  • "We had the most amazing week at Bear Cottage."

We arrived late due to traffic. Once we arrived Maureen, came up to make sure we had everything we needed. She is such a great person made us feel very welcome from the start. Nothing was to much trouble. The cottage is so lovely, you could not help but just feel relaxed. This place is definitely a labour of love. Great hot tub & fantastic slipper bath. We would absolutely recommend this place to family & friends. Thank you Nantrisack for a great time. Hope to see you again soon.

  • "Was welcomed to Bear cottage by a lovely cream tea and a beaming smile from Maureen the owner."

Everything about this stay was amazing all but the weather. However not even that could stop us from enjoying the cottage and it’s hot tub. Archie our dog loved his field and visits to the nearby beach. Thanks for a great week and hopefully see you again soon. Mark, Jill and Archie xx

Perfect location if you want peace and quiet with lots of places to visit plus plenty of walks nearby. Good eating can be found quite close to Bear cottage but not within walking distance. Looking forward to returning

Myself, my husband and our 2 dogs have spent a perfect week here. Decor, is incredible and the overall level of comfort, thought and care which has gone into Bear Cottage is just mind blowing. We stay away on hols a lot, and never stayed anywhere as well thought out, comfy as this. Garden is perfectly secure for the dogs which was fab. Our dogs loved the dog toy station too! Beaches within a 15 minute drive- perfectly situated for exploring. Would definitely return

  • "We've just stayed for a week with our two large dogs."

All of us couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The property is beautiful with every need catered for with a huge private field attached to the property, fully secure and fenced in to let our dogs have a good run. The surroundings all around the property are completely secure for dogs. Loved this place and didn't want to leave so we've already booked for next year. It's a great location for driving to different beaches. We went to a different place virtually every day we were there. Lovely local pubs too! Pretty much all dog friendly. Also, they left me a cake and a card for my birthday which was such a lovely touch! Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful holiday cottage. Maureen & John (owners) have literally thought of every last tiny little detail which makes it home from home!...from spare brand new tooth brushes in the bathroom, to pens and paper in the kitchen, just every little thing has been thought of. The cottage is absolutely spotless - such a high standard, and so comfortable. The hot tub is incredible, all you can see is Bear Cottage and fields and fields with the patio doors straight in to the bedroom. The cottage is so private with nothing overlooking. We actually booked a week here but left mid-week for 2 days to go and get married, and when we got back the cottage had been decorated with 'Mr & Mrs / just married' bunting, celebration balloons and champagne. We took some wedding cake to Maureen & John and they very kindly invited us in to their home for a cuppa - it felt like we'd been friends for years - so very welcoming!! Location - not far from Truro, but in the little information book there is local take away information / nearest supermarkets etc. Thank you for everything - we will definitely be booking again.

As always everything perfect at the cottage. We were most disappointed that because of the petrol shortage we could not venture far from Bear Cottage but a perfect place to be in those circumstances. Lottie our English Setter was perfectly safe in the garden and could exercise freely in the field.

Maureen is a fantastic lady, who will do her upmost to assist should you need her too. The place itself has everything and more from a self catering point of few. We arrived with a weeks worth of food and drink, used the fully modern kitchen for our evening meal after we had played out all day. Was fantastic

  • "Me and my husband stayed at Little Bear Cottage as the first part of our honeymoon and it was spectacular!"

The owners went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special with banners and a welcome cream tea when we arrived. They even left a card for us! The cottage was just beautiful and really created the settling for a romantic holiday. Even though there are some cottages around you, you really feel like it is just you in the area. The lay out has been created very well with any outside space or windows looking out onto the views so you really don't notice any other cottages. The facilities were perfect and the hot tub had such a wonderful view, great to see the stars! The cottage is at maximum an hour away from anywhere in Cornwall so you are able to really explore. There are wonderful farm shops, cafes and local facilities within a 10 min drive and a Waitrose that has a local Cornwall shop attached if you wish to buy local 100%. Everything in the cottage worked perfectly and we were very surprised at the extent of utensils and cooking supplies there was. We were able to make anything we wanted. Little Bear Cottage enabled us to have such a special and unique honeymoon. The log burning fire looked amazing and we almost wished we visited in winter so we could snuggle in front of the wood burning fire (maybe a second trip is on the cards!). Thank you so much and we would really recommenced to anyone.
