"Fantastic location to explore the stunning Rock estuary and surrounding area."
Only a stones throw from the beach. The property generally clean and tidy and adequately equipped, apart from the rather ancient TV which was OK and DVD player which we couldn't get to work likewise the freeview Box and Amazon firestick. The property is immediately behind The Mariners pub whilst not 'noisy' you are aware of the general noises associated with the running of a pub and constant hum of the extractor fans and occasional fumes.The adjacent property (number 8)was undergoing substantial roof repairs with work often continuing until 7.30pm. Our vehicle on several occasions was covered in sawdust from this work , we appreciate this is out of the control of the owner of number 7. Additionally substantial building work is commencing on Mariners lettings opposite resulting in general noise and disruption associated with any building work.

"Overall ok."
Generally clean but cobwebs in bedroom, bathroom skylights and fridge door handles (recessed) not cleaned, neither stereo unit ( covered in dust).
Fixtures and fittings somewhat ‘tired’ and cutlery very old. No mugs only very small tea cups. Plenty of items though.
TV needs replacing. Downstairs shower unusable as water temp changed from stone cold to boiling hot with an extremely small adjustment. Strange as it it seemed quite new/modern.
Bit of Capital expenditure would significantly improve things.
The Mariners pub had a loud radio playing in the kitchen during the day sometimes but appreciate not much can be done about that.
Saying all of that the house was fine overall for our purposes and none of the above had a significant impact on our enjoyable stay in a good location with nice views from the (large) balcony and lounge area. Bed was comfortable.

"Perfect setting."
Accommodation a little tired and a bit grubby (carpet and walls). Urine smell in wardrobe of large bedroom, possibly from the blankets stored there, also from the sofa in lounge. All in all, 7 Slipway is good value for money.

"We had a fantastic time in Slipway 7."
Property was exactly as described and pictures were accurate. Clean and well equipped - all good to go on our arrival.
Worth noting that it sleeps 8, but probably only about 6 adults as the bunk rooms are quite snug.

"It should be stated within the description that there is a restaurant right in front of the property with a rather noisy ventilation system."
The balcony is therefor only partly useful.

Thank you very much for this feedback. The noise of the fans does not normally inhibit the use of the balcony, we will get in touch with the pub as it may mean that some fan maintenance is needed. They are normally very attentive to any problems.

"A typical holiday let cottage - town house actually."
The lounge/kitchen/diner & balcony were good. The bedrooms and fittings were a little weary. It was perfectly adequate but quite without character.
The estuary view was half blocked by the Mariners pub directly in front of it.
The internet password had changed so we had to hunt for that on the router.
On the plus side we could walk to the ferry from the house.

"We have stayed in different properties on Slipway over the years and found this one to be quite tired and shabby in comparison to anywhere else we have stayed."
The carpets were stained and the furniture tired and in need of replacement. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. The downstairs bedroom was stuffy and we needed to open the windows on arrival to remove the stale smell. We felt that no-one had stayed in the property for a while.
We know the location is great, with excellent views and couldn’t be closer to the Mariners. However, the property really is need of some TLC, in particular compared with other similar properties on Slipway.

"We always love staying at No."
7. Not only is it a perfect holiday base with a superb situation , but, crucially, you can be sure that everything really works. One just has a sense of a very well looked after place: quality white goods, windows which open and close easily, heating that works well etc. It is a really comfortable home from home. They probably need more wine glasses soon! But it was fine for our needs.

"We had a wonderful time in Slipway 7, 9 years after our first trip."
It's just such an incredible location & worth the rent solely for the excellent parking space!!
It's balcony is stunning, the house is basic but I like that, if it was all pristine I'd be hoovering up sand all week & polishing to keep it all looking beautiful, this house just lets you enjoy it!
