“We enjoyed a really great stay at Atlantic View and would highly recommend this charming accommodation to anyone wanting to explore this part of Cornwall.”

Tintagel is just down the road and with Padstow/Polzeath to the south and Bude to the north all within 30 minutes drive it makes the ideal base for exploring. The accommodation itself is a real joy with modern fitted bedrooms & bathroom on the ground floor while upstairs on the first floor the owners have maximised the stunning views by providing a wonderfully laid out open plan kitchen and living area. All self catering items are provided for (Cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, bedding, towels etc.) and the accommodation was spotlessly clean on arrival. The owner & caretaker were quick to respond to any queries we had which all in all gave us the perfect family stay!

The property

Atlantic View is one of a small group of cottages in the hamlet of Halgabron, set between the historic villages of Tintagel and Boscastle, within 10 minutes walk of the stunning North Cornwall coast.

From here you can walk to the sandy cove of Bossiney Haven via the spectacular Rocky Valley and cliff steps down to the beach below. As well as its own small garden and patio with views across the fields to the sea, Atlantic View shares with its neighbours a large lawned play area with picnic tables and BBQ.

The cottage is cleverly arranged in a reverse style to take full advantage of the superb views.

The first floor living/kitchen/diner is contemporary, stylish and fully open plan.

Glazed doors lead to twin Juliet balconies, perfect for admiring the ever changing seascape just outside, and for those out of season breaks, the large wood burning stove adds extra warmth.

On the ground floor are three bedrooms, a double and a bunk bedded room both with sea views, a second double room and a family bathroom.

About the location

Camelford 6 miles; Wadebridge 12 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the SW Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and in 2.5 miles is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow and the Camel Estuary are all within a 40-minute drive.
