Lovely property, everything that you could need for your stay thought of.

We enjoyed are stay very much.The only negative point in our stay was the dog odour when we arrived.We don't have a dog ourselves so probaly we are not used to it but it was very obvious to us especially in the bedroom.

My parents stayed at this cottage for a week and they absolutely loved it !

Very tidy, impeccably clean ! As a retired cleaner my mother was absolutely impressed with how clean it was ! Definitely 10/10 for a lovely get away! About 10 minutes walk to a local pub ! And just a little longer to the shops ! Such a lovely location ! Thank you

A small but very well equipped property in a beautiful area, very near to St Just which has some great options for eating.

It had everything we needed and was perfect for two people and a dog. The dog equipment and the welcome wine was much appreciated. Great location for visiting Cape Cornwall, Porthcurno and Lands End plus the beautiful Trethwidden gardens in Penzance. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The cottage was very well appointed and very comfortable.

Fabulous location and only a short walk to the pub which does excellent food. The dog treats, throw and towels were an added bonus. Five Degrees West…..360° perfect!!

This is a compact property, but it is like Dr Who's TARDIS.

On first entering you're greeted by a large kitchen area and sittting room. The bedroom has a very comfortable double bed, with side tables, and wardrobe and dresser. We required accessible facilities and, the large shower tray and roomy toilet area were more than adequate. We were even able to use our extra large shower chair. Although this is a dog friendly property, we don't have a dog and we found no trace of previous dogs. This is a well appointed, accessible property, with a lovely kitchen and very friendly, non-intrusive owners. We had 2 weeks, over our 21st Anniversary, and thoroughly enjoyed it. A return visit to this property and it didn’t disappoint.

Delightful accommodation.

Small but perfect for us and our dog. Very clean, comfortable and well appointed and the addition of a Christmas tree as well as the wine, scones and flowers was a pleasant surprise. Super dog friendly with all the thoughtful extra little touches - the treats were particularly appreciated. All in all one of the nicest properties we've stayed in, we'd certainly recommend and return.

Cosy cottage in a good location

I felt at home as soon as I walked in.

Clean, bright and homely. Beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed for a lovely stay. The bed pulls up at the end with good storage for cases etc. We only discovered on the last day the comfy sofa goes up for your legs. So many thoughtful touches by the owners Adam & Vickie. They have thought of everything. The scones, jam and wine on arrival was a wonderful surprise. Also dog biscuits, bowls and towels for our little dog. They You can see the sea from the bedroom window in the distance. It is so peaceful there. Discovering the Botallack mines within walking distance with our little dog was just amazing. Such an interesting area with so many great places to visit within a short distance. I would recommend Sennen Cove. Beautiful beach. You can walk to Lands End from there. Cape Cornwall, Zennor with St Senara’s church and the famous Mermaid chair and great pub The Tinners Arms, Geevor tin mine and the town of St Just. Great shops in St Just. I bought everything I needed in Stones fruit and veg and the butchers shop. We also had the best Cornish pastie I’ve ever had in K & D McFadden. We had a wonderful holiday staying here and we would definitely come back. Note: The roads are a bit narrow getting to the property but they are very quiet and we found the best road was the one you take a right turn from the drive when leaving the property.

We had a few days away in St Just and this cottage was ideal, comfy, clean and the coastal path at the end of the lane.

Local cafes and pubs get busy even mid week in mid September.

I wouldn't normally say anything but you have asked for feedback.

This is the second time we have stayed at the property the first time was absolutely spot on for us that's why we chose to go back. I am sorry to say that the bedding/mattress had a stale sweat/dog smell to it that was very overpowering so we ended up sleeping on top on the duvet every night. The sink in the bathroom was very slow to drain the water away and the shower base had grime around it. The kettle had a very strong bleach taste to it although having rinsed it out numerous times so we drank milk coffee's from the microwave. I don't like to leave bad reviews but I feel these problems need addressing.

A perfect property in a perfect location.

The owners were really helpful with great local knowledge and advice. The property was really well equipped and extremely clean . Even our dog was catered for . The welcome pack was so thoughtful as was the wine and flowers. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Five Degrees West provided everything we needed for a relaxing holiday.

Within walking distance of St Just and a short driving distance to all the areas main attractions, it was the ideal location. Extremely peaceful, just birdsong to listen to during the day and amazing sunsets in the evening. Dark skies at night meant we could star watch coming home from a visit to The Queens Arms pub about a 15 minutes walk away. Generous welcome pack which was very thoughtful. Cottage was well equipped with good quality kitchenware. Owners were helpful when had a question but never intrusive. Would thoroughly recommend and happily return.

