  • "The Stables is an absolute gem!"

    So cosy, clean and extremely comfortable. The owners, Penny and Roy, are very friendly and helpful and have thought of everything to make a stay at this lovely cottage a must when visiting this wonderful part of Cornwall. The welcome pack and flowers were very thoughtful and much appreciated. The accommodation is well-presented, spacious and peaceful with lovely grounds to wander around, or just sit out in and enjoy after a long day exploring. We were always pleased to return and just chill out listening to the birdsong or having a cuddle with Roo and his new companion, Merlin, the two fluffiest, cutest dogs you could meet. We have now joined the band of The Stables "returners" of which there are many. We rarely return to the same cottage twice but enjoyed staying here so much last year that we came back. We very much recommend The Stables and would have no hesitation in booking again. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you Penny and Roy.

  • "Excellent accommodation, very clean and tidy."

    Situated in an ideal location close to both coasts. Very peaceful and tranquil cottage with with everything you would ever need for a cornish holiday. Owners are lovely and live close by so they are always available for help or advice.

Newquay 7 miles; Padstow 9 miles.

An old and picturesque market town nestled among lush green countryside, just five miles from the North Cornish Coast. The resort attractions of Newquay includes bars, clubs, a zoo, vibrant shops, the National Surfing Centre and fabulous beaches are all just 7 miles away, while 9 miles in the other direction is the sleepy fishing port of Padstow. In between lies a beautiful section of the South West Coast path, winding its way over the clifftops, down to tranquil coves and across some of the region's top beaches. The surrounding area is also a visitor’s paradise with much to see and do. Stately homes, world-renowned gardens, adventure playgrounds and theme parks, model railways, fishing lakes and golf courses are all to be discovered within 10 miles.
