The only slight disappointment was the oven and one of the baking trays was dirty and needed a good scrub !

The property

Upper Mill Barn is a lovely barn conversion situated in Coln St Aldwyns, Gloucestershire.

The property has undergone an extensive renovation and now provides a high-quality, contemporary accommodation.

Internally, the huge vaulted ceiling creates spacious rooms, while the heating system (which includes underfloor heating on the ground floor) ensures that your stay is as warm and comfortable as possible.

Step into the cosy open-plan interior, which boasts a small seating area, where you can gather to discuss the events of the day, or curl up and enjoy some quiet time with a good book.

The dining area has seating for up to six people and is a wonderful social space.

Take advantage of the on-hand kitchen appliances and cook up a storm for the whole family, using the spacious black granite worktops as your preparation space.

There are two bedrooms: one ground floor double and one first floor twin, housing a range of wooden furniture to store all your personal items.

To the rear, you will find a stunning enclosed garden, with a spacious patio and stone steps leading up to a large lawned garden, with a lovely bench and a table and chairs to sit on and enjoy the afternoon sun.

In the neighbouring town of Cheltenham, is the Cotswold Farm Park, a lovely working farm that was set up to protect rare breeds - and is still preserved today.

Your little ones will love it here as they get to meet over 50 breeds of animals, and have fun in the adventure barn, which has JCB rides and a large indoor sandpit.

There is something for everyone here!

Upper Mill Barn is the place to be for sightseers interested in the village’s rich history.
