Boundary Barn is a beautiful place to get away to for a few days.

It is in a great location, with fantastic views & sheep and rabbits in the field outside the door :) Erica & Andy are really friendly and have set the accommodation up thoughtfully and to a very high standard. 100% recommended!

Beautiful cottage - lovely setting - great views!

Boundary Barn is really lovely, tastefully furnished, very comfortable and well equipped. An ideal location for Bristol, Wells & Bath in a lovely rural setting. It was lovely to watch the rabbits playing in the fiields amongst the sheep whilst relaxing on the patio or in the lovely lounge area. Erica and Andy were the perfect host, a really lovely couple. A really special place to stay. We would highly recommend Boundry Barn and hope to return again in the future.

Lovely views and very well located. Rural but close to Bristol and its park and ride. Convenient for Bath, Wells, Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge and seaside at Clevedon and Weston. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Boundary Barn was an oasis of calm.

The views spectacular. The sunrises and sunsets phenomenal. A lovely secluded patio with nature all around. Beautifully maintained accommodation with great attention to detail and so very well equipped for a cosy very well planned out space. We loved our stay here. Our hosts were friendly and approachable but respected our privacy. We stayed for two weeks and a change of bed linen, towels etc was provided. I really can’t say that the flight path bothered us much at all. The planes are not that loud and intrusive. If you are looking for a romantic getaway then look no further. If you are looking for a a piece of the rural countryside to ease your soul then this really would take some beating.

Boundary Barn is fantastic, Beautifully presented, everything you need for a peaceful relaxing break.

Location is great too, 15 minutes from Bristol City, 30 minutes from Cheddar Gorge, and 30 minutes to the beach. Erica & Andy are perfect hosts. Welcoming, Friendly but not intrusive. Thank you both for our perfect long weekend away. If we are in the area again we will definitely book again!

We had a great week at Boundary Barn.

The accommodation is very well equipped and exactly as described with fantastic views and in a great spot. It is in a good location for visiting the sights in this part of Somerset and Bristol and is only 15 mins drive from the city Park & Ride. Having read some of the previous comments about aircraft noise, we were a little anxious about this but needn’t have worried as you soon don’t even notice it.

It is a private, clean, warm and comfortable cottage, with everything you need.

It has lovely views over the valley and beyond. We enjoyed watching the sheep in the field next door and the hot air balloons rising above the hill opposite. However, the cottage is close to the flight path to Bristol Airport which spoiled things, somewhat.

Boundary Barn is small and cosy, perfect for two.

The facilities are good and the environs are just where we wanted to be for access to Wells and Bristol. The bathroom is tight and the master bedroom is small, with a double bed. We enjoyed our stay there.

Erica and Andrew were very friendly and helpful when contacted and quick to help and advise.

Lovely Barn with all facilities (no dishwasher but hey..) thought a nice location from Bristol, though obviously need a car. Would recommend and go back myself. Thanks to Erica and Andy (and Olive the dog!) Neil and Debbie

There ought to be a warning for anyone with mobility problems.

The access steps are very high and was a real difficulty for my wife who had recently had a hip replacement. The accommodation was lovely and the views outstanding - but an analogue TV - in 2025??? It did, at least, encourage us to read.

We've just returned from a fab week at Boundary Barn.

The accommodation was well equipped and spotless. During the week my son and family visited and there was lots of space for us to play boules and chill out. The Carpenter's Arms at the end of the road doesn't look if it's opening again any time soon but that didn't affect us. Also at the moment (late May) Google maps thinks the road accessing Upton Lane is shut (it isn't) and can take you a very long way round. Avoid East Dundry Lane - basically a steep farm track with little space but maps thinks it's a decent road. We would definitely visit Boundary Barn again.

Cosy,comfortable and warm.

Nice views. We were disturbed by aeroplane’s mainly landing and taking off at around 6am and midnight. A very nice couple who were most helpful, a good location for visiting the area, we found a new location every day.

Lovely Easter trip to Boundary Barn.

Very well equipped cottage and nicely laid out. The view is just beautiful from the cottage too. It was perfect for us as a family of three and a great location to visit Bristol (via park and ride), Bath, Cheddar Gorge and Wells. The owners were very helpful and approachable and clearly take good care of the property.

Well located to visit Bristol and the Chew Valley

It is as advertised regarding everything but,and the but is aircraft noise.

It starts at 6am .19 aircraft take off between 6 and7 and as many again between 7 and 8. If you want to sleep after 6am forget it. The cottage is directly under the flight path and the aircraft are only 3-400 ft high. This is not 'associated noise' Perhaps it would be better if marketed at plane spotters.

This was our second stay at Boundary Barn.