Fantastic place to stay.

Extremely clean. Very quiet area that is ideal as a walking base from the door both for the coast path and for circular walks. Lovely welcoming pack given too. Highly recommend. Definitely want to return.

Very comfortable house for a couple staying for a week.

Great parking also. House was extremely clean and tidy on arrival, and was a very comfortable stay. Can get a little cold in the bathroom, although our stay was during the winter months, so no fault there. Very cosy, and an enjoyable holiday away!

The owners are lovely and we had a lot of delicious welcoming items.

The place itself is in a very quiet area but you have to go through some narrow lanes to get there. The living area is very very small and the bedroom is too , the bathroom and kitchen are a good size but the place to sit out is very limited.

A super little cottage, exactly as described.

Everything you could think of was provided. An ideal base to explore the local area, with plenty of walks and pubs nearby in St Just, along with a Co-op and cafes. A lovely touch were some flowers on arrival, along with a bottle of wine and a cream tea. We highly recommend this cottage.

Our 2nd time staying here, just as last time it was just perfect for us and our lab.

It has everything you need. Lovely and quiet but not far from St Just. The Queens Arms pub nearby does delicious food and they are so friendly. We will definitely be back for a 3rd visit.

Lovely place and excellent value.

The generous welcome of scones and cream, wine and milk was a nice touch. Only suggestions would be to provide better information about local walks especially for those with dogs. Facilities fine, but the TV was temperamental.

We have just spent the most peaceful ,relaxing two weeks at five degrees west.

We fell in love with the little cottage, everything you could wish for is provided along with wine, scones, clotted cream, fresh flowers and treats for our little dog. All very much appreciated. We would recommend this cottage without reservation. Thank you so much

Lovely property had everything we needed and more

The property was beautifully clean, very well equipped, and a good location for walks.

The welcome pack was delightful, for us and Gracie.

The owners were there if you needed them, and did help us get to the property when roadworks had closed one end, which was nice.

Appreciated the way the property has been fitted out to a good standard - it was nice to come back to after a day out. They have thought through and provided everything you may need. The welcome treats were a thoughtful touch and enjoyed! Great location for the local old mining area, and Queens Arms was a great pub a short walk away - drink and food were excellent. We kept our dog out of the bedroom - too nice to spoil it. The outside sitting area was smaller than we imagined from photos.

Everything you could think of in the property for our convenience. So quiet and the view of the sea in the distance was a real bonus. Local town close by and lovely Sennen Cove just a short drive away. The weather was kind all week, we had a fabulous relaxed break and would definitely book again. Thank you.

Accommodation perfect for a couple and dog, looking for escapism in a beautiful part of the UK with wonderful walks.

Modern, clean, warm and well equipped. Hosts are on site but not imposing but available if required and we’re very helpful. Location perfect for quiet retreat, pub and coast in walking distance. Perfect for visits to Lands End and west Cornwall, beautiful areas. Price value for money. Welcome pack generous and a lovely surprise. I have recommended to friends and one has already booked. Hi, the bathroom was a little cold for my wife, as only had a heated towel rail in, apart from that, absolutely lovely, thanks for everything, also a wake up call from the cows lol, a short walk to B'ttalick, the horse in the field next door took a shine to my wife .

Quiet location, good for accessing South west coastline and valleys, with dogs and great birdwatching.

Lovely little property, perfect for 2 and our dog (who was very well catered for).

Lovely peaceful location. We were very happy and couldnt fault it but unfortunately due to a family emergency we had to return home after just 2 days. But would certainly consider returning if holidaying in the area again.

Immaculately clean property with every facility provided you could possibly need right down to 2 dog towels, water bowls a jar of biscuits and a special packet of treats.

A very very generous welcome tray as well and when I failed to get the foot rest on the chair to work almost as soon as I had phoned the owner for help there was a knock on the door. Lovely and caring couple Thank you. Loved it.

The property is small but perfectly formed!

Ideal for a couple and has everything you need provided for a lovely break. It was spotlessly cleaned and very well furnished. There was a welcome gift and the owner was very considerate as came to apologise the wi fi was down when we arrived and knocked with a fan on a very warm evening. You can walk to the local pub which does good food but the town of St Just is a bit further. Lovely accommodation.

