  • "For a self catering property this was very poorly equipped."

We were left with a bottle of sparkling wine, which was appreciated but there was only one champagne flute. There was a small selection of glasses which were very poor indeed. There was no chopping board other than for bread, which was the the top of the bread bin. There was no bread knife. There was no cheese knife. The mugs we mismatched and of poor quality. One of the plates had a large chip on the edge. There were just three cereal bowls and there were just three desert spoons. This a great shame as the property is in an enviable position overlooking the beach and the sea. We stayed here in 2019 and it was much better equipped on that visit. Lastly the cleaning could have been better, there were huge cobwebs hanging from the living room ceiling and while we appreciate that it does have a high ceiling the cleaner should be provided with something to clean these away. We took up all these issues at the start of our stay with Sykes but nothing was done to correct any of the issues. We also called the cleaner and a message but we did not get the courtesy of a reply.

  • "We had an amazing time , what a gem , location is just the best."

Just hope its kept to the standard its in now, had trouble using the Sonos some instructions would have been helpful but we didn’t bother in the end, but that’s being picky. Very jealous of the owners its fantastic and thanks for letting us share

  • "Very comfortable and well designed property, but the incredible location is the real star attraction, being able to see the beach from every window and only be 30m walk from being on the sand - just incredible!"

  • "The property was fantastic."

It was very much a last minute booking and I am so pleased I found it. Ideally located, Sennen Cove was beautiful. The property was perfect, just what we wanted. It was clean and there were some 'treats' left for us. We will certainly be back. A little bit of other feedback - the sink in the bathroom took ages to drain and the shower over flowed! Not sure if the drains need a clear out. We could not use the Sonos as it need to be updated.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and we are pleased to hear that you had a fantastic holiday. As soon as the cleaners were aware of the issue you mentioned with the sink and shower they have taken action to resolve this. Property Owner

  • "We had an amazing stay."

The accommodation is the perfect size for 2 people. It has everything you need and more. The views are quite simply breathtaking. The only down side was, you had to wait for the hot water to heat up again for a second person to have a shower. We will definitely book to stay here again ❤️

We loved everything about the Old Beach store , the views are spectacular and the accommodations was comfortable with everything we needed . The local pub , fish and chip shop and general store were excellent and so convenient you can get everything you need without needing to travel . The walks from the door step in either direction are incredible. I would recommend everything about the cottage and the location . Thank you

  • "A fantastic location right on the front , you could do with making it clearer where the parking space is , it was very busy when we arrived on the saturday and the sign was obscured by people standing in front of it."

A table outside would be good as nowhere to sit and eat. Expensive but hopefully rates will be more realistic once the world settles down again

  • "The parking opposite the property was fantastic as it’s a busy carpark."

The house itself though small has everything you could possibly need, super comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. I really couldn’t fault it.

Very cosy and beautifully decorated accommodation/ comfy bed also. Parking right in front of property is excellent as accessible and no extra fees. Would love to return but too expensive looking at next year, very sad about this.

Location is amazing with sea views that you can stare at for hours. Even in a brief storm and windy autumnal weather the scenery is breathtaking. The flat is immaculately clean and well appointed. Bed is comfy, shower room superb. Everything you need.

  • "A great holiday location with a superb place to stay."

The Old Beach Store was well equiped, clean and the extra touches helped to make us feel very welcome. The COVID 19 posters helped to reassure us that care had been taken to ensure both our safety and that of the housekeepers. A lovely, well needed holiday.
