  • "The lodge proved to be all it promised."

    It was well equipped and provided all we needed for our stay. The site was thoughtfully planned out so that the lodge wasn't overlooked by any of the other properties, whether you were inside or outside at the BBQ area or on the veranda. Living in the farmhouse next to the site the owner was on hand if needed but after giving us a warm welcome, answering any questions we had and checking any requirements was unintrusive throughout our stay. We hope to return and would definitely recommend the lodges.

    Very peaceful and relaxing. They supplied sports equipment plus games and books. Jill was very friendly and helpful and always on hand if needed. Only 30 mins from both coast so ideally situated for exploring Cornwall. Would defo book again.

  • "We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in cherry Lodge."

    The little extras provided by Jill the owner surpassed everything we could have wished for, everything was thought of to make our stay exceptional. Thank you so much Jill for the lovely cream tea, and all the other little luxuries. The setting is beautiful, we enjoyed many an evening and morning identifying all the different birds which visited the lodge. The beds were comfy, the showers lovely, and the kitchen well supplied. We would thoroughly recommend this ideal place to anyone wishing to visit Cornwall, there are so many tourist Attractions close to hand as well.

  • "Where can I start."

    From the welcome.To the clean spotless Lodge.To the 2 bathrooms.(One with bath/one with shower).To having a dishwasher a washing machine and a dryer.To the georgeous double soft bed.(Which was more comfy than ours at home).To a nice big wide parking space,if your concerned about those annoying dents from no-where.Outside garden games for younger kids.Masses of room in the living room.Nice big table to eat from.Even a maiden for your special clothes that cant go in a dryer.To the price.The list could go on and on...I am OCD and this covered everything even I could think of.Only 6 Lodges here, lovely,nice, quiet, about 1 mile away from the chines/Indian takeaways and chippy and Asda/ aldi and Bodmin shops/etc. I would book again Loved it.

  • "Owner Jill meet us after we had moved into the lodge, and just said if any problems or questions just knock the door to the farm house and her or someone would help, gave us a large book to look through,, with suggestions for days out in the Bodmin area and further afield, beaches and good fish and chips local."

    Could not have been more helpful and friendly! we spent everyday out and every evening visiting another site! When we went out the sun came out, brilliant! we went everywhere, plenty of stores for food, Sainsbury, Morrisons, Tesco, Asda and Aldi!

  • "We chose this location as it was perfect to visit the various parts of Cornwall we wanted to see -Tintagel, Port Isaac, Looe, Polperro, Mousehole, Porthcurno Beach, Kynance Cove and The Lizard."

    We visited more locations thanks to the info that the owners Jill, Trudy and Richard gave us. We were absolutely delighted with their welcome. The lodge is superb and has a full range of appliances that you would want - dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, TV with DVD player, Wi-Fi and more. It is very clean indeed and has all the materials you would need - just as if you were at home. Lots of towels and, even lots of coat hangers for your clothing The peaceful surroundings were very special to us as we come from the very busy south-east. The location is not far outside Bodmin and the local village of Lanivet has some stores and a pub that we dined in. The lodge was so much bigger than we expected and it was so comfortable. It has double glazing and the walls too have insulation, keeping a comfortable temperature which we found very welcome on returning on a chilly night after a long day out. To summarise, if you are wanting a large, very comfortable, fully-equiped lodge in quiet and beautiful surroundings, with car parking outside, with easy reach of the many great sites of Cornwall, DON'T HESITATE - BOOK THIS!!

  • "We had a wonderful time."

    The lodge was huge, beautiful verandah, everything we could possibly need. Lovely comfortable beds, spotlessly clean bathrooms with unlimited hot water. The kitchen was better stocked than ours at home and a dishwasher and washer drier made life a breeze. No huge piles of washing to do when we got back. The hosts were lovely, left us to ourselves but couldn’t do enough for us when we asked for help and local info. Also, Bodmin turned out to be a perfect base for exploring, just a short journey to so many beautiful places.

A small village just to the west of Bodmin, Lanivet is a collection of picturesque properties, an award-winning fish and chip restaurant, a pub and a few shops. The main town in the area is Bodmin, with its shopping centre and local attractions of the Bodmin and Wenford Railway, the Camel cycle trail, and the Bodmin Jail with its courtroom experience. Close by are Bodmin Moor, the National Trust’s Lanhydrock House and Gardens for walking and cycling, as well as the magnificent Eden Project. Cornwall’s northern surfing coast and beaches are some twelve miles away, and the south coast is eight miles away.
