Beautiful property!

The kitchen has everything you could need and more. The quality of the linen and furnishings was excellent. Been built with good taste. The only drawback we found was the garden furniture. It’s was totally inadequate, old and not in keeping with the rest of the property which was a great shame as the weather was wonderful and we would have sat out much more.

Petal’s Patch was clean and spotless on arrival and well equipped inside.

The beds were very comfortable and it was a very pleasant base from which to see the Cotswolds. It was lovely to see the ponies in their paddock from the window and watch the bird life. The only thing that slightly let it down was that the exterior didn’t match the lovely interior. I revived a half dead rose by the door which in its tiny pot needed daily watering in the heat and there were several abandoned plant pots full of weeds or dead plants. A couple of tubs or hanging baskets would have created a much better first impression as you arrived and better matched the experience inside. The owners were friendly and helpful and we would definitely return though.

Accommodation was very clean, comfortable & good location for visiting the Cotswold area.

As previous guests pointed out a caddy or shelf in the shower would be helpful as would a shower mat as it was very slippery. Also another ovenproof dish & a baking tray in the kitchen would be useful. Patio set could do with a good clean! We did not use the bbq, however it had still the remains of charcoal ash from previous visitors.

Lovely spacious property in a great setting.

It is beautifully maintained, clean and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and my grandson loved the horses and the outdoor area.

Our stay at Petals Patch was everything we may have hoped for.

The location was ideally located for the many places one may wish to visit whilst in the Cotswolds. The accommodation was perfect for the four of us (two couples) and was of a very high standard. Needless to say we would have no hesitation in recommending Petals Patch to others and indeed have every intention to return at some point when the weather is more likely to receive the same high praise as the accommodation!

We had a delightful stay at Petal's Patch while visiting the Cotswolds.

The cottage was perfect for the 3 of us and was very comfortable and very clean. The location was a perfect base to explore the area with everything we wanted to see and do was 20 to 30 minutes away. One morning the horses were in the paddock which was such a treat. I highly recommend Petal's Patch and we will certainly return on future visits.

A spacious property but lacking in warmth and character.

Needs an internal redesign in the lounge with more furniture and pictures. Everything was spotless and towels and linen excellent. The property booklet had very little info.needs reviewing Very small outside sitting area just grass. Very handy for local villages

This was our second stay at Petals Patch this year.

The only suggestions that would make OUR experience better are….I have trouble with my joints and struggle to bend down, a shower caddy/rack/shelf would be good in the showers to hold soap, shampoos etc. No TV’s in the bedroom, we do like to watch TV in bed at night, I did miss this on our stay. The lounge area is huge (fantastic) could do with a bigger TV there. We are very private people and usually choose our holiday breaks mainly on location and privacy. Maybe a hedge or some kind of fencing would work behind the house? We felt we could not open the net curtain and patio doors due to the buildings opposit and wouldn’t feel comfortable sitting out in the garden area. As I mentioned these are not complaints, only suggestions!! Our stay was great!! As usual the house was very clean and tidy, beds are very comfy!! Location is fantastic, close to everywhere. We are hopefully returning to the Cotswolds again next year and looking forward. P.S bought a bag of horse treats with me….but where were the horses this time??? Lol

We’ve just returned home after a 3 night stay at Petal’s Patch.

We drove from the North and the cottage was easy to find and the directions on the website were perfect. The cottage was really clean and bright with everything you needed. The beds were super comfy and lots of hot water in the shower. We turned the heating on in the evening and the cottage was warm and cosy. Petal’s Patch is perfectly located for visiting the Cotswolds and we went to the Farmer’s Dog and Diddly Squat Farm which were nearby. Thank you Helen… we had a great time

Our stay at Petals Patch was lovely.

The property exceeded our expectations, it was thoroughly clean and so comfortable. The area was so quiet and peaceful and a lovely treat for the kids seeing the horses throughout the day. If we were to visit the area again we would definitely stay here. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for comfort, peace and tranquility. Thank you to the owners, who have thought of everything!

Nice modern property in a lovely setting.

Spacious, well equipped & clean. Our host couldn’t have been more pleasant & welcoming. The weather was exceptional all week. Sitting out on the Patio near the resident horses was a delight. Ample storage space outside for our 4 bikes. Spacious parking. Near to The Slaughters & Bourton on the Water. Lots of dining out available locally.

Our stay at Petals Patch was brilliant, the whole place was really lovely and had everything you needed.

The horses outside are so friendly, our little boy loved seeing them every morning. It’s a great base for visiting all areas of the Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Water is 5 mins away and such a lovely place! Would definitely book again!

