  • "A perfect base for 2 and a dog walking the SW Coast Path."

Location very near to coast path and completed St Ives to Landsend on our weeks stay with little time spent in the car. Well equipped property with everything provided and welcome cream tea on arrival. Smallish patio area to rear but sufficient for us. The only point I would say is if you want to sit outside (which we didn't do that much as we were out most of the day) take a couple of more comfy chairs. Apart from that small point cannot fault this property as it was very reasonable for a weeks stay in May. Paul Dee and Brooke the dog.

  • "It is very compact but we expected that and everything in there was good quality and clean."

The welcome pack was very good especially for the dog but we found the sofa very uncomfortable which could be us. The bed though was very comfortable. Our biggest problem was the bathroom which we found very cold and specifically the shower which even on the highest setting was barely warm. Also the outdoor space was neglected and full of weeds. Although no sea view it was an easy 25 minute walk to a sensational stretch of coast. If the shortcomings could be corrected it would be a lovely little bolt hole

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that you found everything was of good quality and clean. However, we were disappointed that you chose to score only 50% for cleanliness when you stated it was clean. We pride ourselves in how we present all our properties and they are clean to a very high standard. The sofa, in your opinion, being uncomfortable is subjective and if we get any other complaints we will look to change it as this is the first time it has been brought to our attention. The bathroom has a heater which when used keeps the ambient temperature very comfortable. We also subsequently checked the shower and it works fine. We have had no other complaints. With regards to the courtyard, it is of brick design and only has a few pots and is not neglected. Finally it would have been nice for you to have contacted us about any issues and we would have been more than happy to assist you rather than leaving it till after your stay was over and giving us the only poor review. Thank you. Property Owner

  • "Great little find - short walk to the sea."

We took a dog and the owners had thought of everything - even lunchboxes! Easy to find from what3words and the brochure info was a nice touch!

  • "We loved our week in this warm and cosy property."

It was very well-equipped. The shower room and the kitchen facilities were first-class and the bed was very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and very welcoming - even the sun tried its hardest most days. We know this area pretty well so we were delighted with the location of this property. It's straightforward to walk into St Just for a coffee and it's well situated to walk out onto the coastal path: many thanks.

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
