Flaad House is a large, attractive, self-catering home, within walking distance to Rock and Porthilly beaches, designed with coastal living in mind.
Sleeping ten guests, over five generously-sized bedrooms, Flaad House offers an ideal base for a family or group getaway to the Cornish coastline.
Offering plenty of space to store all your surfing equipment and beach paraphernalia, after a day out on the Camel Estuary and exploring the area, you can relax in style at Flaad House.
Decorated in an elegant manner, with comfort at its forefront and a tasteful nod to its seaside location, from when you first walk in you can wind down and embrace the coastal ambience.
The entrance hallway leads to a separate sitting room, with a feature woodburning stove, and an abundance of magazines to give you a great excuse to curl up on the sofas and switch off from the world.
In fine weather, throw open the patio doors and allow the fresh air to floor the space, opening out onto the terrace and back garden.
Just across the hallway takes you into the expansive, incredibly well-equipped kitchen, with a large island which makes preparing family feasts a dream, and a couple of bar stools at the end of this island, meaning cooking can be a social affair.
This light and airy room leads around to the dining area, inviting everyone to join for large spreads.
With the bifold doors folded back, this space again opens out onto the terrace; perfect for bringing the outdoors in and entertaining when the sun is shining.
Spilling outside, the large back garden allows everyone to socialise outdoors, perhaps partaking in a tempting tipple on the plush garden sofa while watching the little ones of the party enjoy the lawn area.
When all worn out after plenty of time in the garden and from the beach, everyone can retreat to their own bedrooms; the master is the showstopper of the house, on the second floor it offers privacy and luxury with its own private balcony which overlooks the Camel estuary - sit out in the evening and reflect on the day as you gaze out towards the sunset.
On the first floor, there is a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a double bedroom, and smaller bedroom with a further double bed.
On the ground floor, there is a good-sized twin bedroom, with a door to the shower room.
When needing to refresh, this luxurious downstairs shower room features four cubicles alongside each other for maximum convenience, but there is also a family bathroom upstairs.
In a superb location to spend your days on and near the water, Flaad House is a short walk from Rock and Porthilly beaches.
On your walk down, you conveniently pass the Mariners Pub where Paul Ainsworth’s team will look after you while you indulge in their delicious fare.
Just opposite is Rock Sailing Club and further down, Camel Ski School; both offering watersports enthusiasts the opportunity to get out on the estuary.
Just after the little shops, two restaurants and ever popular Blue Tomato Cafe; at the bottom of Rock, you can find the slipway where the passenger ferry can sail you over to Padstow for a touch of retail therapy as you explore the historic harbour town.
If you wish to take the car and venture north from Flaad House, you can wriggle around the coastline and take in the picturesque of Daymer Bay and watch the windsurfers here, with the ancient St. Enodoc Church nestled just above in the middle of the eponymous St. Enodoc Golf Course.
Enjoy all of this with a stay at Flaad House.
