Close to several nice pubs that serve awesome food. Handy for Port Issac and Polzeath. Penny, the owner, was lovely and friendly, felt we had known her for ages. Definitely added to our revisit list thankyou for your lovely feedback, glad you had a lovely time Property Owner Reviewed by R5.0★Sep 2023 "It was good with everything you needed to make it a home from home." The sloping bedroom floors were unusual and took a bit of getting use to but it’s an ancient house so it’s bound to be quirky. It’s ideally suited for younger relatively fit families. If you have mobility issues I would not recommend. The weather was awful while we were there but it’s England and not the cottages fault . There were dvds with a fair selection mainly aimed at children which is what you want. The farm dogs do run free so just be prepared for them running in the lane and barking whenever you arrive or leave to go out. There’s a small garden area at the rear which is safe for your own dogs to use and a washing line which if the weather had been good would have been a real bonus, the aga was a great place to dry clothes and keep warm (it was a wet chilly week!). All in all an interesting well equipped property. Its about 1 mile from Port Isaac by car on foot you'd need stout walking shoes to trek over the fields. Reviewed by Susan5.0★Aug 2021 "The positives: the cottage was excellent and the owner couldn't have been more friendly or helpful." The negatives: road to the cottage was full of potholes and caused damage to our car and dogs run around freely and tended to poo where we were allocated parking. This resulted in an elderly member of our party treading in it when we returned home late as their was no lights and having to pick up the poo ourselves! Ignoring the negatives, the cottage itself was large and had everything we wanted. Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear of your positive comments. Unfortunately, there is little we can do regarding the condition of the road and the free-range animals, and this is something that comes with the Cornish countryside. We have spoken with the owner regarding the addition of outside lights but this would not be possible. Torches are provided for this reason. We can only apologise for this and hope you enjoyed you stay. Property Owner Reviewed by Paul4.1★Aug 2021 "The family that owned the cottage were very helpful and welcoming."
