"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Little Beach Cabin."
Visiting in July meant we were fortunate to experience perfect weather, with stunning sunsets visible both from the cliff edge and through the Velux window in the bedroom.
The space itself is architecturally impressive, with every detail thoughtfully designed to maximise both functionality and comfort, creating a truly inviting environment. During peak summer, the cabin can become quite warm, so bringing a good fan for the bedroom is advisable.
The location is excellent, with direct access to the beach via the cliff path. It is worth noting, however, that timing your walk with the tide is important, as access can be cut off when the tide is in. If you're going to take the car to Crantock beach in the summer get there at 9am otherwise you just won't get a space.
The Bowgie Inn, located just across the way, was a standout during our stay, offering excellent service and a great atmosphere. Crantock Beach is an absolute must-visit, and we would also highly recommend a trip to Lusty Glaze, where you can relax on the beach or enjoy the unique open-plan indoor setting overlooking the sea.

"This was our second stay there and we absolutely love this cottage."
It’s beautifully and personally decorated, so you feel right at home straight away. The location is brilliant. As always, we had a brilliant time and will definitely come back.

"Very cosy little cottage on the outskirts of the village."
The decor was to a good standard with all the mod cons expected including WiFi and Sky TV etc. A nice touch was the wood burning stove and lots of books etc giving it a homely feel. We did need the stove on one night with the cold breeze coming off the headland. The location was great for those like us who prefer quieter locations but with easy access to Newquay only 15mins away. Perfect for star gazers with little light pollution proving a great spectacle on a clear night. The only downside was the proximity to the beach car park access. This was not an issue for us as the car park traffic was not that heavy in April but might be more of an issue in high season.

"When we first arrived we were concerned as the property looked very small from the outside but pleasantly surprised when we entered."
Everything you need for a perfect break.
Great location for coastal walks.
Very secure courtyard so hubby’s paddleboard was safe to be left out.
Amazing views from the bedroom windows.
Nearest pub (Bowgie) is only a few mins walk - but only dog friendly outside. 20 mins walk into Crantock along a country road for 2 more great pubs serving excellent food.
Very close to a public car park so you can hear the crunch of the gravel and people talking as they walk by, but this didn’t annoy us.
Bedroom is not ideal if you are not very mobile as you need to climb wooden spiral staircase to get to bedroom.
We both loved our stay here and will hopefully return one day.

"It has beautiful views from the top part of the cabin overlooking the field and then out to sea."
The cabin looked bigger in the pictures advertised, was ok for 2 people. I would advise they maybe clear out a cupboard for guests in the kitchen, as no space on the side where the oven and fridge are.
The other little space that has the kettle on had 3 small cupboards 1 had general information stuffed inside, leaflets and some games the other 2 had lots of glasses in them along with a dog bowl 2 water bottles one without a lid, a dirty milk frother for the coffee machine and some other random bits. We had to move some of the stuff from the middle cupboard so we had some personal space for our food. The lack of cupboard space again upstairs, 4 very shallow draws and for thr wardrobe it us a pull out hook which does not hold a lot of clothes, think we got 5 hangers on it. The bath in the picture looks fab, but when you see it in the bedroom, it does look a little misplaced. The bathroom downstairs is nice and big, shower and everything worked great. We did try to use the log burner, but it must have had a blockage somewhere as the smell was like you had just had an open bonfire in your house. We have one at home so knew how to work it and knew it should not smell like that, maybe more frequent maintenance.
My husband was gutted as there had been lots of wood left for guests, so it was a shame about the fire.
The nights were a little chilly and there were blankets in the property, unfortunately they were not clean and had stain marks on them.
Think the big white fur like blankets had been used as a dog blanket as it was smelly and had mud stains. We were provided with a little hand held vacuum to clean up after ourselves, but I had to clean the filter and empty it out as again very smelly.
It was also not advertised we are next door to a pay and display car park and you hear all the cars and people's conversion as they walk past the property. It also does not have ample parking as stated, we just about got our car on the little slot provided.
We stay in Cornwall all the time and have done for over 15 years, I can honestly say the price charged does not reflect what you get.

"The little beach cabin on the whole is a really lovely place, the location is absolutely perfect and great for exploring the beautiful beaches and walks on offer."
The bed and sofa are really comfortable and the log fire is great for those cosy nights in.
There were a couple of things that sadly let it down, when I booked in April the property was listed as having a washing machine which I can since see another reviewer has mentioned, I specifically checked this as staying for ten nights felt one was needed, when we arrived the welcome pack said the washing machine and dryer could be found in the utility room. We couldn’t find this utility room at all and upon checking with property management were informed there wasn’t one. This was disappointing as we had packed lightly thinking we could wash our clothes half way through the stay.
The other issue which did impact our stay was the blind to the French doors, it is not fitted correctly and was not working and it fell down on our first night. This really impacted our sleep as the light was so bright in the mornings to the bedroom. Property management did come out to put in a temporary fix however it took them a few days to arrive so our first five mornings were disturbed, not ideal as we had really wanted to use this time to rest well and not be up at 6.30am for half of the holiday.
Other than those issues this was a really lovely holiday and crantock is well worth the visit for peace and tranquility!

"What an amazing cabin, everything was just as listed."
We had often looked for a quirky romantic place to stay, and Little Beach Cabin has been that perfect place.
It was ideally situated to enjoy the huge beach at Crantock, as well as the much quieter Polly Joke. We had unknowingly chosen a week where the tides were perfect to enjoy both beaches at low tide.
Our collie thoroughly enjoyed her extended walks and play times, she has returned shattered but happy.
We are looking forward to returning for another break in the not too distant future.

"Absolutely fantastic weeks stay at Little beach cabin with a lovely comfy sofa and bed."
We loved the cosy feel to the cabin and just a short walk to a beautiful beach, also a bonus is the private garden area a great sun trap.
Only query was that was the property was listed as having a washing machine? But we couldn't find one? Not a real problem though. I Would definitely recommend .

"Beautiful place to stay but very disappointed there were no cleaning products ..."
Beautiful place to stay but very disappointed there were no cleaning products such as a mop and bucket as with two dogs I would have liked to have done a good clean before leaving the property, also everyone parking in the polly joke car park was using the property bin
Thanks for your kind words Alison.
We’ve taken your feedback and purchased a hand held hoover for the property and we’re in the process of ordering lockable bins.

"What a warm and cosy cottage."
The hamlet of West Pentire is on the edge of beautiful beaches and headland walks, overlooking a thriving seal colony. The nearby Albion pub is welcoming, serving plain, but good, food.
Everything in the cottage is planned perfectly to ensure a relaxing holiday. We thoroughly recommend it if you want a quiet, peaceful week.
The only downside is the small parking space, but then, we do have a large 4x4 and we could just about squeeze it in.
