  • "We had a wonderful time staying at Lamorna."

The location was excellent, the children aged 15 and 11, enjoyed the facilities at the site. The lodge was well kept and thoughtful decorated. Super facilities in the kitchen. We would certainly book again in the future.

  • ". To be fair and transparent I want to start with the plus points. Fabulous location ( walking distance to lands end and Sennen beach) on a very small quiet park which I prefer"

. The kids play area was new. Cute little bar and cafe onsite. A mini pool which was great for family fun. The property also appears to have recently been partially renovated/ redecorated. Great new wardrobe space. 2 bathrooms which is great when you have kids. Air fryer in kitchen was a great kitchen addition. However there were a few issues that I think the property could improve.. the lounge has old wicker conservatory sofas which was not comfortable if you want to chill in the evening. The WIFI was terrible ( not great if you have kids who want to stay connected) and we struggled to get normal TV without connecting to our mobile data. When I raised this with the owner they were dismissive of the issue. I was advised to switch on and off which did not work. The lodge is also very close to the site bins which are not enclosed. We had a lot of flys when the windows were open which was essential due to the hot weather. This was also the experience of the caravan close to us. The beds in the second bedroom need replacing. Very old sunken mattresses. Overall had a lovely time. Just a few things to consider before booking.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your recent stay at Lamorna. We take on board your comments in relation to the furniture and bedding, both of which are being replaced during our closed season. In response to the Wi-Fi, we are sorry that your issue detracted from your enjoyment in the Lodge. All previous guests have not had any such problems. However, with no direct fibre connection, Wi-Fi is provided through mobile connectivity which can be less powerful. The site bins are regularly changed and I am assured the area is disinfected on a regular basis. Once again, thank you for your comments. Property Owner

SENNEN

Land’s End 1 mile; St Just 5 miles; Penzance 9 miles.

The most westerly village in mainland Britain, Sennen has a lovely mile-long beach of pure white sand and is a very popular holiday destination. With excellent surfing conditions, the village has its own surf school – overlooked by a super-cool beach bar/restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows which make the most of the wonderful views. Once a hub of smuggling activity, Sennen still retains many secret passages – one of which is said to lead to the covered well in the Old Success Inn. Largely unchanged over time, this lovely village has a timeless appeal and is home to a gallery, a medieval church, an Iron Age fort and a small selection of shops where you can buy beachware, gifts and souvenirs, and a range of groceries. There is also a weekly Farmers’ Market in the village Community Centre each Tuesday morning. During the summer, the beach bar becomes a hub of activity and entertainment, with live music, weekly barbecues and popular surfing competitions.

Please note: The shared swimming pool does not have a life guard and is only available during the peak summer season.

Please note: Dogs are not allowed on the furnishings
