  • "An exceptional property with great attention to detail."

    It was extremely well equipped and included everything to make the week long stay a memorable experience (celebrating our son's 40th birthday with family). There were nice touches such as a Welcome Pack and flowers on arrival. The hot tub and games room were great; the former was especially popular with all of us including our three young grand daughters. The gardens and outside lighting were also of a high standard and added to the experience as did the availability of private parking for three or more vehicles. Probably the most comfortable holiday home that we have stayed in and we have stayed in more expensive similar properties before. The only issue was the relatively cool temperature of the two middle bedrooms that might have benefitted from a simple bleeding of the radiators! In conclusion we will seriously consider a return visit to Cherry Trees.

  • "Excellent property."

    It might be better if hot tub is kept up and running on day of arrival as that's what we need after a long drive. EV charger just 4min down the road. Takes 4hrs to charge.

    I'm really glad you liked Cherrytrees. I completely understand what you mean about wanting to get straight into the hot tub after your journey - unfortunately the regulations are very strict, and the water has to be changed between every rental and it then takes a few hours to heat up.   • "Cherrytrees is a wonderful property in a great location."

    The house has everything you could want for a relaxing comfortable stay. It is one of the best properties we have stayed in and the owners deserve credit for the refurbishment and thank them for sharing their property. There was however one issue we encountered and would like to feedback to the owners as the only negative during our week stay. Around and under the sofa area of the kitchen were three butt ends of roll ups, a plaster and lots of food crumbs. This was discovered when our 18 month old baby picked one from the floor and typically put it in her mouth. I can only assume those persons prior to our attendance were responsible as I just cannot believe that this could or should have been missed. The rest of the house, bedding and bath towels were clean and in good order and after this initial issue our stay was very enjoyable. I would note it is not clear from the documentation how much responsibility is put on the previous tenants to clean, what level, particularly during these COVID times and if the property is inspected again prior to the next occupants, therefore we made use of the cleaning services at an additional cost of £40 to spare anyone the cleanliness issue we encountered. Whilst down there a visit was made to the John Bray office to report the cleaning issues that we encountered and was advised that our comments would be passed on.

    Dear Mr Matthews I am so sorry that you found this mess when you arrived at Cherrytrees. The house should have a complete changeover clean between guests, and so I'm grateful to you for letting us know about this and for taking the trouble to report it to John Bray. The property

Cherrytrees is an impressive, contemporary holiday home situated in a peaceful and private cul-de-sac, within walking distance of local shops, restaurants, and beaches in Rock, Cornwall.

Beautifully furnished, Cherrytrees provides light, airy and very stylish self-catering accommodation throughout and is in a fantastic central location, perfect for enjoying the North Cornwall coast and all it has to offer.

Sliding bi-fold doors open out onto beautifully designed, landscaped grounds and terraces with the advantage of a hot tub (available at an additional weekly charge), and a level lawn at the rear of the property.

Spread out in the huge open-plan living space and throw open the wide bi-fold doors to bring the outside in, whilst cooking up a seafood feast in the sleek kitchen; well laid-out with plenty of work surfaces, this is a welcoming place to create something simple and delicious.

If there is any time left after a busy day on the beach, enjoy a game of table tennis in the garage, before sloping off the sleep in the well-appointed bedrooms, including two super-king-size with en-suites, a twin, and a bunk room, with an additional single bed for flexibility.

From Cherrytrees, stroll downhill to find Rock and Porthilly beaches, whilst the sailing club and ski school rest at the waterfront; book lessons or rent equipment to improve your skills and have some fun.

St Enodoc Golf Club is just a short walk away; wander over the golf course and sand dunes to climb Brea Hill for superb views of the Camel estuary, Atlantic Ocean, and Pentire Point.

Continue to reach Daymer Bay, a beautiful sandy beach for paddling, swimming and for exploring the rock pools and cliffs approaching Greenaway beach and Polzeath.

Padstow 1.5 miles via ferry; Polzeath 2.8 miles; Wadebridge 6.2 miles.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country.