Our stay at Petals Patch was perfect!

!!! We weren’t sure of what to take with us, but everything was there…washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, shampoo, hairdryer, iron and board the list goes on. Leaflets of attractions was to hand. It was cosy, comfy, very clean, close to everywhere....yet in a peaceful quite area. If we’d visit the Cotswolds again we would defo stay there again

A very comfortable and well equipped holiday home.

Excellent base to visit so many of the wonderful cotswolds towns and villages. The house has good quality furnishings and the beds are very comfortable. Can recommend Petals Patch as a nice place to stay.

A very enjoyable stay.

The property was clean and welcoming with comfortable bed with freshly pressed sheets that was a joy to get into. Host on hand should you need them. An added pleasure having horses on your doorstep . Near lots of lovely villages to visit. Well worth a stay.

Well and comfortably furnished property in peaceful countryside on equestrian farm/ holding.

Near main road for easy access to main Cotswold Villages.Utensils/ cutlery and crockery very good standard and thoughtful provision of coffee pods and tea. Owner very helpful and responsive with our queries. It would help to have white goods manuals in welcome booklet

Our second visit and it won’t be the last.

Beautifully appointed, cosy and comfortable it radiates tranquility and yet is so near Stow on the Wold and all the other places of interest. The downstairs accommodation is ideal for someone with limited mobility who can’t manage stairs and the hard wood flooring is easy to navigate. Super stay!

Our family of 4 had a lovely stay at Petals Patch over New Years week.

Its a beautiful and well-equipped property very close to both Bourton-on-the-water and Stow-on-the-Wold and set in the picturesque countryside. Having been the Cotswolds a few times before, we were familiar with the area but still had much to explore. We enjoyed day trips to Bourton including visiting the Model Village, to the Oxford Bus Museum in Long Hanborough, and to the Batsford Arboretum & Moreton-on-Marsh. Kids also enjoyed walks near the property recommended by our host. We would definitely stay at Petals Patch again.

Lovely stylish property, very comfortable, will definitely stay again

The property was in a good condition and of a reasonable standard for the price paid.

The outside space had very modest budget patio chairs and table and the patio umbrella didn’t have a base so it just flopped around when the wind blew. There was no facilities to dry clothing and a simple airer clothes stand would have been beneficial. There was only one baking tray and I believe this was mentioned in a previous review so it is disappointing that the owner has not taken action to resolve this. Overall a nice property but with a few niggles that could be resolved for less than £100.

We thought that Petals Patch was a lovely barn conversion and perfect for our needs.

Everything was spotless and well maintained. Like other guests we enjoyed early evening rabbit spotting. The beds were super comfy and there were lashings of hot water. We would have liked a little more crockery (especially mugs) and cutlery to avoid over using the dishwasher or (horror!) washing up by hand. Like other guests, we thought instructions for the central heating would have been useful. Also to note, despite the address, the barn is not in the village of Lower Slaughter but a 30 minute walk from the centre. It wasn't an issue for us but some people do like to be in a village.

We would like to say we had a wonderful visit first class the property was clean and of a high standard we are already planning another visit.

We had such a wonderful stay at petals patch.

It was spotless, comfortable, spacious and the location was perfect - very close to all of the places we wanted to visit. The kids loved spotting bunnies in the fields outside and watching the horses. We will definitely be returning!

Excellent location for exploring the beautiful Cotswold village.

We were there during a chilly spell in April and really appreciated the toasty warmth of the property. Quiet location we enjoyed watching the rabbits, horses and birds around the property. All in all a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful tranquil stay in this beautiful property.

It was so quiet and restful and we enjoyed the comfortable surroundings. The upstairs mezzanine was lovely for working - great place to write a book! We struggled a bit with the heating to start with and had to ring the owner - maybe a short explanation in the guest book would be helpful for guests? No shaver/toothbrush sockets in the bathrooms so that needs to be noted on the property guide. Overall a bit light on crockery and cutlery for 4 people - we probably had to put the dishwasher on more because of that but that shouldn’t detract from a beautiful well-appointed property and the promise that we will be back!

Our second stay at Petals Patch, everything as lovely as last time.

We had a minor issue that was promptly sorted out by the owner who couldn’t have been more helpful. The beds are very comfortable and all the furnishings are of a high standard. Location is excellent for all the Cotswolds has to offer. Lovely setting too.

We had a great time at Petals Patch even though the weather wasn't the best.