Stunning views from the cottage There was some work going on next door to us but it didn't really bother us as we were out exploring this beautiful part of cornwall. So much to see and do here, highly recommend The Minack Theatre, Mousehole, Gwynver Beach, Chysauster Ancient Village are all worth a visit. We would return here in the future with out a doubt

A short walk to a fantastic coast line. Safe parking off road. Very well equipped with everything and more you will need for a break. Nice sunny outside area in the morning and later pm. A great setup and location for our week away and we were very pleased with the facilities, the cleanliness and we would most definitely recommend the property to other holiday makers.

We hope to come down again at some point and your property will be seriously considered should we come to stay in the St Just area.

We had a lovely time at Five degrees west, the property was as described clean and comfortable for both us and our dog, it does have quite a small enclosed garden, however there are a couple of fields 50 yards up the country lane for your dog to burn off some energy.

We were welcomed with chocolates, wine and scones with clotted cream and jam which my wife especially made short work of, unnecessary gifts but very thoughtful. This is definitely a perfect spot for peace and quiet and perfectly central for travelling to all the coastal towns. We would definitely consider this property when visiting Cornwall again.

This isa lovely property, quality furnishings, the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need,we loved the welcome gifts especially the dog ones,alot of thought has gone into this property, in an area of outstanding beauty with lots of lovely places to visit, would highly recommend

This was by far the best holiday cottage we’ve stayed in.

It was beautifully decorated, everything you needed to hand (we knew no washing machine and so we’re prepared) and the welcome pack was awesome and much appreciated! It’s an amazing conversion job, well done to the builder. Great location too with sea views, ideal for coastal walking and even better to have a friendly pub with great food in a short walking distance! I was worried about the smaller bed (my husband is 6ft 7) but it wasn’t a problem at all. If we could change one thing it would be to have had a memory foam topper as the bed was a bit too firm for us. But that’s being nit picky and you are never going to please everyone all of the time. We were sad to leave and longing to return already!

Started off so well, cottage way above our expectations.

Spotlessly clean, quiet, well laid out with everything we could possibly need. Until Wednesday afternoon when we returned after lunch to a flat back scaffolding lorry parked sideways on our drive. We had to cram on drive best we could. As we like to settle down in the afternoon, this became impossible as the men with lorry began noisily unloading and erecting scaffolding poles, we were also very concerned as our car was right up against the lorry and it was unsettling our dog who went into sentry mode barking/pacing. We said nothing thinking it was a one off but on returning Thursday afternoon there was the lorry, 2 men, more poles and a radio! Again had to cram car on! Got in touch with Sykes who were immediately very understanding but totally unaware of any building work taking place on the property saying they would contact the owners. We heard nothing more from Sykes, the scaffolders continued but turned the radio off! It was too much for us so we packed up and left! At no time did the owner get in touch to inform us the lorry would be there cause had we have known we could have arranged our days so we stayed out longer. In fact had we have known there was building work being undertaken we wouldn’t have booked! We came away for peace and quiet, we didn’t get it! Not booking with Sykes again as it appears they think more of their property owners than the people who book with them. Such a shame, lovely property!

Coffee pods and machine, nice bottle of wine, clotted cream and lovely vase of flowers. Well equipped and clean. The TV did puzzle us a bit but who goes on holiday to watch TV?

We were grateful for the instant attention the cottage received when we raised issues.

The whole thing was superb. The double bed was standard size (4' 6") which we find difficult, but that's only our preference. A larger one would not fit in! Would certainly recommend it for a couple.

Great little property ,ideal location for the South West Coast path ,Queens Arms pub 5 mins down the road outstanding on 2 counts the welcome and the food , If i was being picky would suggest a further radiator in the main living area as it was cold at times in the evening but then again it was February great holiday .

Lovely welcome pack of goodies kindly left for our arrival. The owners had thought of everything that might be needed in a holiday cottage and it was spotlessly clean. We took our dog and there were bowls, towels, throws and even biscuits provided. We had a very enjoyable week and would highly recommend Five Degrees West to others.

This was our first stay here and although small, it has everything you need.

The furnishings and kitchen are all good quality and the cottage was very comfortable to stay in. Excellent position, with just a 15 minute walk to the coastal path and historic mines. The little courtyard is very small, but has the sun all day and is sheltered from the wind. We really appreciated the fresh cream, scones, jam, wine and fresh flowers. Owner also texted us when the cottage was ready, as it was before the arrival time.

Excellent holiday cottage, very clean and well equipped.

