Frenchmans Creek is also a short drive (as mentioned in Daphne du Maurier's books), and picturesque Helford Village.
The Villages of Mawgan, Manaccan and Helford are all served by a local pubs - it may be advisable to check opening times and book in advance.
On the estuary you can bathe and hire boats at St Anthony or towards the Lizard beautiful beaches such as Coverack, Kennack Sands, Poldu and Church Cove are convenient for family days out.
