  • "We've been coming down to St Ives for many years but this was our first time in an apartment."

    Loved this place, it was big enough for two of us who just wanted a base. Well appointed (apart from the hill) for the town centre and Porthminster Beach. The apartment is well furnished to a good standard. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely try and stop there next time we come down

  • "Nice apartment with plenty of storage and good, fairly quiet location."

    Found we could park on road outside for free except 09:00-18:00. It's quite small. The large comfy bed has little room to get past. Even when the daytime temperature didn't get above 22°C the bedroom got too warm. Bathroom needs minor maintenance: cistern overflowing, missing hook on door, toilet seat very loose. Shower screen jams on one side. Designed for a tall person. If you are 5'0" you will find it hard to reach things in the kitchen. Just about 4*, because 3 seems too harsh.

  • "Lovely apartment which was absolutely perfect for us."

    Clean and bright throughout and with a very fun shower! Only drawback was the person who insisted on thudding across the floors in the apartment above but that’s not a fault of the accommodation! Car parking being paid for the week was a huge benefit and there were lovely essentials and some treats left for us to enjoy too - an unexpected and very welcome surprise. We wouldn’t look any further if we return to St Ives. Thank you Richard for your kindness, and we look forward to the next visit to lovely St Ives.

  • "An almost perfect apartment, clean, comfortable and close walk into town."

    Marked down only because the WiFi internet speed was so slow it wasn’t really useable for my working holiday. I had to use my phone hotspot, which was patchy from the apartment.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at 5 Lyonesse Apartments."

    It was clean and tidy with all facilities in the apartment in good working order. The only issue would be the distance between the car park and the apartment. Number 5 is the only apartment that doesn’t have a parking space so it’s a bit of a walk up hill to the car park. However, the cost of the parking is covered by the owner of the apartment so if you don’t mind walking it’s fine. St Ives is a lovely spot but very busy so it’s worth travelling around to get a good feel for Cornwall and it won’t disappoint as it’s beautiful and we would definitely recommend a trip to Cornwall.

  • "The apartment that we booked is literally at the heart of St."

    Ives. Everything you need is in there. Bus stop and train station is just around the corner. Shops are lovely. Tourist attractions? can't complain. It is really a wonderful experience. Worth every penny.

    Great location. Parking a slight downfall, although great it is paid for in main carpark sometimes if you go out for day there are times when you come back and carpark is full leaving you nowhere to park.

  • "A fantastic stay in the heart of St Ives We loved our time at 5 Lyonesse Apartments!"

    The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, shops, train station and cultural high points like Tate Gallery St. Ives. The apartment was clean, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfy and the apartment was lovely. A great base for exploring the town and coastline. The owner was also very accommodating and helpful whose help we appreciated greatly. Highly recommended!

  • "A great bolt hole for exploring St Ives and the area."

    The apartments in close walking to station, shops and beach (5mins). It has everything you need, it’s super warm inside (we visited in Feb) and the bed is incredible! We will definitely be back!!

  • "The apartment was just as described - small but perfectly formed and very well equipped, especially the kitchen area."

    We were pleased to find a full sized dishwasher, tall fridge freezer, full size cooker,full set of kitchen knives & plenty of crockery & glassware - perfect for self catering. As Sykes owners ourselves, we found the property thoughtfully equipped. The location was excellent - very quiet, facing the side of the next building, away from through traffic & with very few noisy seagulls - a bonus in St Ives! The bed was extremely comfy and we appreciated the Egyptian cotton bedding. Great also, to find bathroom & kitchen products and cloths. The only thing missing was a teapot!

  • "When we first got there it was raining and we could not get into the apartment."

    Finally after 2 hours someone came and we got in. The key was wrong. When we walked in to the flat it smelt bad and throughout our stay it kept smelling of wee. The WiFi was rubbish. The shower was tiny, very difficult to have a proper shower. Boiler was making noise all night so couldn’t sleep properly. The good thing was the view and that it’s close to the beach and also that you had all the cutlery to use.

    We are sorry you couldn't use the keys, other guests have managed fine with the same key set but I will have this checked. I will ask the cleaner to investigate the smell, nobody has ever mentioned this before. The shower is as large as it can be for the bathroom so apologies it was not large enough for your liking. WIFI sadly is out of my control. It is the fastest available for the area currently. The Combi boiler will only make noise when it is asked to do something so unless you were running hot water at night or had the heating on full, it would remain quiet. Sorry it wasn't to your liking.