Bed very comfortable. Only criticism would be that the sofa being a sofa bed is not over comfortable otherwise would highly recommend and we would love to come back.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation, we would definitely recommend and revisit, ideal location for touring the west of Cornwall, we really enjoyed walking in to the accommodation and finding a bottle of wine, scones with jam and cream, milk in the fridge, also all the treats for our boy Benson (who smelt them straight away being a Ladrador ) the fresh flowers was a lovely touch, well designed and great colour palette

This was the cleanest and most well equipped cottage we have stayed in yet.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The position of the cottage was perfect for us.

Good location, good for a dog with blankets, bowls and treats left for them.

Lovely bottle of wine to welcome you to the cottage too. The cottage has pretty much everything you will need to cook any meal too. Lovely set up for a couple to enjoy and holiday and if we were planning to visit Cornwall again I wouldn't hesitate to book this cottage again.

Everything that you could think of was provided for even down to doggie treats, bowls and towels for drying after a swim. Thank you for the lovely welcome pack of wine, flowers and scones with clotted cream and jam, much appreciated.Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Small courtyard to sit and pass away an hour or two. If you like peace and quiet then this is the place for you. Would not hesitate to recommend.

great central point for most destinations of interest

The cottage was well equipped with everything that a couple would need for a holiday.

Marley and Buddy (my dogs) had treats and bowls left for them. The cottage is ideal for visiting West Cornwall and is in easy reach of a number of gardens and other visitor attractions including Lands End and Geevor Mine. Two dog friendly cafes were the Front Room in Penzance, which brought water and treats for the dogs, and the Rock Pool Cafe in Mousehole. The Old Coastguard Hotel also welcomes dogs and does a great pint of lager on a hot day.

The property was in a lovely location with a lovely welcome pack.

The furnishings, appliances and decor were all too a very high standard. When we return to Cornwall, we will definitely stay there again. Brilliant, would recommend to anyone who wants a quiet location.

Everything about it was perfect. The owners had gone the extra mile in decorating it for Christmas, and they left us a wonderful welcome pack including flowers, Prosecco, luxury chocolates and a Cornish Cream tea! There was also a lovely welcome pack for our little dog Sidney. We couldn’t have wished for more from this lovely place. I shall definitely recommend 5 Degrees West to friends and family! The perfect mini break away!

It was exactly the relaxing treat we needed and not too far away at all from St Ives, St michaels Mount and Land’s End. A lovely trip and we can’t wait to return!

This is a credit to the owners, perfection for us (5*) Perfect for exploring the South & North coast. There is a Coop, Chinese and a chippy in St Just just a 5 minute drive or you can walk. We certainly would recommend staying here, and hopefully we will be coming back for our third time in the near future.

All beautifully clean and well fitted out.My only negative would be that we found the mattress rather uncomfortable,the springs noisy and lumpy as you turn over... really needs a good quality topper. Everything else was amazing.

We had a wonderful two weeks at this excellent holiday home at St Just.

We were welcomed by wine, clotted cream, jam and scones. The cottage was spotlessly clean, exceptionally well equipped, and perfecty positioned for walks to the nearby coast. We hope to return as soon as we are able!

We could not have wished for anything better.

All the walks were so handy ,trips to nearby towns great. The addition of the coffee machine excellent.For me a set of scales helped me to work out my diabetic meals as they should be not just guessing .Even the dog was so well catered for,could not fault any thing.

On arrival we had been left a cream tea, bottle of wine & there were flowers in a vase which gives it that personal touch.

Peppa (the dog) loved her treats that had also been left. Accommodation had everything you could needed and more. It was the perfect location to be able to relax but also within walking distance to coastal paths, shops and places to eat. We will definitely go back. Denise, Dave & Peppa the dog

Exceptional little barn conversion.

Perfect for the 2 of us and Jasper the dog. Everything you could need and more, and the icing on the cake a very thoughtful welcome gift of flowers, wine and scones with jam and cream...yummy! The owners have thought of everything, and the cottage is very dog friendly, which is a rare thing. It's certainly a credit to the owners. Very clean, modern and cosy. Also, no intrusion what's so ever from the owners but always knowing that if we did have a problem then they would be there. Fantastic coastal walks just a 10 minute Walk from the barn to Botallack, making your way to Cape Cornwall and Pendeen Light house, or taking a longer breathtaking walk to Sennen Cove along the coastline and beyond. St Just is just a 15/20 minute walk or free carparking a 5 minute drive. Everything you could need from a Co-op, Fish and chips, Chinese, bakery and more. We cannot praise the owners enough, you will not be disappointed. We are certainly going to be booking the cottage again for next year ( Only if the owners, Adam and Vickie would have us!). The dog loves it and we were over the moon. Many thanks for making our stay perfect. It's a little gem of a place.

