  • “The pub closed down at least 2 months ago and will not reopen until next year at the earliest.”

As we like to have a drink with our dinner and don't drink & drive, this meant that we had to cook in the cottage each evening. This means we don't get a holiday from cooking !

As we like to have a drink with our dinner and don't drink & drive, this meant that we had to cook in the cottage each evening. This means we don't get a holiday from cooking ! Also, your app gives a countdown to when we can get in. This is set for midnight, but we cannot get in till 17.30 later that day !

The property

Stroll to the beach from this lovely two-storey apartment which provides light and modern décor situated in the beautiful, small village of Porthcurno on the south west coast of Cornwall.

With the spectacular cove of soft white sand and clear azure seas just a short stroll away, this is the ideal choice for the family seaside holiday.

There are two pretty bedrooms on the first floor - open up the French doors in the master bedroom and let the fresh sea air stream in as you take your morning coffee onto the decking area.

Downstairs the open plan living area is stylish and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen ready to prepare your favourite meal and why not take it outside and enjoy some al fresco dining.

Porthcurno lies just below the unforgettable Minack Theatre, carved out of natural rock on the cliff edge, with the sea as a magnificent backdrop.

Just outside the village lies the Museum of Submarine Telegraphy which is housed in a secret wartime communications centre, whilst a short walk along the coastal path will bring you to Logan Rock or ‘Rocking Stone’ which is part of an Iron Age Cliff Castle.

This is a beautiful coastal area with cliff top walks and pretty beaches and the surrounding countryside is equally lovely where you will find tiny villages and traditional pubs.

A trip to Land’s End, the most westerly point in the England, is a great day out or visit the stunning St Ives with its beaches, St Michael’s Mount and winding lanes with plenty of gift shops and art galleries.

A great apartment for a holiday in a beautiful area of Cornwall.
