  • "Sweet little cottage, however very cramped for 3 adults and a baby."

A travel cot was supplied but there was nowhere to put it so the baby had to sleep in the bed. We requested a high chair but we couldn’t find it anywhere. The photos make the cottage look much bigger than it actually is. It should be made clear that there’s no room for luggage in the bedroom so to pack light. Otherwise great location to be used as a base for exploring the Cotswold.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed the wonderful location of our cottage in the Cotswolds. We are very sorry to hear that Housekeeping didn’t leave the high chair out for you on this occasion, however, in the welcome folder you will find the information showing where it is stored due to the limited space. The travel cot provided does fit at the end of the king size bed, we apologise that on this occasion this was not placed there or the position communicated to you. This is an old cottage as can be seen on the photos along with the description which clearly shows that the bedrooms are located in the eaves indicating limited space. However, there is hanging space on both bedroom doors, also a large chest of drawers available for your belongings. We hope to be able to welcome you back again soon. Property Owner

  • "We had an amazing stay at Honeysuckle Cottage."

We managed to stay just before the second lockdown began and as key workers it was the peace and quiet we really needed. The cottage is so cosy and has everything you need for a relaxing break. It is set in a beautiful village with views of the village green. The beds were comfy and the huge bath was amazing! We would definitely come and stay again.

  • "We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage."

It was clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Excellent garden space for the dogs (and humans!). It was especially nice to find eggs, butter, milk and bread in the kitchen, as we were worried about when we would get to the shops. Thank you for the lovely countryside break.

  • "Very clear pre-visit information and directions."

Cottage was small and perfectly formed with everything you might need on a short break.

  • "A beautiful cottage in a very quiet village."

Beautifully decorated with super comfy beds. Although there are no amenities directly in the village there are plenty of lovely walks (which can be found in the books in the lounge) nearby. The welcome goodies mean you don’t have to rush to the shop and can build a trip into your day, as anything is a short drive or walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here, such a perfect break away from the hustle and bustle! Would definitely book again.

  • "It's in the small town of Sutton, not far from Shakespeare's former home, in peace and quiet."

Self-driving is recommended and parking is possible. As it is winter, tourists are few. The rest was good, the cottage kitchen was well equipped and the landlord prepared eggs, milk and bread and butter for us. The bedroom is on the second floor, small, but very warm. The washroom is excellent with a romantic bathtub and comfortable shower room.

  • "Our small family loved our stay at Honeysuckle Cottage."

We sat in the garden, walked on the green, and spent time with family in nearby Stourton. The small kitchen had everything you need and the sitting room was big enough for us and our two kids. The bedrooms are small so pack light and enjoy!

  • "Beautiful thatched cottage with lovely views of the village green and gardens."

Great location in quiet, small village but near nice restaurants and pubs (and 10 minutes away from grocery stores) and close to interesting attractions (all listed in the house book). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again.

  • "We had the best time in this super cute cottage."

On arrival we had a little welcome pack of bread, milk, eggs and cake. The house was spotless and catered for our needs. The BBQ was a great touch as we spent a lot of our evenings enjoying the house. Great location with some lovely places close by. All in all a super short break.

  • "My husband and I rented Honeysuckle Cottage for a few days as we had planned to visit nearby Blenheim Palace."

From the outside the cottage is absolutely charming and situated opposite the village green. On entering the kitchen we were delighted to see a welcome pack of bread, eggs, milk and butter, a lovely gesture by the owners. The kitchen was so well equipped with everything you could possibly need and was also spotlessly clean. The sitting room was very cosy and comfortable with a dining table and access to a very peaceful, relaxing back garden. Stairs lead from the sitting room to the two bedrooms and bathrooms. The bedrooms are very cosy with limited space for suitcases as we had brought so I would recommend travelling lighter. The beds were extremely comfortable and being in such a peaceful location we had a good nights sleep. The main bathroom was lovely with a huge bath and lots of towels, toilet roll and handsoap were provided. The second bathroom was small and had a sink and small shower cubicle but was perfectly adequate. We did have an issue with the hot water while we were there but the owners were very quick to get in contact with us when they knew we had a problem. There is also a management company nearby. There are wonderful walks from the cottage and such a lovely pub you can walk to and many more good pubs for food and drink are within a short drive. The cottage would also be a very good base for touring areas in the Cotswolds. I would thoroughly recommend Honeysuckle Cottage if you are looking for a very relaxing, peaceful location in a characterful cottage.
