Totally impressed from the minute we laid eyes on the old piggery.

Perfect setting beautiful grounds. On entering the property we were surprised by the interior, it was immaculately presented which is sometimes hard at a dog friendly stay but every room was beautifully clean. Old oak beams, doors and exposed brickwork made it feel so traditional. Everything we may have needed was there and we would 100% recommend to friends and family. We have never stayed in a property where the hospitality was so impressive. We hope to revisit cornwall and would happily stay at the old piggery again. Thanks to Sally and Jean our stay was a complete pleasure.

The Old Piggery was ideal for our holiday, tucked away and quiet but within easy reach of the beach and shop.

All of the usual tourist hot spots, St Ives, Penzance, St Just etc. were within easy reach. The owners made us feel very welcome with a gift of scones and jam and milk. Thoughtfully provided a dog box containing bowls, mats, treats and towels. The bed was very comfortable, the settees were comfortable but designed for a somewhat younger guest i.e. pre knee replacement! Sally kept in touch to make sure all was well and was on the end of the phone if needed. The garden was relatively secure for a small dog but a determined escape artist would need monitoring. The grass could have done with a cut but, to be fair, the weather had not been gardening friendly prior to our booking. We would be very happy to book the Old Piggery again.

We loved our stay, the place was immaculate, the bed super comfy and they have a well equipped kitchen.

Very attentive and welcoming, nice garden, ample parking and walking distance to the beach, pub and good coffee! Will be recommending to family and friends.

We stayed at The Old Piggery, with our two dogs, over Christmas whilst visiting our daughter's family who live close by.

From the photos of the lounge our first thoughts were "ooh this looks a bit quirky" but the colour scheme works really well with subtle hints throughout the other rooms. What a lovely, comfortable, well-equipped property this is. We were able to prepare and cook a full "Christmas" dinner for four people - something we wouldn't have attempted in other self-catering accommodation we have stayed in. It was lovely to find the house decorated for Christmas and a seasonal welcome hamper. We like to take the dogs for a morning walk on the beach at Portreath just 10 mins drive away followed by coffee/hot chocolate at The Pod cafe. We can recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Porthtowan/Portreath vicinity.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable with all mod cons.

The modern sofas were not very comfortable for us oldies though they looked in keeping with the cottage. The beds were very comfortable - would love to know they make and type of mattress on the king size bed! We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Piggery
