The Piggery

Lovely relaxing holiday , The beds very comfortable everything you could need for a great stay .

Immaculately clean . Will book again.

There was a smell of damp in the building which was not pleasant, and the sofa was difficult to stand up from, so not suitable for anyone with back issues, however everything else was excellent and very clean and very well arranged.

The Piggery and the surrounding cottages was ideal for us as they accepted dogs and they loved it too!

Perfect for exploring the area and also for relaxation

Lovely well maintained holiday homes in a peaceful location.

Property has everything you could need. We had a lovely time there

Amazing relaxing place, great hosts would return again and recommend

The Piggery is a lovely cottage in a great location for visiting Hereford and surrounding area.

We had such a lovely stay at The Piggery!

It’s a cosy little place with two good-sized double bedrooms and everything (and more!) that we needed as a family of two adults and two young children. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and felt like a real home-from-home. The hot tub and private patio area were a real treat, and the kids loved playing in the small gated community area — it felt safe and peaceful, yet still close enough to the city for a nice meal out. We even had delicious homemade cupcakes waiting for us on arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. We met the hosts at the end of our stay and they were absolutely lovely — so warm and welcoming. Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing break in a beautiful setting, and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Beautiful accommodation, everything was spotlessly clean and well laid out.

The complimentary cupcakes were lovely. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully return in the future.

Beautiful accommodation.

Extremely clean and well maintained. The communal garden and surroundings were lovely. Accommodation had anything you could need for a weeks stay. We stayed with our two month old baby and our dog, plenty of space for us all and would definitely stay again.

Everything you needed was there lovely and clean ,can’t fault it will be booking again

A lovely, high spec property.

Spent 5 days with my two teenage children and we had plenty of room and really enjoyed our stay. Used the hot tub every day which was a real treat. We were there on the hottest day of the year but the Piggery felt lovely and cool inside.

Great hosts and a great area for exploring

We really enjoyed our stay at the Piggery.

The communal gardens were in excellent condition, clean, and really well maintained! The accommodation was clean, the facilities were excellent, plus the bed in the ground floor bedroom was very comfortable. We made use of the small front garden and hot tub which again were well maintained. We had a lovely walk around the gardens at Hampton Court castle, a short drive away. Thank you to Steph and Jarrod and your team. We'll definitely return & have recommended you to family!

Stunning cottage in fabulous grounds.

Central for exploring areas like the Cotswolds,Wye Valley and Welsh Borders. Cottage is high spec and has everything you need. The outdoor space is also excellent with a fabulous private hot tub and seating area. One thing to maybe consider is we found the sofa and bed upstairs very low which from a mobility & bad knee or back scenario made getting down to them and back up from them a little bit difficult. We have to say though that they were both really comfortable whilst lying / sitting down. This is not a criticism but maybe just something to consider pointing out for the less mobile. All in all we had an amazing few days and would highly recommend The Piggery or one of the other holiday rentals in the grounds.

The Piggery was absolutely fantastic!

The facilities were amazing. It was spotlessly clean, the beds were super-comfortable, the garden was perfect for my dog, the hot tub was gorgeous and everything inside The Piggery was designed to make our stay incredibly relaxing - starting with the cupcakes and doggy treats on arrival! Herefordshire is a stunning county and The Piggery fits perfectly into its surroundings. We had a wonderful stay - thank you so much!

An absolutely beautiful property, even better than the pictures!

The owners thought of everything and gave us everything we could possibly need for our stay. We will be returning!

A lovely holiday stay, very central location whilst also managing to be tucked away in the countryside.

We would come back and recommend to others :)

We had a wonderful stay at The Piggery for Christmas.

We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious cup cakes on arrival. Our family booked two other stables there and all are very nice. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. In the words of our son 'it was the best Christmas ever'. We will definitely return in the near future. Thank you!

What a find!

