  • "We loved our stay at Owl barn it’s a lovely getaway to relax and unwind and be with nature."

The view is absolutely beautiful so quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was a huge hit with the children. It was such a thoughtful welcome pack much needed after a long journey. The home was well equipped and really gave you the experience of home from home. For a barn conversion it was so warm. We loved seeing the chickens in the fields and the wide variety of wild birds.

  • "Spent a week at Owl Barn, very clean & kitchen had more than enough mugs plates etc + washing machine tablets & cleaning products."

The only downside was the double bed in the smaller room, although the bed was very comfy, good quality bed linen, there was not enough room to easily move around the bed on one side or fully open the wardrobe door. The downstairs shower was the best option out of the 2, not much umph in them. The sofas were very comfortable which makes a nice change from some of the cottages we’ve stayed at. The food at the pub was the best we’ve had in a long time & they allow dogs! Overall we had a good stay & the view from the hot tub was so relaxing plus except for 1 day the weather was good. Thank you Owl Barn.

  • "Exceptional stay in a comfortable home in a quiet location."

I chose this house to rent because of the hot tub, number of bedrooms, location and number of sofas. We had a lovely time, my family loved the playground, the view from the property was outstanding. We went for a lovely walk from the house and spent lots of time cooking and in the hot tub. We didn’t need to drive anywhere once we got there and that made it even nicer. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook 2 large meals for 6 people :)

  • "We usually so 3/4 UK breaks in cottage/lodges per year."

I can honestly say that Owl Barn is one of the cosiest and cleanest rentals we've ever stayed in. The property is very well stocked with utensils and everything you may need. Although we didn't meet the owners, we were met with a lovely welcome packs and some everyday essentials - very appreciated. The lodge is very comfortable and homely - the pictures on Sykes really do not do it any justice at all! The kids enjoyed the playground very much. It is secluded and very peaceful. The hot tub was an ok temperature (seemed to cool as the nights went on, as a lot do) and was very spacious (comfortable for 4 people IMO). The WiFi was generally very good for us. The phone signal was dependent on where you were stood inside (EE/Vodafone). Overall we had a great stay and would recommend Owl Barn for couples and families.

Beautiful house with everything you need for the weekend.. the photos don’t do the place justice. Lovely and peaceful and hot tub is fab! There’s a lovely pub a 10 minute walk down the road (Butchers Arms) which does a fantastic roast for a very very reasonable price id deffo recommend booking for a meal! Couldn’t fault this place at all, hosts were also great and very on hand for anything we needed! We will definitely be returning. Thank you for having us!

  • "Just back from a lovely week in Herefordshire."

The cottage was as described and was perfect for the 7 of us that stayed (4 adults and 3 children). The bedrooms and communal areas were comfortable. We uses the hot tub, although the weather itself was warm enough and we also made use of the BBQ (suggest that you take or buy some BBQ coals to use). The kitchen is well equipped with a cooker, hob, microwave, toaster and tall fridge freezer; with good cupboard space for storing essentials. The local pub is only a 15 minute walk and we would highly recommend eating there or having the take away. The owners of the cottage kindly provided us with a menu for the local pub. The shops for essentials are about a 15 minute drive away. Only negative was that some of the kitchen utensils (including knives) had been broken, however the chipped glasses were instantly replaced when noted and Ant (who checks the hot tub levels twice daily) was very approachable for any concerns. The play area had cleaning spray for us to use once the children had finished, due to Covid guidance. I would definitely stay here again due to the quiet, but friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the cottage and its owner.

  • "The only thing that wasn’t the best was the seating outside."

We had a party of 7 but there was only 4 chairs outside. Other than that we had an amazing time and the barn is beautiful.

  • "Lovely cottage, plenty of room for 7 of us although looks bigger in the pictures."

Tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid provided. A plate of freshly baked scones, cream and jam made for a lovely welcome. Lovely, powerful hot tub, room for 4 comfortably, 6 at a squeeze. Tub was not filled when we arrived so had to wait until following day before it was warm enough to use. Not a very friendly telephone manor when we phoned about key collection.
