  • "The cottage is lovely and perfectly located in the Cotswolds, very quiet and peaceful !"

Meghan was here to welcome us, many thanks !

  • "Flynn's Barn is such a beautiful place in a fabulous location."

There is lots of space and each bedroom has it's own bathroom - and it is beautifully decorated too. There are 3 local villages just 30-40mins walk away with lovely pubs and if you have children, then the lovely Cotswold Farm Park is a 5min drive away. I would highly recommend Flynns Barn!

  • "Beautiful countryside and sheep surrounding the property."

The house was so clean and nicely put together. It had a lovely cosy feel about it and was very comfortable. We all had a lovely stay, it was perfect for what we wanted.

  • "Totaly faultless holiday, really perfect holiday home."

The space was well set out and presented, with all the kids loving their rooms. The location is perfect as well! Definitely rebooking for next summer when there'll be less rain.

  • "Wonderful location, clean and bright space, all in all a great place to stay in the Cotswolds!"

    Great for families!

  • "The airbnb was clean upon arrival and looked even better than in the pictures!"

The host had made lovely scones for all the guests and even provided us with milk in the fridge. The only issue we experienced was poor internet connection but this is expected in such a remote area and plenty of board games and books were provided to compensate for this.

  • "Really nice house."

Joined with another property and owners live in close distance so you do have to bear in mind your noise levels. Limited contact with owner but she was readily available and there to help. House is very we kept and clean. Great remote location (car definitely needed). Overall very nice stay

  • "Flynn's Barn was absolutely gorgeous!"

Very spacious and stylish, and in a great location to explore country walks and neighbouring towns. We were greeted with a home made Victoria Sponge and given great tips for the area. We will definitely be returning!

Barn was spotless and we had everything we needed. Great views and lovely waking up to the sheep every morning. Megan was very welcoming and lovely to talk to hearing the history behind the Barn. Beds were so comfortable ⭐️

  • "Amazing in all aspects: location, host (Megan), house, everything."

Many thanks Megan for a wonderful hospitality (the kids loved the cake) and my wife and I enjoyed the flowers and the wonderful tips. Strongly recommend.

  • "Amazing location and beautiful cottage."

Couldn't have asked for nicer owners too. Ideal for exploring with gorgeous views and the log fire was perfect.

  • "I stayed in Flynn's Barn with some friends for a long weekend."

There are two very similar joined properties that are on the same land as the owners who are in the main house opposite. The house is newly built, with lots of old world charm, very clean and the facilities were good. There are 3 bedrooms with a large double downstairs, a master bedroom upstairs and a room with 4 single beds also upstairs. All the bedrooms have an ensuite with showers and a bath tub in the downstairs ensuite. The living space was comfortable and spacious enough to accommodate 6 adults. The location itself is beautiful with plenty of local pubs within a few miles. If you are thinking about this property, do it! I very much doubt that you would be disappointed!

Spacious, everything seems new, super clean, ideal for kids and babies - lots of nice walks nearby and easy access to Bourton, etc.

We stayed for two nights as a family group of six adults and instantly felt comfortable and made it our home. Spotless with considerate touches to make you feel welcome. Thoroughly recommend.

The property

Naunton 1.4 miles Peacefully located in the hamlet of Aylworth, close to Naunton, rests Flynn’s Barn which is a stunning barn conversion in the grounds of Aylworth Cottage.

Flynn's Barn has the option of being rented in conjunction with its neighbouring property, Hetty’s Stables which is perfect for a larger group, or on its own as group of eight.

A shared driveway greets you on arrival before you unload your luggage through the front door, directly into the inviting open-plan living area, home to a warm and welcoming, dual aspect sitting room that is flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows with striking exposed brick wall and a warming woodburning stove to warm your cockles on a cold winter evening, along with a light and airy kitchen/diner which is ideal for home cooking and has all the facilities you require to whip up a delicious meal before retreating to the wooden dining table to enjoy your meal with your loved ones, whilst your toes are warmed by the underfloor heating.

Bedroom three is conveniently located on the ground floor and is situated perfectly for guests who have limited mobility; the room contains a welcoming king-size bed, hanging and drawer space, and benefits from an en-suite bathroom.

A staircase concealed behind a fire door in the sitting room leads up to the first floor where you will find two homely bedrooms; the master overlooks the lane and Windrush Valley in the distance through lovely dual aspect window, complete with an attractive king-size wooden sleigh bed and has a tastefully decorated walk-in shower room, the second bedroom located in the eaves of the property has beautiful countryside views and exposed wooden beams and contains four single beds, perfect for a family, with an en-suite walk-in shower room.

Enjoy your morning coffee amongst the wildlife and fresh air in the garden, which has a private patio area directly outside home to a table set, and Cotswold steps leading up to a raised lawn area which offers wonderful views of the surrounding countryside which guests are welcome to explore comprising of vast green fields and paddocks which make up the owners eight acres of grounds.

Once you’ve had some well-earned rest, head out for a scenic walk around Ayleworth or a more advanced walk along Cotswold Way which extends from the quintessentially English market town of Chipping Campden to the Roman city of Bath, at 102 miles long following the western edge of the Cotswold Hills, the route journeys through rolling pastures, beech woodland and honey-coloured villages built from Cotswold stone.

Head for a delicious meal in nearby Naunton at The Black Horse Inn which has a pleasant ambience and offers home-made, locally sourced food and lovely drinks.

Naunton has a beautiful river running through it, the River Windrush, which flows from Winchcombe and meets the Thames at Newbridge, passing through Bourton-on-the-Water, often referred to as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ due to the low arched bridges that cross over the river, which has a variety of popular shops and attractions such as Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection and The Model Village – Bourton-on-the-Water in model form, and Greystones Farm & Nature Reserve, offering time out from the hustle and bustle of the village centre.

Make your way a little further North to the historic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, where you can enjoy a farmers’ market which occurs every second Thursday of each month, featuring inviting local produce or you can brush up on your history at St Edward’s Parish Church, a stunning Grade l listed church with parts dating back to the 11th century.

For an unforgettable holiday, stay at Flynn’s Barn.

The hill overlooking the town is great for climbing up and viewing the church and the village. The Black Horse Inn is the local pub which provides great views into the heart of the Cotswolds.