We’ve been searching for a decent place to stay in Hereford for years and we have finally found one. The Piggery is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Oh, and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to eat in (recommend Legges Farm shop, a 5 mins drive). Jarrod, the owner was friendly and attentive and we also met Bridget, the lovely housekeeping lady, who looks after the property so well. We spent 3 nights with our teenage daughter and dog. The garden is fine for the dog’s morning wee but keep on a lead because there are a few gaps in the hedge. Locally, Aylestone Park is ideal for the dog to have a good run. The Cross Keys Pub across the road is friendly but doesn’t serve food, do recommend that you bring a few staples with you. Looking forward to our next stay at the Piggery,

Was a lovely lodge very clean very tidy and comfortable and with the storm affecting us and flooding the owner kindly woke us up and moved our cars so they didn’t flood and lent us wellies and helped pack the cars up and directed us a way back home so we would avoid the most puddles

A very comfortable and attractive property, close to Hereford and good access to countryside for walking etc.

The hot tub was very luxurious! Excellent value!

Lovely converted barn with hot tub, ideally located for beautiful walks and exploring Hereford.

Good cooking facilities and comfortable bed. Ideal for a couple (we only used one bedroom) but a second bedroom is available.

This is our second time of staying at this holiday site.

We had previously stayed in the stables, this time staying in the piggery. The piggery was a larger property with more space for us and our dog which was ideal. However the bed was only a double which we struggled with for comfort and space. It has a lovely walk in shower and great kitchen facilities with everything you need. TV was a placed a little bit high and the sofa was quite low so anyone with mobility issues may have problems. Outside our patio has a fantastic hot tub which we much appreciated after a hot day out and about. There is a great enclosed communal garden area for everyone who’s staying so you can exercise your dog and let them do their business in the knowledge they are safe off lead there. All in all a lovely place to stay and highly recommend. We will definitely visit again in the future. A big thank you to Jared and Steph!

My sister and I have a fantastic stay at the Piggery, we had everything you need for a home to home stay, well equipped and very clean , hot tub was lovley, would be a 5 star if the sofa was not so low and the TV so high, one of us has mobility issues and the low settee was difficult to get out of due to being so low to the floor , but was not mentioned in the description when we booked, but would certainly go back again If this issue was resolved .

Thank you for a lovely stay. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Had a lovely week at The Piggery.

If I had to give some feedback I would say, it was very clean but some of the grout in the shower needs a scrub. Beds are very small, we did not use the upstairs room but the bed was very low. The one in the downstairs room was comfy. The sofa is again very low and it’s very difficult to get off it. Apart from that the place is very well presented, all the amenities you need for a week. The little outside area is gorgeous, private but also the communal area which is immaculately maintained. Location wise, it’s about a 10 minute drive to supermarkets, I would say you need a car to get about. There is a bus service but it’s only every few hours and stops early evening. It is on the main road which is very busy but I felt we did not notice this, it was a relaxing stay.

Amazing accommodation, clean, tidy everything we wished for.

The hot tub was spotless thank you

Super location (only a few miles from Hereford and Leominster) so it’s the perfect place from which to explore the local area.

Sleeps 4 but as we were just 2, we had lots of space. Spotlessly clean throughout, kitchen is equipped with cooker, dishwasher and microwave although no washing machine/tumble dryer and only a small tabletop freezer. Perfectly private hot tub and good parking arrangements. We enjoyed our time here.

Beautiful place, our 3rd visit.

Feels like a home from home. Lovely surroundings, everything is catered for. Hot tub is definitely a bonus. Good location for exploring. Looking forward to going back again

Fantastic place, very clean and well equipped.

Loved the hot tub and tvs in all rooms. My only dislike is how low to the floor the furniture is. Just not comfy enough for us. Was a lovely relaxing trip.

Initial finding of the cottage was good, very quirky, clean and set in pretty communal orchard style garden.