A very well thought out conversion that makes the best use of space, ideal for a couple and a medium sized dog.

The accommodation is well equipped; we could easily self cater and eat out should we wish. The owners are very welcoming and dog friendly. The position balanced a secluded, quiet location with a 20 minute walk into St Just which was just right for us, others might prefer to trade peace for a closer location to the town. On a clear night the views of the Scilly Isles are spectacular.

Really clean, all you need and amazing welcome gifts. The area is amazing and loads of things to do. We will be back!

Five degrees west is an exceptional little cottage, very clean very comfortable & the owners couldn’t have been more helpful with their local knowledge they made our stay very enjoyable.

If I had any criticism it would be that the cottage had Wi-fi but no data connection, as we had never explored this area before it would have been helpful to to look up places on the internet to see what there was when traveling around. Only a little criticism but it would have made a huge difference

Everything we needed was on hand and we even got to the cottage and there had been. Some flowers left with a cream tea and some treats for the dog! It was such a great welcome for us when travelling over 5 hours! The area was great and there were lots of amenities close by for us and our little doggy! Thank you for such a wonderful holiday!

This property although small was very well fitted out.

The kitchen area was great and there was everything you needed in the way of kitchen equipment.Everything was spotlessly clean and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and provisions for a cream tea. The cottage was in an excellent position for exploring this part of Cornwall.Our car stayed parked until we left as the buses were so good to use and there was a bus stop within less than 10 mins walk. During the week we managed to see a lot of the area including Land's End, Sennen Cove and three excellent tin mines.We travelled up to St.Ives to visit the Tate gallery and also went to the Telegraph Museum in Porthcurno.The National Trust gardens at Tregwainton were beautiful,well worth a visit. We hope to return to this area again and probably to this cottage.

It was small and compact and had everything that you could wish for.

A lot of thought had been made to make it really comfortable, plenty of cupboard space and a really decent size shower, very welcome after a day out. Not far from the coastline and the wonderful rugged cliffs. Would definitely use again.

The accommodation although small, was incredibly well thought out, extremely comfortable, clean and located in a very peaceful location.

We stayed at Five Degrees West for 4 nights for our mini moon.

It is in a beautiful and quiet location, extremely clean and well equipped and 10 minutes walk from the local pub The Queens Head which serves delicious food. The owners left us a little welcome gift of fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and a cream tea which was very lovely and much appreciated. The cottage is also a 5 minute drive or 20 - 30 minute walk from St Just which has another great pub, an amazing fish and chip shop, a co-op, butchers and bakery. The location is excellent to get around much of Southern Cornwall, much of which was reachable within 30 - 45 minutes. Around the cottage there is local coastal walks, Old mining sites and beaches very nearby. We would definitely stay again, and would highly recommend staying here.

The property was very clean and what a lovely wellcome pack such a lovely bunch of tulips a little surprised we did not hear anything from the owners weather could have been a little kinder to us.

A lovely surprise welcome with fresh flowers , clotted cream scones and wine ! It was all so thoghtfully prepared with extra treats for our dogs ! We had A fabulous week and would totally recommend this cottage.

We found the location perfect for dog walking and the accommodation was clean and tidy and also very considerate to our dog, supplying dog towels and bowls.

Five Degrees West was perfect for our short trip to Cornwall to see in the new year.

A great surprise upon arrival for the bottle of prosecco, a vase of cut flowers, a packet of dog treats for our dog and the scones with jam and clotted cream was enjoyed by all. Overall the accommodation was excellent, with everything we needed. Ideally located whether for dog walking or touring the area by car. It is as advertised a cosy bolthole and thoroughly enjoyed.

The cottage was above expectations with the welcome hamper and decorated for christmas, unfortunately the weather was not helping and we cut our holiday short because of it.

5 Degrees West is perfect for two people and its location is perfect for walking and visiting places by car.

Very well equipped and flowers, cream tea and a bottle of wine a very welcome treat. Also a very peaceful location, the odd passing car ( bliss!) and the lovely sound of the horses trotting by. Highly recommend this Cottage to anyone looking for peace, walking and beautiful countryside and coast.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week away at five degrees didn't want to leave I will be using you again for our holidays next year and have already told my friends about you

All modern amenities and in lovely surroundings.

The little touches like dog towels and dog treats were really nice, and the coffee machine for the human guests was great too, perfect after a long walk on the coast path.
