  • "The property was very old and dated."

Cleaning was a quick wipe over not a clean ready for new guests. The inside had cobwebs, rust and the bathroom was mouldy and was in desperate need of an update and decorating. Furniture was worn and outdated by at least two decades! The outside was not mentained. The wood panels needed painting with some requiring replacement. The PVC was filthy. We looked at other Sykes chalets and they were no better. Overall the site was run down but it was obvious what units were not Sykes. The site manager wasn't interested as we were Sykes customers. Infact a comment was made at check-in about the Sykes chalets and it wasn't positive!

  • "This challet was nothing impressive but full of spiders, insects and spiderwebs everywhere."

My children's were furious whole time we stayed. Everytime we were going beds, I had to check the beds and cleaned the spider webs from windows behind the curtains. Three was huge spiders at the corner of the sofa . Sofa's and pillows were old and dirty. There wasn't any headboard so banging head on the wall in the middle of the night was awful. This is a very very tiny space for a family of four. We were regretting that should've been paid a little more could give us better places that that. And also it was so hot whole day we felt like roasting ourselves inside a oven. Next time we will find something better but never this again.

  • "This accommodation is run down."

Dirty not maintained and totally mis-represented by the images in the advertisement,on top of everything the mattresses are the cheapest oldest and uncomfortable, ruined our extended trip around Cornwall and Devon glad we were only there for three days as we couldn’t find any alternative accommodation!!!

  • "The fridge freezer was turned off when we arrived, that was a pain since we'd brought perishable food with us."

The need to leave the bathroom window open was a niggle too, we ignored it once and it did get a bit whiffy. We've stayed at Atlantic Bay before and in comparison to the other property this one could do with a bit of love.