Complimentary cup cakes were delicious and dog biscuits welcome. However property was on quite a busy road and traffic could be heard throughout the night especially with the roof light windows open or on vent. Its situation also made it impossible to walk the dog safely as no pavements or footpaths were on any side requiring the car to be used to drive to appropriate dog friendly areas. The only local pub was very close but didn't provide any food and no other local facilities ie shops/store available within walking distance. We found the bed facilities awkward as the ground floor one was a basic double and a little short in length whilst the upstairs was a futon bed making it difficult to get out of. I would suggest that anyone with any mobility issues would struggle. Also for the same reason, the lounge sofa was also far to low. The owner was very friendly, maintenance was good and information was offered regarding the area , but overall (no disrespect to him) we were disappointed with our first Sykes experience .

The piggery was outstanding!

We would highly recommend!!

Honestly what a place!

The piggery as well as the surrounding grounds were absolutely stunning. Everything was clearly thought out carefully, and everything you needed was available to you. The hot tub was amazing, and as it's only 2 feet from the front door (in your private courtyard), the dash inside was bearable in the minus 6 degrees temperature we enjoyed on our stay. Can't say enough positive things about this accomodation, and you should definitely book it if we haven't already beaten you to it.. Jarred was also very understanding when I set off the smoke alarms within 10 minutes of arriving, by accidentally putting an electric kettle on the hob as if it were a whistle one. Daft I know, but I like to think I'll forever hold the record for the quickest time the alarms been set off after arrival, and on a completely unrelated note - I now no longer make my wife cups of tea

Another perfect stay.

We can’t wait to come back again for a third time!

Cottage was amazing, absolute perfection, everything had been thought of and provided for.

Hot tub was very enjoyable! Ideal location for touring around Worcester, Wales and Gloucester. Position ideal for walking the dog, local shopping centre and places to eat. Would definitely return for another stay and would recommend 100%

We have had the most relaxing break, the Piggery was immaculately clean and maintained with all the equipment to facilitate the most enjoyable stay.

We recently stayed as a group of 4 adults at the piggery, with 2 dogs.

The accommodation was perfect, everything had been thought of. It was clean and tidy, and spacious. The decor was lovely, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The garden area was well-maintained and a safe environment for the dogs. There was also a more private garden with a hot tub which was lovely in the evenings. The location was ideal, less than a 10 minute drive to Hereford town, and also the river for the dogs to have a cool down. We also found a lovely circular walk around the area, allowing us to admire the countryside. We ate at ‘the beefy boys’ and had a roast in ‘the bookshop’ both of which come highly recommended! There’s also a lovely pub across the road, less than a 2 minute walk! We would highly recommend the piggery and will more than likely return for another stay, thank you so much!

We just love it there.

Always clean and tidy. It has such a lovely feel for it. Our daughter loves the upstairs room, 'the princess room' going back in easter for the third time. Scooby says thank you for the biscuits

Property is absolutely stunning.

Everything you need is there. Spotlessly clean and the outside space is really lovely. The owners attention to detail shows, absolutely loved the mix of old and new in the property. I would highly recommend this property. It is exceptional

Lovely accommodation.

Fabulous outside space for dogs, nice enclosed patio area as well. Hot tub was a great. Inside there is everything you could want. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this wonderful property

We loved our stay at The Piggery.

The owners made us feel very welcome. It’s a stunning place to stay, enhanced by the hot tub which was the perfect place to spend an evening. Location was perfect too, being close to Hereford for picking up food but still remote in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. We’ll be recommending to family and friends!

A beautiful place to stay.

We stayed in The Piggery. A lovely cottage and finished to a high standard. We thought the drinks and cakes that were left for us on our arrival was a really nice touch. If there was one thing that I would change, it would be the sofa in the lounge. It is soooo low and difficult to get off. On the whole, a lovely holiday cottage. Jarred was very friendly and helpful regarding the area. We would stay here again.

Wow what a beautiful place!

