  • "We came to Trevethy and Atlanta last year, both of which we enjoyed immensely, so much so that we decided we must come again, which is what we have done."

As most of your guests have said, we have once again enjoyed Atlanta, in fact we all feel that the changes you have made to the open plan room are superb, well done. The welcoming gifts were once again appreciated and soon disappeared after a long journey, thank you. My family (7) would like to thank you for everything and wish you a successful summer, Hope to come yet again to such a lovely spot and house, Angela.

Fantastic weather. Great base for walks. A big thanks for the amazing local treats, we really enjoyed them. Cannot wait to visit again. The Malthouse Tintagel is a high quality food, high price but worth it.

TINTAGEL

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination, surrounded by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the South West Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and within a short distance is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a short but scenic drive.
