"The property was a bit "tired" and not overly clean."
The towels had stains on them - what looked like a "used" towel was left hanging on the back of the kids bedroom door. Hair and dust was clearly visible in most of the drawers and the kids wardrove was stuffed full of random stuff. It was only me there, so it wasn't a problem for me - I left everything in my suitcase. There was a lot of dust and dirt on the skirting boards where furnature existed (I don't think the cleaners are moving furnature to clean behnind or underneath. ) And, there were crumbs on the floor and on the coffee table. It just felt a bit run down and not overly clean. The site itself is very tired and run down too. It's not somewhere I would return but it was a good base for exploring Cornwall.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I am really sorry the property was not as clean or well presented as it should have been. The issues you mentioned including the stained towel, dust in drawers, crumbs left behind, and areas not being cleaned properly are completely unacceptable, and I apologise that this impacted your stay.
I have passed this on to the cleaning team so it can be addressed immediately, and a full deep clean will be carried out to prevent this happening again.
I also appreciate your comments about the wider site feeling tired, and I am sorry this affected your overall impression.
Thank you again for letting me know. Your feedback is genuinely appreciated and helps me improve things for future guests.

"32 Trevithick was the perfect bolt hole for our late summer holiday, as it is in easy reach of many of our favourite places to visit."
I would highly recommend this property to anyone who appreciates a comfortable place to rest up after taking in the sites and sounds of the toe end of Cornwall.

"This is a really lovely and well equipped holiday home, great location as a base, close to many local sites and the beautiful Hayle beach."
Check in and out was easy, the house was very clean with everything you'd need. Welcome pack was a little extra a d greatly appreciated.
We stayed slightly out of season and had no issues with parking nearby.
The only negatives were the small freeze door is broken, so falls off. The master bed and small double bed mattresses including pillows are so hard and uncomfortable. If you like a hard bed, then this won't bother everyone.
If I stayed again, I'd need to bring mattress toppers and my own pillows. Other than those small things, it's a brilliant place thank you.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found the house clean, well-equipped, and in a great location for exploring the area. We're glad the welcome pack and smooth check-in added to your positive experience.
We really appreciate your honest comments guest comfort is very important to us, and your feedback helps us improve. We'll be looking into the issues to see what can be done to make future stays even better.
It’s great to hear that despite those points, you still found it a brilliant place to stay. We'd love to welcome you back again in the future!

"32 Trevithick is a superbly presented rental cottage, with everything supplied to make your stay thoroughly enjoyable."
General décor is very good and the lighting offers many differing schemes that cover everything you might need.
Furniture and beds in 32 are really comfortable, and the under floor heating adds that special touch when you get up in the morning and take a shower, but equally keeps the ambient temperature just right.
All of the essentials elements, the hob, the oven, the washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, bathing and showering facilities are like new and kept spotless by the owners and cleaning staff.
Lots of wardrobes and drawer space lets you space out your clothes across all three bedrooms.
Bathrooms are light, airy and well maintained, with an upstairs bath/toilet, whilst the downstairs bathroom has a really lovely shower room and toilet.
Externally, the décor at 32 is kept to a high standard and offers chairs to sit outside at the front, and picnic style benches to the rear.
The grassy area's are kept neat and tidy which adds to the overall look and appeal at the complex.
The owner/s are attentive to any issues and are really lovely... nothing seems too much trouble.
32 Trevithick was a rare find, and can be summed up as a fantastic place to spend R&R time, whilst exploring Cornwall, or for just chilling and letting the world go by.
A BIG Thank You to Gareth and Family!

"Well maintained property but overall it was inadequate for the price!"
Shower is just on downstair with small tub upstairs and water was only lukewarm all the time, Wi-Fi hardly works downstairs, parking is limited and not easily accessible, checkout was unpleasant as they started bothering us an hour before the check out time!!

It was clean and tidy, the beds were beautiful and very comfortable. The underfloor heating was amazing to have under the feet in the mornings too!
The man looking after 32 trevithick was absolutely spot on with attending to issues within the property and they were addressed promptly, replying to messages even on Sunday!
Would highly recommend and will definitely be looking to stay here again!

"This is a lovely lodge with everything needed for a family stay."
Plenty of crockery etc, excellent washing machine and the beds are so comfortable. Decor is modern and lodge is well laid out and comfortable. Free passes were also provided for use of the on site pool and, bar and club. Our only issues were, another family had somehow managed to enter the lodge before us then realised they had the wrong lodge, we still do not know how they did this as the keys were locked in the key coded box on our arrival. Thankfully they had realised before using any facilities or beds. we had no Wi-Fi all week until on the last night my son noticed the Wi-Fi box had been unplugged in the rear bedroom. We did not know about the immersion heaters for hot water and had to rummage through a pile of leaflets to find the lodge instruction manual which seems a little out of date and should be made more easily available. The provided clothes airer was broken, we managed with just the lower section but the bars had broken to fully extend it. Overall these were minor issues that did not spoil our holiday and can easily be rectified. We would definitely book again.

"Could not fault the accommodation the only drawback was the use of the on site facilities."
The listing gave the impression that we could have free use but when we arrived we were told that we would have to pay extra for a facilities pass. When we queried this at reception we were told to "take it up with the owner". We, of course, had no direct dealings with the property owner and had to go through Sykes. We gave up in the end and amused ourselves elsewhere.
Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear you had trouble with the pass for the facilities. The owner does pay for the pass for the property and will check with reception that they are still handing out passes in the normal way. We hope to see you back soon.

"We had a lovely week at this beautifully appointed house."
Decorated to a very high standard and has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The property owner was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating towards our need for medical equipment being delivered to site. This was hugely appreciated by us and took the stress of travelling away.
The park is small and quiet, but clean and tidy with some facilities. Parking sometimes a little difficult when coming back late but could be found somewhere on the park. The park would benefit from marking out parking bays to aid this.
Beach access locally is very steep but easy beach access nearby by The Bluff Inn - pay & display.
All in all a lovely, well located, beautiful base for your Cornish holiday.

Fully equipped for a self catering holiday. Great location to tour. Didnt realise it was on a John Fowler site, but a pleasant surprise, able to use on site facilities, given the younger party members some independance. Only down side being we couldnt access property till 5pm, and had to be out by 9am - even though booking stated 10am.
Would definitely return!

"Spec of house is lovely."
Clean and tidy, literally everything you need included, and well placed for visiting other parts of Cornwall. Not so keen on the holiday park which is more suited for young families. Just not our thing.
Only issue was WiFi but depends how much you need it (as it was Covid tried to prebook train, restaurants, etc but was difficult. Only way to best the competing WiFi networks around was to get online early!)