Everything is just perfect, that's why we returned. It's lovely after a day out to return to such a lovely place & be able to sit & look out at the lovely views, we did miss seeing any hot air balloons this time though , when we stayed in 2022 we saw them every day. The planes are nice to see coming & going , the noise was no problem to us at all. We would definitely consider staying here again if in the area

Well appointed cottage with gorgeous cross valley views.

We have stayed in the area many times to visit family and Boundary Barn was a good as if not better than any. Only minor quibble is that the Carpenters' Arms which is 500 yards away has been shut for four years now, and it is misleading to imply that it is open. Also, I'm not sure that the Dundry Inn is still operating, so I think your listing needs to updated to reflect that (sadly - as when we went to the Dundry Inn last autumn it was very good).

This a delightful property, very tastefully converted and well equipped.

The area is beautiful and within reach of Bath, Wells and Cheddar Gorge, as well as some ancient sites which were of particular interest to us. Nearby Chew Magna is an interesting village with some excellent places to eat. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage as a comfortable base for exploring a lovely region. Our thanks to the owners for facilitating a most enjoyable stay.

The Barn is well and fully furnished. You also have a beautiful view of the hills.In addition, we received a warm welcome from the owner. We look forward to a next stay.

SS Great Britain was a full day out Regarding being near Bristol Airport, this did not bother us at all, even with few planes going over. At this property was a Beauty Barn where I had a long overdue Manicure, loads of Treatments were available too The views were spectacular with sheep so close to the Barn. The facilities in the Barn were spot on, everything you needed and most of all so soft Beds and so comfortable which in my book is a must Thank you for a lovely stay, and a perfect base for exploring, we shall return as for us its so near our Son and future Daughter in law Regards, Maureen and Colin Magee

A cosy space with everything you could need. Very clean and beautifully furnished with absolutely fantastic views. Hosts are close by if you need anything but Boundary Barn is lovely and private.

Boundary Barn is situated on a quiet lane with fabulous views.

The cottage is small, yet roomy at the same time and is furnished beautifully. Two shower rooms is a bonus in a small property and the open plan kitchen/diner/lounge makes it feel airy. Bedrooms are small but adequate. The cottage is under the Bristol airport flight path. Flights do operate 24 hours. This didn’t bother us but may do if you’re looking for total peace and quiet. That said I would definitely recommend this property.

Boundary Barn is in a lovely position, overlooking the Chew Valley, but this is spoiled by being under the flight path for Bristol airport.

About 100 jets take off and land each day, some during the night, and when the jets are taking off towards the property, they are very noisy. The property information states: "As the property is conveniently positioned by Bristol Airport, some associated noise maybe heard". This is very misleading. If you are looking for some piece and quiet, and you want to sleep after 0600, I would recommend not booking Boundary Barn.

Excellent property, tucked away in a quiet location.

Facilities were everything we needed for our stay.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday at Boundary barn, it is ideally situated for visiting places like Cheddar gorge, Wookey hole, Bristol zoo & Coast of Weston-super-Mare they are all within 1hrs journey away.

The cottage was lovely it was clean, comfortable with everything we needed. Garden seating provided so It was lovely to sit outside after a day out overlooking the hills & fields full of sheep, with the occasional visit from Olive the dog bringing her toys to play. We saw hot air balloons every day except one which was a bit more breezy, with all this to see we never even switched the TV on our whole weeks stay. We would definitely return here if ever staying in this area again .

Perfect stay, everything was as listed in the description and Erica was so lovely in asking if we needed anything topping up.

Olive the gorgeous dog is adorable and friendly made our stay. One thing i would say is that it would of been good to of have more options with the TV as in Netflix as we do not have the Google Stream as i would say a lot of visitors wouldn't either.

Provided everything we needed for our stay. Such a comfortable cottage, and made to feel very welcome. Definitely one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

We have just returned from a relaxing and peaceful holiday at Boundary Barn.

It's set at the top of a valley, so the views were amazing. Being able to watch the funny spring lambs was lovely. The Barn had everything you need and it was very clean. We enjoyed walking from the barn across the numerous footpaths, byways and bridleways. The countryside was stunning. The wildflowers were beautiful. A visit to the Chew Valley and Blagdon lakes was a lovely day out, if you go to the fishing tackle shop at Woodford Lodge at Chew Valley lake sailing club, you can buy a day permit ticket for £6 each, this allows you to walk or drive around these beautiful lakes. We saw an Osprey, Barn Owl, Little Egrets, Herons, Sandpipers, and a new sighting for us, Garganey dabbling ducks. The grasses around the lake were filled with wildflowers including Early purple Orchids. There's also a restaurant at Woodford Lodge. Thank you for a lovely stay at Boundary Barn.