We had everything we needed and loved watching the horses in the fields outside. The things I thought could be better :- 1) The keybox which was the most complicated I've ever come across. 2) The toilet roll holder in the downstairs en-suite was loose. 3) A shower caddy would be good to save having to bend down to pick up bottles of shampoo etc. It is quite a small shower tray in an area which could easily have one full width, still that would be a long term project. 4) It took us 5 days to discover the light switch by the downstairs bedroom door to the living area lights. It's hidden by the curtains! By convention all switches should be on the door handle side not the hinge side. 5) We found the large glass table lamps took up a lot of the bedside table which was also small. We have phone chargers, Kindles and various medications etc so it was quite tight. 6) There are also a few snagging items such as missing grout from a tile in the en-suite and no radiator pipe covers to hide the holes in the tiles. It would also be nice to have perhaps some internal drawers in the kitchen units above and below the microwave to allow more food storage area. These units have a lot of wasted space. As it was we ate out most of the time so it didn't matter to us but might to a large family. Also the front door "Stable door" bolt between the lower and upper halves is quite loose causing the door to rattle and we thought on a number of occasions that somebody was knocking on the door. It was quite windy though. All the above are probably a consequence of my career in construction having to look for faults before handing over properties to clients. Overall it was a lovely place & I'd stay again without hesitation.

Only one thing comes to mind, is that the amount if flies when you open the gorgeous windows. We realise it is near horses and you get flies. But a portable fan would would make it a lot more comfortable on warm to hot days. Other than that, our stay was brilliant. So close to so many places, we were split. Thank you

Walking distances of the Slaughters. The Wheatsheaf at Northleach serves fantastic food and Circencester is well worth a visit. The men enjoyed the Hawkstone Brewery Tour which is also within staggering distance. Highly recommend a stay at Petals Patch

We've just returned from a lovely break at petals patch and wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our stay.

Your barn is really well maintained with high quality fixtures and furnishings. The bedrooms and bathrooms are warm and welcoming, lovely and clean with very comfortable mattresses. I did find the pillows a little hard but thats probably because I use goose feather ones at home. The main living areas have everything we needed for comfort with a lovely view of the horses and the kitchen was well thought out. We've visited this area many times and find petals patch very central for travelling to all the beautiful villages nearby. We would definitely visit your property again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in this area. Thank you for a lovely break.

Very modern and in a lovely setting.

Some minor issues. Assuming we were the first visitor's this year. Stale smell of stagnant water in bathroom on arrival. Once shower had been used this went. Floor in living area had been brushed but not moped. Large water like stains around bottom of stairs to the mezzanine floor. Glass on floor next to couch on mezzanine floor,( still there now for you to see ). Therefore, area not cleaned from previous occupants. Bathroom extractor fan rattles constantly when windy, very annoying when trying to sleep, probably not a lot you can do to change this. Television has a very poor reception, maybe due to the Internet or poor WiFi. Also in our opinion on the wrong wall being on an angle to the seating area would be better hung where the picture is. You may think by stating the above we were not happy with our stay. This is not the case as we had a very enjoyable stay, just thought we would highlight some minor points as we would be happy to return. Especially if you added a hot tub!!!!

This property is fabulous.

It has everything you could wish for in a self catering holiday: a well equipped kitchen, warmth and comfort , quiet, brilliantly situated for exploring the Cotswolds, easy parking, an amazing welcome pack and accessible and friendly owners if you need to know anything. The only things we might ask if possible is if there could be added a serving dish for salad etc in the kitchen and maybe a small stool to put things on in the upstairs bedroom and information about the bins in the visitor book. These things are not essential but would be nice. We had a great stay there and are looking forward to going again as soon as possible.

We had a lovely stay, warm and toasty in this very cold weather.

Beds were extremely comfortable. No issues with any appliances. Nice outlook and patio to enjoy in the warmer months. Would recommend and will definitely return as we found the facilities to be suited to someone with reduced mobility. Nespresso machine a huge bonus! The only thing that would enhance further would be some baking trays, foil and kitchen roll! Thank you.

During our recent stay we had a couple of issues with the heating not coming on regularly which meant it was very cold in the morning and also we couldn’t get the hob to work.

I tried to contact the owner on 3 separate occasions and had no response, very disappointing. Welcome pack was extremely limited and the cottage would benefit from an information brochure highlighting walks, restaurants etc for guests. The outside area of the barn was full of tiles and rubbish which was quite unsightly. Would not hurry to book again.

We had an amazing break in this beautiful cottage.

It was even better than we expected. The location was perfect and what a lovely surprise to wake up to 3 friendly horses in the field one morning. The only tiny thing that I can give as feedback is slightly bigger drinking glasses in place of the small ones but that is just a minor thing and did not affect our stay in any way. The welcome treats were also very much appreciated. We can’t wait to return.
