Gorran Haven is a delightful fishing village, situated on the coast and lies within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

It has a small harbour (haven) and beautiful sandy beaches.

There is easy access to the coastal path on the Roseland peninsula and there are plenty of tourist hot spots to explore.

The village offers a store and post office with a gazebo alongside, offering hot food and licensed bar, a beachside café in the summer, public house, fish and chip shop and adjacent shop selling beach goods.

There is a children’s play area, tennis courts and football pitch just 10 minutes from the property.

Access to the tennis courts is free and very rarely used.

You can enjoy the play area or try and focus on your tennis whilst the sea views offer a pleasant distraction.

The attractive harbour village of Mevagissey with numerous restaurants and pubs is just a short distance away.

This can be accessed by car or by using the coastal path, taking in the local pub in Portmellon, adjacent to the sea, on the way.

A short drive away is The Lost Gardens Heligan, which is a 19th century botanical garden, set in 200 acres of stunning landscaped countryside, with an on-site tearoom and plenty of wildlife to discover along the way.

Or visit the world famous Eden project in St Austell, with its gigantic biomes offering an amazing insight into the world of plant life, which is only 14 miles away.

If beaches catch your eye, there are many to choose from.

As well the two village beaches, 10 minutes walk from the property, a variety of other beautiful beaches can easily be accessed by foot including Vault beach, Hemmick Beach and Mevagissey Bay, all offering golden sands and clear waters for fun-filled family days out, all from the coastal path.

In the local village, kayaks and paddle boards are available to hire in the summer months.

The safe and sandy beach of Caerhayes, with its castle, still maintained as a private home, is just 5 miles away, again it can be accessed from the coastal path or is a short drive away, with a local car park.

Take a relaxing swim in the sea or top up on that tan, while your little ones enjoy building sandcastles and playing a variety of beach games.

    “The location was understated.”

Brilliant view looking down the valley to Goran harbour and the sea. Sitting on the decking enjoying the view with whatever you drank. The bungalow was very well equipped and exceeded all our needs . It felt more like home than a holiday let.