Lovely setting. Great for our dog scooby, nice enclosed area. Hot tub was lovely, very clean. Inside you had everything you could want. Our daughter loved the room upstairs, she felt like a princess ! Looking forward to re booking and exploring more of the area. Thank you x

Fantastic property and a great area to visit

We booked a very last minute break.

I was extremely happy with The Piggery. The property was so clean, comfortable, good location and the welcome pack went down a treat. I felt that these properties were loved and were so well looked after. Inside, quality furnishings. The outside area spotless. The hot tub just fab. I could not fault. We are already looking to book another stay. Thank you

The property was amazing, I have been watching these properties being built as I drive along this road everyday so seeing what they were like inside was wonderful ….

Lovely little touches with cupcakes, milk and orange juice and of course treats for my fur babies. When we arrived the house was lovely and warm and hot tub ready to be used. We have already booked another stay with them which I am already counting down the day

We had a great stay here over the new year, there was lots of places to visit near by and the accommodation was clean and tidy.

We loved the arrival gifts especially the treats for the dogs. Would highly recommend and would return. Thank you so much.

5 star accommodation well maintained lovely safe area for dogs.

Would recommend to visit.

The property was beautiful, so clean and comfortable and lovely setting.

We had an issue connecting to Wifi on arrival but the host resolved this really quickly. Highly recommend this or one of the other properties next door. Sykes check out time (09:30) is quite early and there isn’t any flexibility on this would be the only negative feedback.

What a beautiful property.

The piggery was fantastic. We loved everything. The hot tub was lovely. The communal garden was great for playing ball with the dog. We will definitely be back. We didn’t want to come home. The owners were lovely and the welcome pack was a really nice touch. The only thing for me was the sofa was really low down and the tv hard to watch from it. Also need some egg cups. Having said that I will still rebook. I felt like I’d been away for a month.

Loved everything about this place except for the sofa.

It was a nice sofa, just too low for us. Our holiday was an unwind holiday so the sofa played quite an important role. Hosts were super helpful and we enjoyed our stay enormously.

Sometimes a sewerage smell in the bathroom Tv in lounge in arkward place for comfortable viewing perhaps would be better on tv stand

A superb accommodation, it was immaculate and super clean.

The hot tub was well maintained throughout the week. A very thoughtful welcome pack was provided which was very kind. There were a couple of factors that stopped us giving a 5 for comfort and these are not any fault of the owners but did have an impact on our stay. First was the lack of windows. We were lucky with the weather which meant it was very warm. There are only velux windows to open in both bedrooms and kitchen which was ok until a brief shower occurred and they automatically close and don’t reopen automatically. This meant some of our nights were uncomfortably hot

Such a beautifully converted barn, very modern and stylish.

The garden grounds were great to take the dogs for their first and last walks of the day, as they were lit up at night, which was also very attractive. The private courtyard with hot tub was a big hit with our daughters. The owners are very friendly and helpful and we arrived to a selection of thoughtful gifts. A memorable stay, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at The Piggery.

The cottage was absolutely perfect for the four of us, as well as our two dogs. We had glorious weather which meant we spent the majority of our time in the shared garden space too. The owners were so lovely and so accommodating - and if we needed anything they were sure to help us/provide for us. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much.

Lovely location and a great property.

Perfect holiday to have with the dogs.

The property was very clean and modern and all our needs were catered for.

Everything you would expect was provided and the little added extras were appreciated ☺️. Nothing to complain about. Thank you for enabling us to have a very chilled weekend!

Brillant property and location, The owner couldn't be more helpful.

. loved our stay

The Piggery is a truly lovely place to stay.

It’s a very stylish, clean and comfortable conversion in beautiful grounds, which are immaculate. The addition of a hot tub in the private courtyard is a bonus. The owners provide treats and essentials for your arrival and there is a traditional pub literally outside of the property. It’s situated within easy distance of Hereford centre, Ross and the Chase Gin Distillery as well as Bodenham Lake, which is a lovely for a meadow/lake/wood walk. All in all we spent a smashing long weekend at the Piggery and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. An easy 5 stars.

