  • "Lovely cosy barn, with plenty of space."

A well equipped kitchen, the log burner is brilliant, there are comfortable beds. The garden is great, very safe for our dogs., who loved all the areas to explore. Lovely homemade scones with conserve and clotted cream on our arrival. Could do with lighting at front of property as in November the solar lights didn't work and there isn't any street lighting, However thoroughly recommend this holiday cottage

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We aim for the Barn to be dog friendly. We have checked the outside lighting and found that it had been inadvertently switched off. Many apologies for this, we hope you return soon. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful cottage large enclosed and secure garden accommodation really nice and plenty of room."

Great location for exploring the Cotswolds. The facilities were excellent the downstair bedroom and wet room is beautiful the two upstart bedrooms are large but main bathroom is a challenge if your over 6ft due to the sloping ceiling but again is well finished and functional. As informed in the information when booking you can hear the A417 dual carriageway from the garden but not in the cottage, and this is subjective background noise my daughter from Surrey didn't notice it my wife from a very quiet Northamptonshire village did. Yes would recommend and really enjoyed our stay. Andrew M Bull

  • "Fabulous cottage for 6 adults and a dog."

Room in the garden to play games or just chill with a book. Super location for ease of travel and for getting out and about. Lots of thoughtful bits and pieces to aid enjoyment of the stay. The doggy first aid kit came to our rescue one day. Everything well documented and in good working order. We will return.

  • "Five Mile House Barn is a beautifully appointed cottage in an excellent location with great transport links."

It has a lovely outdoor area to sit in and relax. There are so many fantastic places to visit in the area, including lots of National Trust properties. The good transport links meant we could easily access places in the Cotswolds like Hidcote garden and Sudeley Castle but also travelled down to Stonehenge and Avebury for the day.

  • "Lovely cottage, 92 year old mum was with us, the garden room that she was in was perfect with the big wet room that I could get her wheelchair in so the house was disabled friendly but outside there were steps to the front and there was a big grass slope going to the back entrance that I had to push her up & down in the wheelchair every day that was unexpected & difficult, (Down not as bad) A paved path could help and make it a bit easier, other than that we loved the cottage and setting."

The listing is accurate in its description of the facilities and the area is a walkers delight being somewhat removed from the congested tourist hotspots but within easy reach of Cirencester. We enjoyed it so much we have booked for next year.

little bit of road noise but did not bother us that much, might be different in the summer months if you wanted to sit out. all I can say is if you want to get away to a lovely area this is the place to stay. The walk in shower was fantastic.

  • "My husband, our 3 children and our small dog had the most wonderful stay at this cottage and I cannot recommend it enough."

The place was spotlessly clean, they have literally thought of everything and we wanted for nothing during our stay. The walks are amazing and the homemade cake and rolls provided upon our arrival were absolutely delicious. All in all, this was a fantastic place and we will definitely be returning as soon as we can!

  • "We stayed in this gorgeous old barn with our 2 young children."

It is new to the holiday rental market and we were the first visitors. We booked it the day before our arrival and the host had made sure it was perfect. The property was well equipped with everything we could possibly need; including lots of things for the children. The host could not have been more helpful - and we arrived to a lovely cake and fresh bread that she had made. The property is in a good location, with Cirencester only 10mins away by car. We will be recommending to our friends and look forward to visiting again! Thank you!
