enjoyable. The Cabin was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The ladder to the mezzanine bedroom was very steep and should be highlighted in the description. We look forward to a return visit

However it is short of storage space and you should advise clients to use soft luggage rather than suitcases particularly if there is a party of 4 in the family. There is nowhere to store food and the owner might consider putting another cupboard to the left of the sink.