SSH, don’t tell anyone.

. keep it secret. Wow what can I say about my amazing stay at the piggery. The whole barn has been done to top spec and is absolutely beautiful. The area surrounding is fantastic, there is so much to see & do if you can tear yourself away from this lovely place. I will have no hesitation in booking again.

What a wonderful little find.

This place was lovely and we will definitely book again. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, we could not have been happier.

Amazing property!

Will definitely be returning. We had the best time and had all our needs met. Lovely owners, very welcoming and the property had a lot of thoughtful added extras.

The Piggery at Cross Keys was amazing, in a fantastic location with superb facilities - we’d go as far to say the pictures and reviews don’t do it enough justice.

If we had one niggle, it was no freezer department in the fridge for ice but that certainly didn’t have any impact on our stay. Lincoln and Ro loved being able to stretch their legs in the communal gardens. As hosts, Jarrod and Steph were fab, as were any other members of staff we passed. 10/10 all round!

Beautiful property that myself and my family thoroughly enjoyed.

Lovely stay.

The property was great and the people and dogs had a great stay. Thanks for welcome pack too! A lovely surprise.

The piggery is a beautiful cottage which had everything you need.

The set up the owners have is lovely. I believe they have about 4 different cottages and a communal garden which was landscaped beautifully. There were others staying but didn’t see or hear them. The hot tub in the piggery was a really good size and it felt very private. We were really happy with the piggery and would love to stay again. Only a couple of miles from Hereford city centre and only a couple of miles from some lovely dog walks. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, modern, cosy barn conversion.

All the mod cons a family could need for a quiet break away, with the bonus being the private hot tub outside. No noise from other guests nearby and the owners could not be more helpful.

Me my wife and two children just came back from three nights what a beautiful place everything was 5star you wont find many places as well looked after than there can't wait to book for next year

Perfect base for exploring the area.

Very high standard of accommodation. Cosy and well equipped, log burner and hot tub great. Lovely touches on arrival.

Amazing Stay!

The Piggery was the perfect base for our pre Christmas family break. The hot tub and fire were used most days and the local pub, just over the road, ‘Cross Keys’ were so welcoming despite being so busy; it’s a traditional little gem of a pub where everyone actually talks to each other! We had amazing walks in the area including: Biblins walk, Malvern Beacon, Weobley and down by the river and back again ending up at the Bunch of Carrots for a fantastic Sunday lunch (booking is recommended). Ludlow was also a lovely day out. Can’t thank Jarod and family enough for everything, we had a super stay. Only constructive feedback is that due to having no freezer we would struggle in the summer with wanting ice for drinks, so maybe a communal small one in the garage for guests to use (in November it stayed frozen outside so was fine!) Thanks for a great stay. Emma and family

We had a lovely stay at the piggery.

The place was spotless and very comfortable. Loved the additional touches left for us. Great location too. Highly recommended this place

Absolutely stunningly flawless property!

Really enjoyed our stay! Felt safe, warm, beds are comfortable, had everything we needed and more! Loved the welcome gifts left for us on arrival :) Location is great, only 10 mins drive from Hereford centre. Would only recommend the 0930 check out is slightly later.. was the only improver I can think of xx

We had a fabulous stay at The Piggery.

The accommodation was clean and well presented. We enjoyed every minute of it. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back for another stay. Thank you

Fantastic property, very clean and immaculately presented.

I can’t praise The Piggery enough, the underfloor heating and wood burner mean’t it was lovely and warm and the hot tub was an added bonus. I didn’t think we would use it as it was the second week in January, but we got to use it every night. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyed a great holiday at The Piggery!

Would highly recommend and definitely re-book. Thanks

We had a lovely stay at The Piggery.

