The property

Honeysuckle Rise is a welcoming annexe in Lanreath, Cornwall.

Offering a homely base for couples seeking a relaxing retreat with standout features that include single-level living, an enclosed garden, and pet-friendly appeal.

When you arrive at Honeysuckle Rise and park beside the annexe, the setting immediately introduces you to a gentle slice of Devon life, with planted borders, soft greenery and the sense of being tucked within a quiet corner of Lanreath.

As you walk inside, the open-plan living space unfolds in front of you, designed so that each part of the room encourages you to slow down.

You might start in the kitchen area where you can prepare easy suppers while the scent of something warm fills the space.

Moving through to the dining area, the table invites you to set out an unhurried meal and enjoy the simple pleasure of conversation.

The sitting area draws you in afterwards, the ideal spot to unwind with your favourite programme on the television or to relax with a drink while the evening settles outside.

From here, wander into the double bedroom which feels like a natural retreat at the end of the day, a place where you can stretch out and let the quiet of the village wrap around you.

The shower room offers a refreshing beginning each morning, with a walk-in shower that brings a welcome burst of energy before you head out to explore.

When you return later in the day, the enclosed garden gives you a private space to enjoy the fresh Cornish air, whether you are sipping your first drink of the morning or watching the changing colours of the sky in the evening.

The shared gardens extend the sense of openness and offer another place to stroll before heading to the nearby shop and pub, both only a short wander away.

Lanreath sits within easy reach of three delightful coastal villages.

Looe offers a lively harbourfront where you can wander past fishing boats, explore independent shops and follow the curve of the beach as the tide moves in.

Polperro invites you into its winding lanes where cottages appear to lean together and the small beach offers a place to pause beside the water.

Pelynt sits within gently rolling countryside and provides a charming base for stocking up on local essentials or setting out on scenic walks.

Within an hour, three attractions offer inspiring days out.

The Eden Project surrounds you with towering biomes filled with rainforest and Mediterranean landscapes, bringing the scent of warm foliage and the thrill of discovering hidden pathways.

Restormel Castle lets you wander through sweeping stone arches and climb to viewpoints where you can look out across the green sweep of the Fowey Valley.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan provide a day of exploration through kitchen gardens, hidden sculptures and woodland trails that gradually reveal pockets of history preserved within their leafy setting.

Make your break unforgettable and choose Honeysuckle Rise for your next stay.

LANREATH

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe, home to the famous Punchbowl Inn, a must visit. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop, Post Office, 2 pubs as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
