"We stayed at Aaron’s Cottage as a multi-generational family of nine and had a really special holiday together."
There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and we especially loved the two cosy wood burners, the lovely shower and bath in the main bathroom, and the large field and trampoline which were a big hit with the kids (and the dog loved the field too!).
However, when we arrived the cottage was very cold as all the heating had been turned off. With electric storage heaters it took quite a while to warm up, and even the Aga wasn’t on properly at first, which made the first day a bit chilly. The house could also really benefit from a deep clean — while the beds and main surfaces were fine, areas needing more thorough attention looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in some time. The en-suite bath has seen better days and wasn’t very clean either.
A few things to be aware of: there are some big drops in the garden (so keep an eye on little ones), the hot tub on site isn’t for guest use, parking is quite tight, and the trampoline and downstairs master bed both need some TLC — the mattress in particular could do with replacing.
All that said, we still had a wonderful family holiday — because in the end, it’s the people you’re with that make it special. With a bit more warmth and care, Aaron’s Cottage could be a truly lovely place to stay.
Thank you for taking the time to share a review from your stay at Aaron's Cottage. We are so pleased you enjoyed a wonderful family holiday. We do apologise that the heating was not switched on ahead of your stay - the issues you raised have now been addressed for future stays; thank you for bringing this to our attention. "The only reason I haven’t given this accommodation 5 stars is for two minor points really."
There were no matches, kindle and fire lighters to light the log burner and the tv was old and we kept losing the picture (not the sound) so in the end we used the portable tv from the snug. Apart from that no complaints at all and thanks for a great stay.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are pleased to hear you had a great stay. The items raised are shared with the managed service team and the owner. We hope to welcome you back in the future - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner.

"The last road/drive is not suitable for all cars."
The cottage name differs at the property from the listing. Welcome package to be just a few cleaning samples was odd, when a pint of milk would be much appreciated. The log basket was spot on.
The cleanliness of the property; floor was ok but many areas had deep dust, webs and grease on kitchen lights and the general look of not being thoroughly cleaned in a very long time.
Thank you for your feedback. The cottage name is Aaron's Cottage with first address line; Treburgett. The property is in a rural location often considered as part of the appeal, and generally cars can access the property very easily. We do supply a starter pack of cleaning items as the cottage is self catering. All comments are shared with our managed service team and the owner. Best wishes - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner.

"It wold be good if you used what3words to give its location as it took us ages to find and an update of the sign better sited would also help."
Although we had 3 cars the parking was difficult and the road to very poor a note to advise only 2 cars would be good.
The place itself was amazing as were the facilities
Thanks for a great place to stay

"To many spiders in the property, the bedroom with a double bed and single bed was to small for three people it was too hot , plus the beds sloped !"
Thank you for your feedback. The bedroom with a single and a double bed is advertised as being for two people, not three. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit; and managed to enjoy the character of the house. It sounds as if you had sun during your visit! We’d love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future.

"Great location
Lots of space and equipment for large group the 2 dishwashers were a game changer!"
!
A really comfortable stay for us. I would like to bring to your notice that a
couple of the the toilet seats weren’t fixed securely and could really do with another dustbin as only one for the property and no recycling facilities apart from glass
But we had a great week as a family so thank you

"We had a fantastic stay."
The cottage is gorgeous. You feel relaxed as soon as you come through the door. Dog friendly with a garden and field for a dog to let off steam.
The outside could do with some maintenance. Lots of leaves left over from the autumn made the path very slippery, so watch your step. It is so dark, a torch is a must for returning at night.
We would love to return again if there is ever any availability during a school holiday. The two teachers were gutted that they had to leave after two nights!!
Thank you for you kind comments, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back very soon.

"Nice cottage, a few supplies in the kitchen would have been lovely."
Hot water ran out. Field was a bonus.
Thank you for your comments, and so glad you enjoyed the three acre field! For next time, the hot water is very easy to top up on the rare times needed - just need to press the switch.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aaron's cottage."
The property felt like home-away-from-home. It was pretty, spacious, warm and comfortable. Plenty of amenities to keep us occupied on days we didn't venture out. We will definitely book the facility again. The only drawback was the remote location of the cottage which made it difficult for to visit places as we didn't have our own car. The Go Cornwall buses did not run on Sunday and bank holidays, but the local people went out of their way to help us. Some of them even dropped us to our destinations when they saw us walking along the road. Very kind people, and they were the best part of the visit. If there is a possibility to hire cycles that will be very helpful for people who do not have their own cars. Taxis are available for booking at least 1 day in advance. Overall, I will recommend Aaron's property to anyone looking for a calm and safe holiday in Cornwall with family and friends.
So glad you enjoyed it and we look forward to welcoming you back. A car definitely helps - it’s just over two miles from the coast as the crow flies (but we’re not crows!). Just ask for info on local car hire or bike hire firms.
