  • "The property was gorgeous!"

    Very well equipped, very warm, easy access. Mark was extremely helpful when the dishwasher decided not to play ball Christmas eve. He popped in Christmas morning to sort it, which was extremely good of him. The kitchen has ample of everything! You can easily cook up a feast, then kick back and watch the smart tv in front of the log burner. The property is done to a high standard, love the 'quirky' mirrors in the bathrooms! Log burner was lovely given the time of year. Dogs loved being able to run in the field in front of the property. Some lovely sunrises and sunsets with the views of open fields. Bedrooms were nice and warm, with the underfloor heating. You can control each room, which was great. Once parked up you can close the gates and be secure if you have 4 legged friends with you. A very nice patio area with grass at the back of the property. The welcome cream tea was lovely. Bedding and towels were excellent. The property was immaculate, and they had tried to make it a home from home, a credit to them. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to be a couple of miles from a town to enjoy the open countryside and the tranquillity. No light pollution if you like stargazing!

  • "We’ve just returned from a wonderful week at this beautiful holiday home."

    It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The underfloor heating kept the whole place warm and cosy, and it was ideal for our dog too. The fully enclosed garden and driveway gave us peace of mind, and the view out across the fields was just lovely. We really enjoyed being able to slide open the bifold doors and let the outdoors flow right inside. We also made use of the log fire on a couple of evenings, which added an extra touch of warmth and charm. Although we didn’t meet Liz, Mark was incredibly welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed during our stay. Our only slight preference would have been a softer bed. It was a little firm for us personally and could easily be improved with a thicker mattress topper. That said, it certainly didn’t take away from our overall experience. We would absolutely recommend this property, and if we’re lucky enough to visit Cornwall again, we’d love to stay here once more. The location is wonderfully central for exploring all the county has to offer

  • "We arrived at Lake View after a long journey and were very impressed with what we saw."

    The property was excellent! It was in a lovely spot and was very convenient for visiting the area. The underfloor heating was much appreciated. It had one of the best equipped kitchens I have seen and was used!. The two bathrooms were great and the showers!! We would definitely return. The only problem we had was opening the front door!! We struggled to get in and out. Luckily there was an alternative.

  • "Modern, Immaculate and clean, great, peaceful location with fabulous views from the sofa."

    Great location for touring north and south Cornwall. Quality fittings throughout even down to the patio furniture. Fabulous showers. No expense spared. Owners friendly and not imposing. Cream tea very welcome, thank you! Would recommend and would definitely return.

  • "This is a fabulous property."

    Modern, comfortable and clean. Very well equipped. Set in a quiet countryside location, but in easy reach of shops, local attractions and beaches. There are plenty of lovely walks nearby and a National trust house and beautiful gardens (Trerice) within walking distance. There is a large field and pond on the grounds of Lake View house, and our dog loved the freedom of running around, but it is a working farm, so your dog has to be obedient. There is a ‘sun trap’ patio and chairs outside as well, which is fabulous if the weather is as lovely as it was when we were there. The owners are friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend and we will be back. It is by far the best rental property that I have ever stayed at in Cornwall .

  • "The holiday house was really good."

    Everything you would want was there. The beds and linen are of good quality and very comfy. The outside space was good too and secure enough to keep our dog safe and the field was great to be able to walk When the summer crowds have gone we will definitely be back.   • "Lake view is absolutely amazing."

    Ultra modern, no expense has been spared on this property. Underfloor heating a lovely wood burner and wonderful showers. Everything thing you need for perfect relaxing getaway is there. The views are glorious, nice and quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be returning. The owners are very friendly and helpful.     The cottage was immaculate and tastefully decorated. It was very comfortable and warm, with everything you needed making it a great place to stay. We had the best nights sleep ever. It was so quiet with lovely countryside views. It is just outside of Newquay and Quintrell downs With easy access to amazing beaches. We would love to visit again. The owners are very friendly and helpful and made sure we were OK. Overall a fantastic stay.

Lake View is a stunning single-storey house situated on a farm in Kestle Mill, Cornwall.

This two-bedroom property sleeps four people and sits on over 15 acres of field and woodlands, boasting a woodburning stove, underfloor heating, and picturesque countryside views, perfectly suited to a family and two dutiful dogs.

Wave hello to the farm animals as you stroll across acres of nature just for you and be welcomed into the open-plan living space of your new haven away from home.

Glide across hardwood floors to fall onto the sofa and into a story on the Smart TV, while a woodburning stove and underfloor heating hug you with warmth.

Whip up a delicious dinner with the help of a double oven, electric hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer, then dig into your culinary creation at a dining table for four.

The dishwasher is on clean-up duty, so you are free to watch the sun melt into the lake from your garden patio furniture.

Wash off the day’s medals of mud under a rain shower in the shower room or en-suite, as the washing/dryer does the same to your laundry.

QUINTRELL DOWNS

Newquay 3 miles; Perranporth 9.1 miles

This Cornish village rests some three miles south-east of Newquay, named after the surrounding area of moorland and playing host to a local shop, a couple of pubs, a garden centre and the railway station, which operates local services every couple of hours between Par and Newquay. You can also access Newquay by car, via the A392, and discover its endless supply of rolling surf, three wonderful beaches, each offering something different, and a variety of family-friendly attractions. Spend a day at the zoo or sea life centre with the kids and try out some of its finest restaurants and bars for light refreshments or a spot of lunch. The South West Coast Path is a must, attracting tourists from all over, home to an abundance of wildlife and spectacular landscape scenery, as well as picturesque beaches and hidden coves. You also have the chocolate-box fishing village of Padstow with its thriving harbour and traditional Cornish amenities, while the city of Truro has museums, its beautiful cathedral, and cobbled streets. The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and the towns and villages of Fowey, Polperro and Mevigissey are also worth visiting. This is the ideal base for exploring the heart of Cornwall.