Lovely cottage, wonderful hot tub & beautiful area. Friendly owners who were knowledgeable about the area. Lovely meal at The Bell Inn. Visited Cross Keys pub, warm welcome, like going back in time. Well worth a visit for a good pint.

Lovely property, very clean.

Lots available within close proximity. We went with our little one but I would suggest it is more of a couples stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Piggery, we only wished we could of stayed longer.

It's a beautiful converted barn, very cosy especially with the log burner on a night and everything you could think of is catered for. The owners are very friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as it was, leaving plenty of nice little touches on arrival which wasn't expected but very appreciated. Plenty of things to do around the area, just a short drive away and dog friendly. The locals in the pub were also very friendly and made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend The Piggery and would love to come back one day.

We stayed here at the beginning of August with 2 x girls under 10 and loved it The owners have a great eye for detail and was immaculate throughout.

The owners were also very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Coming back to the large hot tub everyday was very welcome and the kids loved it. The main bedroom was very dark once the lights went out and with Netflix in the kids bedroom this made for very long like ins which were most welcome. Visited Hereford down the road, Bike ride from Monmouth on the Peregrine Path up to Symonds Yat and a half day canoeing trip down the River Wye at Symonds Yat which was 40min away. Will definitely love to come back and maybe hire out the other accommodation on site with friends.

We had a lovely week in The Piggery.

The home was clean, with great facilities, and lovely little touches. The hosts were helpful and accommodating. We would certainly look to return in the future.

Myself and my family Spent a week here at this lovely property, it is safe to say we loved our time here, the cottage was beautiful and absolutely spotless, the attention to detail around the cottage was fantastic and even some of the small things like having bread and milk there for us on arrival and even a packet of treats for our dog we’re very thoughtful, outside of the cottage and the garden area with the hot tub was lovely too, the hot tub was fantastic and was maintained every morning by the owner who could not have been any more accommodating for any questions we had to ask and nothing was too much trouble for him, overall I would recommend this property to anyone to stay in, we hope to return to it very soon.

We had a brilliant week at The Piggery with our two dogs.

The attention to detail was above and beyond everything we excepted with lots of lovely little touches that made the stay extra special. The place itself has been renovated to the highest standards and it’s clear that a lot of love has gone into the holiday let. We loved the hot tub, the perfect place to relax after a busy day of walking. We would highly recommend and would love to come back soon.

Brilliant stay at The Piggery!

The lodge was cosy and spacious. One thing to note is that there is no freezer - this isn’t an issue just don’t pick up your food shop before you arrive like we did as we then had to bin the freezer food. Would highly recommend this stay!

The Piggery and it’s location were excellent.

The accommodation was excellent very clean and comfortable and the hot tub a very welcome bonus, we’ve already booked for Christmas so can’t wait.

Would love to say thank you so much for your hospitality during our stay, the property absolutely blew our minds, it was the perfect get away after such an awful past 12 months and we will certainly be booking and visiting you again!

Lovely cottage.

We stayed for Christmas and could not be happier, the house was gorgeous in a perfect location.

The accommodation was fantastic, done to a really high standard and very comfortable.

It has everything you need plus little extras which was a really nice touch by the hosts. Very dog friendly and perfect for a romantic getaway. We will definitely be going back!

Fabulous Mini Break in the countryside.

First Class facilities with so many 'nice little touches' from Prosecco, Fresh Orange and Filtered Water that was provided to a frehly baked loaf of bread and slices of cake! It was an absolute delight to stay at the Piggery with the owners Jarrod and Steph being on hand if we needed anything. We will be booking again and soon

Fantastic stay at "The Piggery",could not fault the accomodation, was pure luxury and the hot tub was amazing.

All the little treats upon arrival was well received.Owners are lovely people they have really done themselves proud,Would recommend to all,Thankyou for such a wonderful stay.

Great place to stay beautifully set out with wonderful hosts.

Would definitely recommend.