This is an ideal holiday property.

The house is well equipped and comfortable.It is close to Bristol but in a rural setting The owners deserve praise for sending on to me property I had left behind.This is real service.

The barn was amazingly clean! Decor was the perfect mix between modern & traditional. Superb comfy beds with high quality bedding. Fluffy, thick bath towels. Loads of storage. Kitchen equipped with everything you could possible need/want. Diffusers dotted about releasing lovely fragrances & also matching handwash in both bathrooms. There is even a chromecast so you can beam content to the tv Its those little well thought out touches that raises the bar. This is by far the best place we have stayed in in the UK. Erica & Andy are such a lovely friendly couple and It's so obvious to see that their priority is for all guests to have a lovely time at Boundary Barn. This is a 5* accommodation!!! I cannot recommend enough & would definitely return in a heartbeat!!

Lovely place, the people were lovely would definitely go back.

This was the first time we have booked a cottage and we really enjoyed it.

The cottage is just 5 miles from Bristol and is a great base to discover the local area. It has beautiful views over the rolling hills and the owners were very welcoming even giving us some milk so we didn't need to go to the shops when we arrived. It had a well-equiped kitchen including washing up liquid, dishcloths, and tea towels. There were lovely toiletries provided in the shower rooms and it was well decorated throughout. At one end of the lane, there is an ice cream parlour well worth a visit and a pub at the other end. We visited Bristol Docks, Clifton Suspension Bridge, Glastonbury, the Cheddar Gorge and Weston Super Mare all very easy to get to. Lots of little villages with country pubs close by too.I can't recommend it enough. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Andrea and Graham.

Stunning cottage in a stunning location.

The cottage had everything we needed and was in a great location for exploring the local area.

I have had a huge number of e mails from Sykes, both in connection with this holiday and to encourage future use.

I think this is too much.

We had a lovely holiday 'covid style', isolating so sadly not accessing local attractions although we visited Tynstesfield N.

T property and drove through Clevedon which unfortunately had decided to ban all car parking along the front, why could they not have had at least alternate parking bays made available? As a result side streets were jam packed with cars - possibly for the residents and few visitors. Shame, because Clevedon looked delightful. The location of the Boundary Barn gives 180 views of beautiful countryside with every shade of green, yellow and bronze - and with sheep of course. Unfortunately without a Sat Nav finding it was tricky on the drive down to Dundry but we cracked it in the end - part of Somerset's charm is the winding roads which can take you in circles even with an old fashioned map to guide you.. We had beautiful weather which was a bonus, and walks to the local dairy each day for fresh milk from Guernsey cows was a joy. Our hosts Andrew and Erica made us most welcome on arrival and unobtrusive hosts, we knew if we had need them they were always there.

It was everything I wanted and more.

The barn is really cosy and comfortable.

Tasteful decor, lovely views, super comfy beds and very convenient for Bristol and attractions in the surrounding N Somerset area. There is also a beauty spa available on site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely short break.

The cottage was great with a fantastic view over the valley and was clean and well equipped. The welcoming apple and blackberry crumble was a lovely touch. We would certainly go back.

We loved the layout and facilities of Boundary Barn, Everything seemed to have been well thought out and it was decorated and furnished to a high standard.

We appreciated the groceries left for us, which avoided us having to pop to the shops for the basics. We had lovely days out throughout the week, visiting Wells, Clevedon and Bath, but there is lots for us still to see, so another visit would be good! The showers were great, but my elderly mother would have appreciated a shower mat and grab rail. We highly recommend.

I booked Boundary Barn for my boyfriends parents as they were over to visit us from France and we are having work done on the house so they couldn't stay with us, and they were looking after his 5 year old daughter.

They were so happy with their stay, they arrived to scones and clotted cream and Erica and Andy made them very welcome! It is a lovely location and funnily enough we could almost see the cottage from our house and they could see ours as the views are across the valley! Would highly recommend staying there to anyone, and if we have more visitors that we can't put up, will definitely be booking them in there!! It's easy to get either directly into Bristol or out to the countryside, so they found it a great location for exploring .. apparently there are also apples and plums in the garden ;-)

We found Boundary Barn very cosy, clean and comfortable, (lovely comfy bed and the fluffiest towels ever).

Located in lovely rolling countryside but near enough to Bristol if you want a bit more life, plenty of things to see and do there. We visited Weston Super Mare, Wookey Hole, Wells, Cheddar Gorge which were no more than a hours drive away. Be aware that there are planes regularly flying over as airport not too far away, though we had no problem with this at all. Would definitely recommend you visit here, owners Erica and Andy were most welcoming and helpful.
