  • "High Tide is a great lodge, with everything you could possibly need for a family break."

Everything is to a really high standard with a really generous living space. The only slight drawback is the wifi is a bit hit and miss as it's 4G. The Parkdean holiday park is ok with a decent pool. The arcade and restaurant, however felt a bit unloved. The shop prices were, as usual with these places, ridiculous.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

Very clean and comfortable, very well equipped. The downfall for us was the varanda the fencing had gaps, which our dog could actually get through because he was small .however, this was my own fault, not the owners. We still had a good holiday, including Barney .

  • "Hoover needs replacing."

Decking not dog proof. Otherwise excellent in every way!

Thank you for the feedback- we will certainly look at the vacuum cleaner asap. Thanks for letting us know. You must have a very adventurous dog! None of our family dogs has ever dared leap through and down but there’s always a first (and the occasional rabbits can be really tempting). So pleased that all other aspects were fine though. • "The lodge was very nice and well equipped apart from dodgy WiFi ."

The field was very peaceful . The advert didn’t make it clear it was on a rather large holiday camp; the pictures only show one field . The pool was the main reason for making this booking over other holiday let’s. So it was disappointing with very limited access to the pool !! I had to sleep on the floor after one night on the double bed as it really aggravated my bad back as the mattress is so soft! ( I realise some people may prefer this. )

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend High Tide as a great place to stay when visiting Cornwall and will definitely be returning. Thank you

This lodge is located in the Parkdean St Miniver site but with other lodges apart from the general park. This gives it a quieter more private feel. The accommodate was very comfortable with all the equipment you need for self catering even spare batteries for when the clock stopped:).It is an ideal location to visit Polzeath. The site also has a swimming pool and club house as additional activities. The lodge has a decked area infront and behind, so plenty of outside space with table and chairs.Parking is a few minutes from the property but you can park outside to drop off and pick up. I would recommend this property for a week away.Thanks. DB

Very comfortable stay. We loved that there was lots of storage space and the utility room and washing machine was so helpful after some muddy walks! Very well equipped kitchen and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of games and books provided as well as a rainy day box (which we luckily didn't need during our week's stay). Great base to explore Cornwall - lots of helpful brochures and maps also provided at the lodge. Will definitely be returning! Thank you!

Every thing that we could ever need and more were included in this lovely property. We enjoyed our walks along the beach from Rock to Portreath. We had a fantastic walk along the coastal path to Port Isaac, we visited Padstow once by road and once on the ferry from Rock. We also visited Mevagissy and the Lost Gardens of Heligan which were absolutely brilliant. Another day we did a coastal walk to Tintagel and later visited Bude which is lovely seaside town. All these places were in easy reach of High Tide. It was so nice to come home late in the afternoon to the warmth and comfort at High Tide. We hope to be back and have already started to tell out friends about it.

  • "I think High Tide was easily the best equipped holiday cottage we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in quite a few."

...). The beds were extremely comfortable; our 11 year old grandson loved having his own bathroom, and an en-suite to the main bedroom was very nice. The living area was extremely spacious, light and airy. A couple of small points for the maintenance team (they are NOT complaints, merely comments) - the mirror light in the en-suite bathroom does not work and the mother/daughter standard light in the living area needs a new bulb for the daughter light. The whole area is extremely quiet and peaceful, and we liked the fact that the shop/swimming pool etc. were close by, but far enough away not to mean there were loads of people wandering about in 'our' part of the site. The location is good, too. Only a couple of miles from Rock or Polzeath and loads of other places to visit within easy driving distance. Excellent all round - we were only there for three nights, but would have been happy to stay longer.

There is a lot of up to date information on places to visit and walks in the area, with good eatery recommendations - the owner has obviously thought of everything you could need to make for an enjoyable stay. Don't expect Wifi in the lodge, but it is freely available in the restaurant, so be prepared for this!
