  • "A lovely apartment that is well equipped."

    We had a great week here. It is easy to walk into Falmouth centre. Overlooks the lake and close to the beach. The property is finished to a good quality standard and provides soap and toiletries. Being really picky a bit more cutlery would be helpful to save washing up or putting on the dishwasher and a small tub chair or similar would be good in the living area. The scones and cream were very thoughtful along with the dog chew, bowls and mat. Would recommend and we would stay again.

  • "Lakeside exceeded our expectations in every way."

    The location was almost perfect ,just an easy flat walk to the beach and within reach of the centre of Falmouth. The property facilities were excellent, modern and extremely clean. There was adequate parking on the site and the owner was approachable ,helpful and available. We would recommended this property without reservation.

  • "Spent a week at Lakeside and what a fabulous find!"

    The accommodation is spotless, modern, comfortable and well equiped. It was particularly nice to be able to book this with our dog as we generally find that dog friendly accommodation isn't usually to this high standard. Chris was a friendly and welcoming host and the scones on arrival were a lovely touch. The property is in a great setting, next to the nature reserve and the wonderful Swanpool beach. The coastal path and the walk into Falmouth was great to have on our doorstep which meant there was little need for the car - which was great. I would highly recommend Lakeside to anyone wanting to stay in this fabulous part of Cornwall. Thank you Chris. Hopefully you'll see us again soon.

  • "We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Lakeside - we wish we had booked 7!"

    The apartment was beautifully appointed, very comfortable and the shower was amazing!! The scones were also very much appreciated. The location is perfect for walks, close enough to walk to Falmouth for food, and worked really well for us. The only niggle I would have is the lack of sound-proofing in the walls and floor above, BUT the owner did provide ear plugs which worked for me! Overall, we would highly recommend Lakeside.

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Lakeside, everything we needed was there."

    Our host Chris was great and he even provided us with some scones with jam and cream when we arrived which was a lovely surprise. The property is ideally located next to Swanpool Lake and Swanpool Beach (with a great beach cafe selling a wide selection of goodies!) for walks along the South Coast Path to other local beaches. We found it easy to get around to most places with the local bus so we could leave the car, and we found some great places to eat out, namely The Boathouse, Zest, Indidog, The Chain Locker to name but a few! There are a few National Trust properties and gardens within an easy drive and The Lizard is a must! We happened to arrive at Lakeside on the same weekend as the Shanty Festival which was excellent, an added bonus, very busy with visitors from far and wide. Thank you again to Chris for everything at Lakeside

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at lakeside, not only is it a great location right next to the lake and two beaches but the apartment was even more spacious than we expected."

    We thought leaving the dog treats in the bowl was a really good touch. Everything was very clean and had really good, quality facilities (like a great coffee machine). Absolutely would recommend this place and we would stay here again. Thank you

  • "A warm welcome, the cream tea was a really nice touch, so too the dog treat."

    The coffee machine was great. The property was absolutely spotless throughout with plenty of clear information and instructions, apart from what to do with recycling. A beautifully peaceful location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Absolutely everything you need is provided, including a lovely welcome pack. Situation is great being just a very short walk along to Swanpool beach and the coastal path. We hope to return in early 2025. Chris, the owner, lives on site and is super helpful. Thank you for a great stay

  • "We were extremely happy with everything about the holiday property."

    Chris was extremely welcoming and helpful and was always available in case we needed anything. The only drawback we found with our stay was that the bed was slightly uncomfortable but everything else was perfect.

It is a new bed and the mattress is medium/firm. As you can appreciate mattresses are a matter of preference and so may not be what you are used to within your own home.
