  • "The property was beautifully presented."

Clean and tidy, light and airy. TV posed somewhat of a challenge as did the WIFI. But didn't not deter from, what was, a fabulous break.

  • "We had a really good stay the apartment is in a good location to the beach and for getting around the area."

The only very small issue we had and the owner was on it which was great. Thanks for a great stay.

  • "A very pretty apartment with everything you could wish for an enjoyable holiday and spotlessly clean and so close to the beach, walks and the Minack Theatre."

  • "The apartment had everything that we needed and was very clean on arrival."

We read that the bed was a little hard, however we found it really comfy. We would of liked a more comfortable sofa, as it was hard. The washer/ dryer and dishwasher were a real treat as there items not normally supplied. I would absolutely recommend the apartment.. The position is a very short walk from the beach and some amazing costal walks, can get a little noisy in the morning with the traffic, but not an issue.

  • "Lovely apartment in a perfect location to Porthcurno beach."

Really clean, not a spek of dust even on skirting boards! Everything we could have needed was avaliable at the apartment. Only downside was that the mattress was a bit hard but that is up to personal preference. Would defenitely be looking to stay here again!

  • "Excellent location, perfect for coastal walks, very peaceful."

The flat had everything we needed, we just found the bed a bit uncomfortable but that is our only fault. Complimentary biscuits, tea, coffee etc, were a nice touch. Great value for money.

  • "The access driveway to the property is easily missed and GPS doesn't work in the valley."

Perhaps clearer signage would help? The property was perfect and the facilities amazing but we found the bed quite uncomfortable.

  • "I could hear a lot of noise from the people next door, I was hoping it would have been more quiet than it was, i was awoken nearly every morning around 5."

30am by a child either screaming or crying which did spoil my holiday quite a bit.

Located close to gorgeous beach, minack theatre and telegraph museum - all highly recommended. Local friendly pub and cafe, is definately worth a visit. I would definitely stay here again.

  • "The apartment was beautiful and the space was plenty for the 2 of us."

Everything was lovely but it would have been nice to have a bigger shower and a tumble dryer as we washed our towels and the provided towels but as there was no where to dry them while we were out they went horrid smelling as they drip dried on the floor.

Very close to the beach, Minack and cafe. We ate regularly at the village pub -great food!. Very clean, nicely decorated - yes, we'll be back!

  • "It was a real shame that there were two things that partly spoilt the holiday."

Firstly even though previous customers had mentioned online the softness of the mattress on the bed, the owners had failed to do anything about it, be warned. To say it was uncomfortable was an understatement and led to seven very uncomfortable nights. Secondly the tv in the bedroom doesn't work as no signal can be achieved, again as previously mentioned online on your website and the one in the lounge you need a degree to configure the set-up. I know a tv isn't everything on a holiday but when it's advertised it should already be set up and working. The apartment is well equipped although there was a feeling of end of season about the place and a little maintenance wouldn't go astray, given the six hours between the property being vacated and new clients being allowed to gain access. I'm afraid to rate it as a 4 star holiday accommodation is far of the mark, perhaps a two would be better? Apart from that Porthcurno is a lovely place and it's a shame the edge was taken off our holiday. Hopefully these comments will be passed to the owners for some sort of action!

  • "Was a lovely stay."

Tv in bedroom didn’t work and the lack of WiFi was frustrating in an area with no phone signal. But in relation to our comfort and enjoyment of the property we were very happy.

  • "It is a well equipped and very clean apartment."

It was lovely to see fresh flowers a packet of biscuits and 2 pints of milk waiting for us when we arrived, such a kind thought. Just a couple of negative points - the sofa is more of a large armchair and so cannot seat 2 people comfortably which means that a couple cannot sit together. The bed seemed comfy but the mattress was soft and I did not have a comfortable night's sleep and ended up with a bad back. But that is just personal to me, but thought it may be worth a mention in case any prospective traveller has back issues. It may also be worth mentioning that there is no mobile phone signal at the cottage or in the surrounding area. There is however wifi at the Cable Inn just up from the cottage. It is a lovely, fresh apartment and a great base for exploring the West of Cornwall.

We've stayed twice now in this block and would book this flat again, on balance.

The property

Within a few minutes walk of the sandy beach at Porthcurno, this cute ground floor apartment is nestled in a valley setting.

The apartment is within a detached building of three properties with a shared garden which forms part of a former hotel and has all the ingredients to make a superb holiday bolt-hole for couples.

Light and bright with double aspect windows, pale porcelain tiled floor and an all white décor, the contemporary styled accommodation incorporates a living room with a dining area and smart kitchen.

The bedroom has a comfortable, relaxing ambiance with a tastefully appointed en-suite shower room - perfect for washing sandy toes after a sunshine filled day by the sea.

There is pretty garden which is shared with the other apartments.

Potter down to the beach and spend the day lazing by the sea or discover the cliff paths and stunning coastal views in either direction from the cove.

Porthcurno is home to the incredible Minack Theatre, carved from the granite cliff-face with dramatic backdrop of sea and sky - a magical site to visit or watch an evening performance.

Porthcurno also has a little café and ice cream shop but for eating out we recommend heading to Sennen Cove, Mousehole or Newlyn.

Land's End is just over three miles away with its majestic ruggedly natural landscape to be enjoyed in all weathers and cliff paths encompassing the Atlantic Ocean.
